About 8 years too late 😂 but still have a question for anyone. I have the same issue on my bike except it just takes a few seconds to finally start. It tries and tries and tries and sometimes I have to stop and try again but sometimes it kills the battery. I don't always have to give it gas but it seems to help sometimes. My question is what do you think it could be? My thoughts is either -starter -starter relay -fuel pump Only guess I have. Thanks again 👍 Ride safe 🤙
Thank you for the informative video. This helped me. I found that my HID ballast had blown which was the reason my bike wouldnt start. I switched it out and now im back on the road.
Thanks for the video, this helped me out a lot.. killed two birds with one stone .. my pump wasn’t priming , checked every single thing but didn’t work, the noticed I couldn’t start the bike just to figure out the switch was bad.. Played with the switch alittle, then the pump primed and the bike started up
I have a 2006 honda cbr 600rr. An I just ordered a starter solenoid hopefully it will start now.. an also have a brand new battery 3weeks ago..if it doesn't start after this what else do I need to look at?
Thanks for the video! Question for you I'd you get time. I've done all the steps and bike still won't start, I removed starter motor and attached positive and negative to it and it fired straight up but won't start the bike. Can the start be to weak to move the engine or is it likely something else?
Great video! One thing that confused me at first was when you were testing the starter relay. The video shows you had the wiring harness disconnected but doesn't show you re-connecting it. This made me question whether the wiring harness was to pass power from switch or to the starter. Also, the camera angle doesn't clearly show the actual removal of the power cable from the relay (I guess it can be inferred by your hand movements). But seeing the beefy relay terminals with my own eyes is what made it obvious that's what the starter is connected to.
Thanks for the video. So I started the bike by bipassing starter button and it did work. Does that mean i do have a problem with my button? Or wires i suppose. Thank you.

Another thing I thought about checking is the relay, I just can't figure out how to get the headlight relay out to check it. Is it just a pull out? Or is there like a clip holding it in? Very nice video. My immobilizer light keeps flashing when I turn the key. The bike had been recently exposed to water. Any ideas ? I will try and look at the fuse this weekend.
Sounds like an ignition situation. Double check the wires are good and tight. Blow out any moisture that may have gotten in there. With water, it could be anything electrical that got wet and is now shorting.
My honda 600 cbr rr 2004 just stopped while riding today. the oil lights stays on and the oil picture stays on. it cranks just wont start. just serviced a week ago
I bet the service manual for most bikes tells you how to test the internals of a starter too. Under electrical system / starter motor inspection. There should be continuity between armature segments. There should be no continuity between an armature segment and the shaft. Careful, because I measured some continuity that turned out to be my skin.

Yes of course! Battery gets charge. Starting bike and running, but bike now gets hot now too soon..
If it's running too lean you will have issues starting and it will get hot quick. Might be something to consider as well.
Yes of course. Seems like its not getting much water from the pump... Another fan would be nice too
You might not get to this comment but i have a 2007 cbr600 and there has been a charging issue, I put it on the charger so i could take it to the shop and none of the lights turned on. I found this video and pulled out the same fuse that you did but mine was perfectly fine.. I even replaced it with the other one and still nothing lighting up on my dash. The only thing coming up is the clock and that's only when the bike is off, it's not on when I turn the bike on. Thanks and get back to me if you can
A lil late, & u probably already resolved, but I had the same issue & it was a fuse. Had installed new LED turn signals & just needed to put in a stronger fuse cuz it kept blowing the fuses. Had to ride home with no speedo, etc. 1 day... good thing I was riding locally. Lol
@@bossylady80 your good, just saw your reply but yes I did resolve it, my stator went bad which I think is common in 2007 cbrs, I had to replace the stator, regulator, and the battery because the battery stopped holding a charge
Any tricks to help pull off the cover of the main fuse?? Mine seems to be very difficult..
I have a problem I turn on the my bike which is 1998 cbr 900rr all fluids and gas once I hit the start button just a clicking noise please help
I bet the service manual for most bikes tells you how to test the internals of a starter too. Under electrical system / starter motor inspection. There should be continuity between armature segments. There should be no continuity between an armature segment and the shaft. Careful, because I measured some continuity that turned out to be my skin.
I have a CBR600RR 2006, I replaced the starter relay but still no joy. If I jump the yellpw/red wire it cranks. What would be the next steep? Starter push bottom?
Could be the switch, or a bad wire.
I'm so amazed that I can't find not a single video of a 2007 cbr600rr....
Would this be the same.for a.08 cbr 1000rr? Relay issue with headlight. Turn on bike, it turns on but does not stay on...
so I have a question I cleaned out my starter and tested it and it moves pretty good even from my pretty low battery that I haven't used in a couple months and so after I put everything together I checked relay fuses they're fine but the bike was making a buzzing static noise from the relay every time I pressed the power button and so I charged my battery and I could actually hear the starter Turing over but its very slow and isn't enough to power on the bike do you think that the battery can't hold a charge anymore or something? or its something else?
Hello Aleksey. What you are describing sounds a lot like a dead battery. That is the first thing i would check.
Hey for a 03 cbr600rr
New battery in it. Intermittently slow cranking. Only once its warm. Slow crank and dies u can hear the starter go click click click really fast.
Well, just because it's new doesn't mean it's good. Do a load test on it.
Hi I have a f1 light on and fuel pump won't prime but I'll try it again a few hours later and works fine with no f1 light and fuel pum primes. Anyone know what's going on because I dont
I have an 09green and black 600rr! my bikie shut off on me at a stop light after getting gas, the bike did sit for about 2 months here in pa from november through december
Hi I'm having a problem with my cbr900rr 1999 the 10a fuse keeps blowing when pull off the odometer back break light horn go's out how do I locate the relays for that not sure but thinking that's the problem
My 08 cbr600rr is sputtering on low rpms 7k blow any reason why? I have no clue
Gracias #saltillo saludos ...salí del problema 😎
What tool did you use to complete the circuit?
