    After reviewing this video and trying it myself. Finally got my brake light to work. Before it only worked for my rear brake. Thanks for the video!

    Thanks. Very helpful for fixing an intermittent switch on an 87 CBR 600. The solder to round up the contacts is a great idea.

    2013... Thank you sir! It worked! but I didn't need the soldering gun. I just cleaned the connections with sandpaper by hand. I had one problem with the switch because the pieces and the spring felled out, but I manage to res amble everything again. Liked and Subscribed!

    Solder won't last as long as new, but it will work. Keep an eye on it.
    If you have access to silver solder and enough heat (a jeweler's torch is perfect) you can restore it to as new condition.

    After freeing a sticky throttle and replacing brake lever my brake light stopped working on front. Did all this with switch and still doesn't work. Works on Back brake. What else can I check? Liked!

    What about if you think your break light is always on, i can hear the click using the back break but nothing happens but the front break does not have that click anymore so mmm?

    • @snope1779
      @snope1779 5 років тому

      if you order a whole new switch it would solve the problem other wise open it up and check the spring

      @@snope1779 Forgot I asked this. I had a new switch from honda and it was superclued tight so was best to order another that and I also found my back break switch had water corrosion so I cleaned that also, seems to be all working fine now :)

      Screwdriver to push the blade terminals out usually does the trick.

    how did you put the little box bit with the moving connector back together

    • @Mondaymotoring
      @Mondaymotoring  9 років тому

      Use the soldering gun and carefully melt the plastic back together. I show how at 4:20 in the video. 👍

    • @nicholaswood221

      i mean the little inner mettle box the switch

    • @Mondaymotoring
      @Mondaymotoring  9 років тому +1

      Did the switch fall out or the box come apart? My switch portion fell out and I had to look at it for a little bit to figure out how it went back together.

    • @nicholaswood221
      @nicholaswood221 9 років тому +1

      it flew into pieces
      how many spring/s are there meant to be i only have one

    • @Mondaymotoring
      @Mondaymotoring  9 років тому

      That stinks. I think there was only one. Someone commented that they found a replacement on eBay for $9. That may be a better option for you.

    Easy way is to get it cleaned with good quality electric cleaner
