    A good idea to prevent oil spilling on the exhaust pipes is to place some aluminium foil over the pipes before draining.

    This bike is way faster than any other 600 I have driven.I guess it may be because of the fuel injection or the power commander that’s on it.it also has a danmoto pipe that sound absolutely wonderful

    Hey “garage uk” great video!! I have a 2003 cbr 600 f4i and I would love those turn signals. I have flush mounts now that don’t do squat….those seem like a happy medium, sleek but safe. Can you tell me where you got them?

    I changed the oil on my Suzuki gs some years ago and after changing the filter I was bolting the filter cap back on (3 bolts) and as I tightened the last bolt all I heard was…..SNAP! 😭 The bolt had snapped clean in half, leaving some thread hanging out.. that was a learning curve.

    What size oil filter did you use? I have the K&N 204 I hope that’s the right one.I just bought this bike so I’m changing the oil even tho the seller said it was just changed.I don’t trust that so to make sure I’m going to change it with full synthetic

    • @TheGarage2018
      @TheGarage2018  2 роки тому +1

      If I remember correctly I used HiFlo HF204. K&N 204 fits as well.

      I don’t remember the brand but it was either Würth or TRW, them two are the only brands I use.

    Is the engine oil capacity 2.7 liters when replacing the Cbr600f4i engine oil filter?

    • @TheGarage2018
      @TheGarage2018  3 роки тому +2

      If I remember correctly the engine oil capacity is 3 litre out of which 0.3 litres is the oil filter capacity. If you replace the oil filter which I recommend you do replace on every oil change then you need 3 litres of oil.

    • @87loveland

      @@TheGarage2018 The vehicle is operating in South Korea. It is often known as 3.5 liters, but you can think of it as exactly 3 liters. Thank you. friend.♡

    What year cbr is that? I changed mine with 3.5 US qts of 10w40. But here's the part really confusing. I don't have the owner manual and I searched on the internet and most websites gave me 3.5 us qts of oil. Did I over fill my cbr? It's 2001 honda cbr f4i 600. Thank you

    Did you use full synthetic oil?

    • @TheGarage2018
      @TheGarage2018  2 роки тому +1

      Yes. 10W40 Fully synthetic.

    • @Mr1bigsexy

      Thank you.that’s what I’m going to use in mine.I’m wondering if I should use the valvoline racing oil cause we have some hot and humid summers down here in Tennessee

    • @TheGarage2018
      @TheGarage2018  2 роки тому

      Me personally I wouldn’t use racing oil unless you are racing the bike. I have tried using MOTUL 300V Racing oil and the oil consumption has increased significantly compared to normal full synthetic oil.

      On a hot day standing still at a red light I used to get 105 C and then the fan kicked in. When moving never got over 96 C.

    That oil is fully synthetic and not recommended for that bike, 5100 semi synthetic is the correct one. That sump plug has had a life of been bodged, i would have replaced it.
