The sweet thing is, that she does this the way her mother taught her, and the way her grandmother taught her mother. Simply beautiful traditions handed down.....you are a joy!
Gina - God bless you, and the memory of your papa and mama. With your reminiscing and tears, you remind us that we never stop missing our parents - or any loved ones - once they have passed on. They are still with us every day. Love is forever.
Love this woman because she radiates and spreads love through her cooking. As for the people who give her thumbs down, I’m 100% sure, grandma Gina couldn’t care less about them. I can hear her say, “It’s ok, some people like my cooking, some don’t, it’s ok. This the way I do it, some other people do it another way.” Grandma Ginna is unable to get angry to anyone, no matter what. You keep cooking your amazing dishes, grandma Ginna. I wish I’d meet and kiss your hands!
I love the fact that Gina doesn't use the latest and greatest gadgets. She doesn't have a $400 KitchenAid stand mixer; she uses a hand mixer. She uses regular kitchen bowls instead of the hoity-toity bowls that cooks on The Food Network use. Gina is so down to earth that she makes me feel more comfortable about my own cooking imperfections. She cooks like my Mom and Grandmom used to cook. Now, I only ever watch Gina; I have ceased watching anything on The Food Network or cooking shows on PBS. For me, it's Gina all the way! I wish she could adopt me!
Everyone who loves to cook should have a Kitchen Aid mixer, and if family wrote to them they would most likely send her one. I laid mine away at the local department store; it must be 25 years old and no matter what new piece they make it will fit my mixer. That said, I have cooking utensils that are over 50+ years old; I toss them in the Salvation Army/Goodwill box then go to the garage and dig them out again. No offense meant.
I agree with Ms Giansante. I adore her and her cooking. So Earthy and comfy. And no fancy gadgets. I only worry about her using her chef’s knife in a manner where she moves the blade “ toward “ her hand holding the onion. One slip, and she’s off to the ER. But she is confident and precise in how she cuts the onion. Please be careful, Dear Gina!❤️Marco Pellegrino
My own grandmother never had any fancy gadgets, most from that generation and back did not. Yet they cooked and survived, and the food tasted great, satisfied and nourished the body. Some modern gadgets are nice, but I could make it without them and still serve great meals. Gina cooks with love and that is hard to find today.
I just found these videos a few days ago and have watched several. In this one Gina says “Mangia Mangia”...And I got immediately teary-eyed as I thought of my own Italian grandma and how she used to say that as we would sit down to eat together at her table. All of these amazing recipes are ones that we have prepared for years in my own family. I so appreciate your videos...they bring back memories of my own dear Grandma who I know waits for me in heaven 💜
I was crying like a baby when Nonna Gina was describing her Father eating his favorite dish 💕 Such sweet memories. I bet she’s full of wonderful stories. All of these dishes look so healthy and yummy 😋 I wish I had a Grandma I could ask to make me Pasta Fazool, what a blessing 💕
Gina I just love your videos. I am a nurse working in Saudi Arabia. I am from New York. When you were talking about your parents I was crying. I miss my parents and think about them all the time ...
Im an Irish boy who grew up on an Italian block in Queens, NY. You remind me of all my friends' mothers. They taught my mom how to make all the Italian classics. How I miss those good old days.
Gina you say God bless at the end of some of your videos. I want to tell you a little secret, God blesses us when we get to see you cook, talk and sing. I find watching you relaxing and joyful. I think that is a blessing.Thank you. I pray that God blesses you and your family too.
To the family members (especially the grandchildren) my hope is they know what a treasure they still have on this earth with them ... i just found Ginas posts, and I'm 66 and reminds how i miss my parents when she talks about her parents. Im Sicilian and sad i never learned to speak much sicilian. Anyway i ramble . GINA MAKES ME HAPPY WATCHING HER COOK THE FOODS I DO. THANK YOU
This is what makes America great! Having immagrates from all over the world showing us their delicious food, recipes, traditions. Just wonderful. Thank you all. God bless
The bowl of soup that she prepared just for her father and the memory that Gina shared about her father touched me and brought tears to my eyes, . God Bless this lovely lady.
Signora Gina, I love your videos. I like your recipes but I love listening to stories about your family, your mamma, your papa, the way things were when you were a girl, your garden, keeping healthy and happy, moving and being busy! You are a blessing to me. Dear Heavenly Father, bless our Gina with a long, healthy, happy life!
