I don’t know Italian or what she sings but it sure warms my heart and makes me cry happy tears! I just love this little lady! I bet her food is delicious 😋
♡~♡~♡ GINA ♡~♡~♡ Beautiful S Cookies!!! An Italian Favorite! She doesn't mess around with one batch or 2 dozen cookies - the lady makes 225 cookies in one afternoon!!! I love you dearly, Gina. ...YOU ARE MY FAVORITE! I love how you spread the love through your baking and cooking! God broke the mold when He made you....He sure did!!! ♡♡♡ THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
This video brought tears to my eyes Signora Gina reminds me so much of my late sweet dear Mamma Maria who passed away 1year ago. These ladies of this generation are becoming extinct they are/were so hard working and there is nothing they wouldn’t do for their families. They are precious gifts from God. Treasure your beautiful Mamma Gina she is a rare gem just like my Mamma was. I learned so much from her and I want to keep our Italian roots and traditions alive. Keep up the great videos they are very much appreciated. Connie from Montreal Canada 🇨🇦. God bless Signora Gina and her family. 🙏🙏. Ciao !!
Beautiful, Connie, I second that emotion.....long lost traditions still hanging on by a thread....we love these strong, loving women....my mother and grandma's too. ♡♡♡
I was so glad to see this young beautiful lady today. She always put a smile on my face. God bless her big beautiful heart. Thank you for sharing your wonderful food, beautiful voice, and stories with me.
This wonderful woman is kind enough to show everyone how to make her cherished recipe's, with great effort, a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Anyone who doesn't appreciate this with negative comments should look at all this and show some respect. God bless this good woman, mother and grandmother etc.
This is what I call a Queen of Cooks her sharing with us all is unbelievable she holds no secret holds on her recipes she gives to us not just what Ginacooks but her memories of when she was a young girl helping her beloved mother to cook for the family...the storytelling of every plate that Gina cooks she tells to us with such love of remembering who had shown how to cook i have never seen another cook or chef explain their recipes like Nonna Gina does...A BIG GRASSI GINA Te volio Bene...Elida (Jenny)
Every time I watch Grandma Gina, I feel happy like I am back in my own Italian Grandmother and my Great Grandmothers kitchen. I would always get a lesson on how to cook. After all I would grow up and have a husband and children of my own one day, she was right. They too lived just 5 minutes away and walking distance for us grandchildren. I grew up in a small rural town in upstate NY that was compromised mainly of Italian and Irish families, some Spanish (from Spain), Polish and German families as well. We had 2 churches, the Italian church and the Irish church. Everyone knew me as my fathers’s daughter. In other words, I was never called by my first name but always as, “oh, you are so and so’s daughter”...that always gave me a sense of pride and importance, however, misbehavior at church or church functions was not an option, lol. The Italian Community was wonderful to grow up in as a kid, it was like never being alone in the world. Sunday’s always began at church and after the aunts, uncles, cousins would gather at Grandmas for supper. Saturday nights would be dinner at Aunt Dorolea’s home, food galore, but out in the garage was where the fun was, beer on tap, two uncles on the accordion, one on the fiddle, music, singing and dancing!!! That where I learned to polka with my aunt Cheffy! All these memories pour back just hearing Grandma Gina’s voice, her lovely songs and that warm loving smile. I am 62 now, live in CA and I bless the day I found your channel. I am inspired every time and my husband is pretty happy too, for now he gets to enjoy my new recipes from Grandma Gina! Well, time to stop reminiscing and start baking, I have some S cookies to make! My Grandson lives in Georgia, but I am pretty sure the post office will make sure he gets some of Grandma Debbie’s S cookies. Thank you!!!💕💕💕
Can I just say, I LOVE HER. I feel like I just spent some time with my Grandma. When she started to sing, the tears came. I am Definitely making these..... Thank you so much.💕💕💕
Dear Gina, I am in awe of you. It's takes enormous upper body strength to mix, knead and roll out these cookies -- and you execute each step with love and respect for every single ingredient. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, as well as the stories behind these recipes. These cookies look delicious. Bless you!
I agree 100%!!! She makes it look easy and effortless, but it's anything but. She is so stinkin' adorable....I want to adopt her....or I want her to adopt me.
@@cherylsyoutubies Yes, Cheryl -- so true! She makes cooking from scratch look easy, and it's anything but! I never met my grandparents, so I consider Gina my "grandmother" from afar. I love watching her videos and hearing the original Italian songs!
Watching you and hearing your voice brings me through a looking glass of time to my past. I weep in memory of my mother-n-law who resembled you in so many ways. I miss her more than words can say. Her heart was as big and beautiful as your heart and I know this because your heart shows through your love of cooking and baking for your family. My husband makes your pizza dough all the time and when he does, we always say a blessing for you. You are such a beacon of inspiration to all, especially for those of us who were blessed to have married into an Italian family and taught the true essence of love and the gift of family. Thank you, Gina. You touch my heart in more ways than you will ever know. God bless you and give you a hundred more years of life so that you can cook and bake for your great-grandchildren's children. 🤗🤗
she is so darling, apart from the great recipes, I enjoy seeing her happy and cheerful mood. It is like a treat for me every time I see a new video from her. Wishing her many more years of healthy life.

Nona Gina I love your videos! I get a very warm and happy feeling watching you work very much the same way as watching a Bob Ross painting video. Every time you sing I just close my eyes and smile! Thank you Nona
My mother use to.make this recipe over 75 years ago when they came to this country and they melted the crisco on qthe stove in the can. Then cooled it down and mixed it. She also added a small cup of milk and used a meat hand grinder with a star tip. When cooled we used confectionary with little milk and either vanilla or lemon extract then we brushed with a pastry brush and when almost dry we put red and green sprinkle s for Christmas.
Love watching Gina. Reminds me of Italians who married into my family who are from Chiauci, but based in Cincinnati OH. Chiauci is not too far from where Gina is from. The food they could make was unbelievably amazing. I make all Gina's recipes. My 2 favorites is her tomato sauce & her lasagna. Yum!
My Grandma T used to make these cookies at all holidays. She would put them in boxes for all us kids, we looked forward to them, I never had her recipes, a little of this and some of that, she never measured anything, she just knew. Thank you so very much for your vlog and GOD BLESS.😀
This recipe was the basis of my Nana's anise cookies. Over the years she make with lemon or vanilla, cause only the old timers liked the anise flavored cookies. I miss my Nana's cooking
Oh my goodness, 225 cookies, whew! I love when you were looking for the pot holders, you are like, "where's the thing, where's the thing?" Thank you for putting the name of your songs.
We love you Italian Grandma! That’s what my little 5 year old daughter calls you, she likes to listen to you while she plays with her toys and today we made the S cookies! So much fun and so yummy! May God bless you and your family! Thank you for all you do! Love from Texas!

My sweet lady....I can’t thank you enough for making me smile, laugh and cry too! Your stories brought me back to my own childhood memories and those simple days of long ago. It has been 30 years since I lost my beloved mother and just listening to your beautiful accent reminded me so much of her and her broken English. It was like having her with me once more and for that alone I am eternally grateful to you, Nonna Gina! Don’t EVER change! You are PERFECT just as you are!!!! Love ya!!! 🥰. STAY SAFE! 🙏
hello Gina, I admire your cooking, baking and your splendid humor. May your whole family and friends admire your beautiful work and praise you! thank you for giving us such wonderful recipes. May God give you many years full of health.
Gina, I love you! You are da best! I love your singing, stories and your beautiful accent. I know if I would have known my grandmother and great grandmother they would of been just like you! I love when you say “God Bless America”. You remind me of my family. I was able to know my Great Great Uncle Adolph Rossi and he would say that all the time. ❤️
Dear Mama Gina, something about you keeps reminding me of my mother, your accent, things you say and the way you say it, the way you sing and remember songs from your time in Italy, even the way you repeat certain things, or say, ‘Ok’. Well, I just read the FAQ about you which was wonderful to read! I then looked up where Faeto is and see that it is in the Puglia region where my mother is from, the City of Lecce! My mother was born in 1917 and married my father, an Italian American soldier during WWII, they married and after the war moved to Brooklyn, NY where my father was living before the war. They lived also at Rockaway Beach before moving to Long Island where they lived until 1978, when my father retired from teaching and moved to Southern California for better weather. I love your show, it warms my heart, love all the recipes, and I’m just getting started watching. Love the S cookies! I’m going to watch your Biscotti cooking. Thank you!
I am so happy I found you on utube it warms my heart to watch you. I’m Italian and I’ve learned many recipes on my own to bake during Christmas. You just added a special one to my list!!! I already cherish the time you give to teach all of us. God bless you!!!
Oh, dear Gina...you are just like my Grandma from Napoli whom I never met...she left us before I was born...but my father tells me you and her were so much alike...grazie, bellissima Gina...God bless you and your family!!!! 💗💗💗

Such a cute lady, my mother in law was exactly the same making bread and cookies. Gina, your stories are so touching, makes me cry. God bless
You make the sign of the cross... my grandmom always said those words. God bless you Gina. You teach me and make me smile with fond memories.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your story. Stay safe.