My beautiful nona I cried with you remembering your papa.... I lost my papa may 20 2019 two days before my birthday..... and earlier today I was thinking about him while listening to music .... you are a treasure .... xoxo
How she lite up when she spoke about her father singing to her mother when she was a little girl. Brought tears to my eyes. God bless you Gina. Keep singing about your past. Heritage is a beautiful thing! 😘
You can see and feel the love she had for her father, they way she recalls the loving memories of her dad’s favorite dish🇮🇹❤️ Such precious stories! Thank you for sharing Gina 🙏🏻🇮🇹❤️ So much love and emotions... It’s ok to cry Gina, we love you. Speak his name and he lives again! ❤️
Awwww, her remembering her childhood and parents with the most heartfelt look and sound in her voice almost made me cry. 🤗 Thank you for sharing your family with us!
Bless your heart. When you spoke of your father and got emotional it made me cry. Its hard when we miss someone. Sending you much Love Gina, another wonderful recipe. 🙏🏻🌻💕
Dear Gina, I say this every video, but I LOVE you! I think, sometimes, I can smell the beautiful food cooking 💕 You are lovely human being, and a light in our lives. Please, never change a thing about how you teach us. Love and hugs to you, every day. 🥰
Dearest Gina, I made this today. My husband said it was the best he ever had. He did not even add pepper and said it was perfect the way it was. I did not have any home canned tomatoes, so I used canned crushed tomatoes. Thank you again for teaching me how to cook Italian food like a pro. Love to you all from North Carolina!
Hi Gina, my name is Lisa Giansanti. I am very proud of my Italian heritage. You are the most beautiful Italian lady I know. You bring back my memories of my grandmother and grandfather, family gatherings and most of all the incredible food we experienced, especially during the holidays and Sunday dinners. I enjoy listening to you and watching your " Old School " way of cooking and the enjoyment you get out of it. I can see the love in your heart ❤️ especially when you speak of your father and mother, singing a beautiful Italian song with precious tears streaming from your eyes. You make me cry. The love you share is amazing. I hope you continue on your awesome journey on this UA-cam channel. I look forward to seeing what the next Italian meal will be. I truly love you and whoever is video recording you, I think it's your son or grandson, tell him he's doing a great job. May God Bless you and yours as you bless me. All my Love 💓 Lisa.
I love Nonna. She is WONDERFUL and what a great Italian Chef. I am just a few years younger than Gina and love to cook, but even more I love to watch Gina cook. I smile and feel sooo good watching her cook, sing and enjoy her garden. GOd Bless you GINA! "See you next time"
Her memories of her childhood, home, and family are touching. I love her and her recipes. God bless her with good health and many more years with her adoring family.
I think most of us on here watching you would love to be a part of your family. You are such a treasure. God bless you, Gina and your wonderful family.
The beans, they a crrrack!! I can watch her all day. I was an Irish kid living on an Italian street. I used to knock on the doors for meatballs and snacks. I loved that neighborhood.
I love her story about her father. It really touched my heart. Hard working man comes home hungry takes unfinished bean soup, seasons it up and his own way, grabs some crusty stale bread and digs right in. Yeah I see how he managed to be happy, he was a practical man.
AMStationEngineer I think I'm going to start sharing her on Twitter. Boris Becker liked 3 of my comments during AO so hey, maybe people will c them lolol
At 23:35, "I was a little girl. I remember. He was a happy man." I was crying and laughing and singing with you. How beautiful it is to remember our beloved parents and grandparents, especially those memories from so long ago. A bowl of warm beans with garlic, oil, and bread... and a song of love to go with it. You have a beautiful soul, Grandma Gina. Thank you for telling that story.
Thank you Gina’s daughter, son in law and family for the gift 💝 of your beautiful mother, who is now Grama Gina to our planet! I feel her love and cook with a prayer always to the holy souls, her beloved parents and family. An Angel living in the midst of a broken world giving us love, hope, music, memories and a happy tummy! Love you, sweet Grama Gina ❤️🎶🙏🏻🦒
I love how she sings as she cooks, remembering her family, her sister's house in Toronto, the joy and love she shows when cooking makes all of her videos my favourite. God bless Nonna ! A real treasure, thank you for sharing
I cannot love Grandma Gina anymore than I do! She is the real deal. The way she talks, what she says, the hand motions, the stories... reminds me so much of my grandma - who did not have an Italian accent- BUT besides that was everything the same as Gina when she cooked. Thank you for sharing the love.
Nonna Gina, you brought tears to my eyes. Your beautiful story about your Mom & Dad. What a great lovely memory. Thanks for the great video & another wonderful recipe.
This made me cry, she tells her memories with so much joy, and cooks with so much love, her food must taste amazing! God bless her, I love her so much. ❤️🙏
Gina is the best! She made me feel better. I live in NY and the Italians here pronounce it Pasta Fazule. Today, while I was with my client, her daughter took out a container from the freezer for her mother to eat and it said Pasta Fagioli. I told my client, your daughter took out some Pasta Fagioli for you for dinner. I pronounced it like Gina did and I was quickly reprimanded... Pasta Fazule!! Now I hear a REAL ITALIAN SAY IT CORRECTLY so guess what? I am saying it the way Gina says it! HAHAHA! I can't wait to play this video for her! 😜 It is so nice to see Gina reminisce about her poppa and momma. She made me cry! Thank you Gina! Looks delicious and the way you teach, is heartwarming. You are a blessing to your family! ❤️
Could feel the love you have for your father as you prepared the beans the way he liked them with bread and wine. What beautiful memories of him singing to your mother. I hear and feel this so strongly. I think of our Heavenly Father and how much He loves us. ❤️ Thank you
Ti voglio bene nonna. I see how you became overwhelmed with emotion over memories of your papa. I too miss my papa, I feel my heart break into pieces I love him so much. Thank you for your wonderful recipes and for sharing them with us
You're such a wonderful person your family must adore you! I would be in your kitchen every day. How priceless those memories 😥😫 but how happy it makes my heart to have shared your fond memories of your mom & dad💕
God bless you, Gina. I enjoy watching your videos. Today, I cried when you remembered your Dad and Mom. It sounds like they were wonderful parents. Thank you so much. I hope to make this beautiful soup soon.
Gina I love your videos. It’s like sitting in the kitchen with my grandmother, which I didn’t get to do very much. She was from Italy, in Campania, not far from Faeta. Thank you for sharing your cooking, your culture, your stories, your songs and your prayers.
What a treasure she is. Thank you and bless you all for sharing her and the recipes. My own grandma has been gone many years now but her memory is clear. I really miss her.
I just love you. You remind me of my mother so much. I cant help but smile and cry. Keep cooking and keep sharing all the beautiful stories. I love listening and learning.
How lucky we are to have your cuisine on You Tube. I encourage other viewers to share your videos with friends and family as a gift of love. I return to you again and again.
Three recipes in one show! Thank you Gina, and God Bless your father in heaven. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was crying after hearing that story. Love to watch your videos! ❤️🤗
Ahh finally the real recipe for pasta fagioli. Like my grandma used to make. The restaurants can gets this right. Thanks for reminding me of my grandma. Watching you makes me miss her so much, but it also makes me smile through tears remembering. You look and sound just like her. Thank you, and thank you for sharing your recipes with us.
So much history and love in these recipes. Your father's been soup brought me right back to my own childhood. We are, primarily, Scandinavian--not an Italian anywhere in our family tree--and one of my father's favorite dishes was white bean soup with butter, and three slices of bread! I had not thought of it for many years. Such a happy memory. Thank you, for that. Sending lots of love from Vermont. ❤❤❤❤❤
I freakin' love this lady. She is a brave soul to go on tv to show the italian dishes with broken english. She is absolutely outstanding. Kudo's to you 💙
Gina’s emotion when remembering her dad was beautiful to see. She made a plate for him, in his memory. “He was a happy man.” And the song he sang, to Angelina my love. Such sweet memories.
Made this today and my husband and I loved it! Soooooooo good. I can't get over the flavor and no beef or chicken stock is used. Thank you!. I will make this again and serve my husband the beans a little olive oil and hot pepper flakes with homemade bread and a glass of wine in honor of you father, Gina. We too love you and your family stories and especially when you sing. I send big hugs and love to you and your family for sharing your wonderful dishes with all of us. I always say if you want Italian food that tastes good go directly to the Italians for the right way to make it. You have never let me down. My last name is Pasquini by marriage so I try to make food that lives up to the name. There are no family recipies passed down as my husband's mother was Irish. So you are my stand in mother in law. I am 71 yrs. old and I have many recipies to pass to my sons now. I have one son who makes his own Pasta and 2 who make woderful bread.
I love her. Beautiful lady. reminds me of my mother and how she talked about my Gram pa. My mother and father are from the old country Bari. Her ways are very similar to my mother and brought me to tears. Her mother has the same name as my daughter. I really enjoy her videos. She should make a cook book. I would pay to seat at table and eat her food and enjoy her stories and songs. My memories are uplifted! Thank You Gina and the crew she has behind her UA-cam production.
I love hearing and seeing you reminisce about your life and loved ones. I could feel your love for your father and it made me tear up. How I wish everyone could say their father was always happy and singing and took such joy in life's simple pleasures. God bless you 🌹❤😢🤗😘🥰
Gina, watching you cook reminds me of my wonderful Italian grandmother and it melts my heart. My grandmother spent most of her life cooking for us. I laugh out loud when you add salt, just like my grandmother 2 tablespoons is more like 4 tablespoons. She loved salt. God bless you and thank you for teaching us how to cook authentic Italian food, like my grandmother did.
The sweet thing is, that she does this the way her mother taught her, and the way her grandmother taught her mother. Simply beautiful traditions handed down.....you are a joy!
I love how happy Gina looks when she talks about her father!! This made me cry! I love all of your videos!! God Bless you Gina!
I agree .Shes such a sweet person besides her talent for cooking. She is such a stress buster for me.I just love ❤️ it when Gina sings.
You’re right-that’s her appeal, that’s her attraction! She’s authentic and real and really happy!
It made her emotional talking about her dad. So sweet.

Yes, I cried too when she talked about her father. She is so wonderful, I adore her. Her dad would be so proud of her! 💞💞💞💞

I truly believe some people just like to push button and make others feel bad, jerks.
@@mytedman1 maybe she does not want one.
But she has a really cool tap!!
My own grandmother never had any fancy gadgets, most from that generation and back did not. Yet they cooked and survived, and the food tasted great, satisfied and nourished the body. Who knew a cooking video could make me cry. Bless her sweet heart.
Gina I just love your videos. I am a nurse working in Saudi Arabia. I am from New York. When you were talking about your parents I was crying. I miss my parents and think about them all the time ...
I hope this family understands just how blessed they are to have this woman in their family. She brings comfort and warmth to all her videos. ❤
I am so happy her family is recording her...she is a positive and a wonderful personality..
Im an Irish boy who grew up on an Italian block in Queens, NY. You remind me of all my friends' mothers. They taught my mom how to make all the Italian classics. How I miss those good old days.
Every other block in Queens had a grandma cooking like this ! It was the best !
Gina you say God bless at the end of some of your videos. I want to tell you a little secret, God blesses us when we get to see you cook, talk and sing. I find watching you relaxing and joyful. I think that is a blessing.Thank you. I pray that God blesses you and your family too.
She's awesome
The story about your happy father, eating the cannelini soup with bread and wine....such a sweet memory for you to share Gina!
OK, I swear I'll pay $100 for a big bowl of that right now. I love this lady.
To the family members (especially the grandchildren) my hope is they know what a treasure they still have on this earth with them ... i just found Ginas posts, and I'm 66 and reminds how i miss my parents when she talks about her parents. I love how you tell us what to watch out for like the skin of the beans cracking signifies them being done. Great recipe as usual.
Dearest Gina, I made this today. My husband said it was the best he ever had. He did not even add pepper and said it was perfect the way it was. Mark say this recipe is no good🤬
Why not an English translation? Yes, her accent is real, but many can't understand her including me.
She should be on Food Network!!! She is so beautiful and genuine!!! Keep going Gina!!!

Gina I love your videos. It’s like sitting in the kitchen with my grandmother, which I didn’t get to do very much. She was from Italy, in Campania, not far from Faeta. Thank you for sharing your cooking, your culture, your stories, your songs and your prayers.
Your grandmother...One of Us !
What a treasure she is. Thank you and bless you all for sharing her and the recipes. My own grandma has been gone many years now but her memory is clear. I really miss her.

I weep with gratitude for your sharing of knowledge of family and food. It is basic. Thank you all
So much history and love in these recipes.
Seeing nonna Gina reminiscing about her Pa almost made me cry...
Ti amo nonna Gina!
Your memories about your family and your life in Italy are always so touching, you are such a warm hearted woman
Mrs Gina your just so wonderful to watch and listen to! God bless you too! 💕
God bless you and your parents. Im sure your PaPa and your Momma were wonderful people as evidence of how wonderful you are
She speaks so fondly of her father. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼Such a nice lady.
I love this woman she’s so cheerful and happy and she cooks beautiful food
I love hearing and seeing you reminisce about your life and loved ones. I could feel your love for your father and it made me tear up. How I wish everyone could say their father was always happy and singing and took such joy in life's simple pleasures. God bless you 🌹❤😢🤗😘🥰
What a beautiful story about your papa Grandma Gina!!!! 😭 it made me cry but of happiness, my dad is also a happy daddy!! Xoxo I love your video!!
Gina just lite up when she remembered her papa. So sweet
Love listening to your stories and watching you God Bless you Gina!