What I used is an alligator clip and a metal T Pin
I have a 2004 Yamaha YZF 600 r my problem is when starting cold it turns over then like a metal crunch then its seizes and won't turn over. it takes a while and multiple start button pushes before it starts what can that be?
Issue I’m having with my 2013 CBR600RR is while I’m riding my light get dim, then my check engine light comes on along with my HESD light. Bike won’t cut off at that moment but then my gear shift gauge that was added will be flashing a L and flashing the gears. After that the bike will then cut off and oil light will come on. It starts back up in 2 mins or less but it’s a dangerous thing to keep happen
Test stator, rectifier and wires. Voltage drops will cause this to happen, it's just a matter of figuring out where the issue is. Electrical issues like this can be a real bear.
hi I checked everything as you did in the video. but I when I connect the positive terminal to the yellow red stripe wire the starter does not make any noise. what could it be? starter is bad?
thanks.
I have a 2006 cbr600rr and it all works in terms of turning on, riding, front headlights and high beams but the problem is that the indicators, horn and break lights don't work, it was working perfectly fine about 4 days ago but jst randomly stopped working today. Can anyone help on with this problem?? all the wiring have not been touched or anything it jst randomly stopped working.
thanks in advance!!
Can two different casein cause the 06 600rr to not starting back when its I've check all those that you told me about and am still getting that problem
Had a question , my 929 shut off and dash lights shut off simotaniously and blown a fuse , and keep blowing the 30 amp fuse , and 2ont start
Can you tell me plz? What should i know? Before buy a motor that someone use already. Plz tell me. Thank you.
That's a long conversation, Kim. Was there something specific you want to know?
@@PartzillaParts i just want to know a little point before buy motor. Can you tell me?
After a long winter iv decided to start it up.it turns over but it wouldn't start...I suspect the kill switch..my cbr is 2014..way to test the kill swirch?I heard the pump the first time I tried starting it..but then nothing..??!!??
you can test for spark. Otherwise it's almost always a fuel issue. Filter, lines, etc.
thanks so much you helped out a lot!!!!
Awesome! Glad to hear it, Aleksey. See you around the tube.
I bought a new battery it started no problem but after I turn it off i try turning it on again and it won't start unless I Jumpstart it even tho the battery is new
I having trouble on separating plug on the stater rely to check the fuse
I have a bike it's a 2003 Honda CBR 600 F4 and when you hit the starter button the bike will start but as soon as you let off the starter button the engine cuts out what could the problem be
Afraid I may need a new starter. Do you have a video for replacing one. I get a hum from my relay even after I replaced it.
It's on the list, but the video has not been done yet.
M.r john i have honda cbr 1000 rr 2007 i have a problem weth it is after 5 .6 Rpm go fast to the top Rpm but the bike not exsleritng
my 2008 honda cbr 1000rr does not start because no spark coming through. Where should I turn to fix that problem?
sorry to make a wierd comment, but what if when the bike is hot like when you stop for gas, and go to start and it cranks like the battery is dead? with all new charging system parts. but it only does that when its hot. cranks perfect after it sits a couple hours or is the first start up?
Test your Regulator Rectifier. It's a common problem on Hondas.
Partzilla ok. Thank you so much. Definitely will do. I just replaced them a few months ago tho. But if they are bad do they sell ones that are higher performing than oem?
Sadly, OEM are the most reliable. There are some Chinese knock offs out there, but they never work long.
Partzilla ok. Thanks alot! I'll get to work.
Hopefully someone replies. But my 2005 Honda cbr died on me while riding randomly. Wouldn’t turn on afterwards. What do you guys think could be the problem?
It could be a number of issues. Test to see if you are losing spark or fuel. That is the first step.
Help! I think both of my keys have been decoded.... Its a 2008 cbr 600 rr. When i turn the key the HISS light doesnt turn off and the fuelpump doesnt prime. I've heard its really rare that BOTH keys gets decoded... any thoughts on what it may be? Maybe the ECU is toast? balance-sensor? fuse?
quite possibly the ecu. Worth taking it to a shop to test the system
@@PartzillaParts thanks, yeh! Just got the call today confirming i need a new ECU... :)
Can anyone help me with my CBR600f pgm 2003 rev counter not working speedo works indicators work temperature works just not revving after installing gear indicator
I have a 2007 Honda cbr 600rr that all the fuses are good on but for some reason my fuel pump will not prime and bike cranks over but won’t actually start why is that ?
I have the same problem after a low slide crash at the track. The dash lights turn on, but I'm not hearing the fuel pump activate when I turn the key to power. Bike cranks but won't start.
I rode my 05 cbr 600 rr yesterday on the highway and then it started jerking then it shuts off and on. What do you think is wrong ?
To little info to really tell. Could be fuel or spark.
How did u manage to pull it out so easily
What is that tool he used to start the bike manually by inserting the metal tip into the wire?
It is called a jumper.
@@PartzillaParts what was the other side connected to?? The positive terminal?
Also could you link it or give the part number? When I look up jumper or jumper needle I just get regular jumper cables for motorcycles.
i have honda cbr150 r india version ,i used this bike last 2 years but now battery is not working now recently i installed new battery but after five day of useing this battery it is not charging and down ,what should i do now pls tell me
Get a new battery, make sure it's full of distilled water, fully charge it, then try again.
I have a CBR F3 95 and is blowing fuses replace the fuel and carburetor fuses and the one up under the seat where the relay when I replace the fuse it will crank up and run for a while but it will blow again and for some reason my start switch won't work so I replaced it now I'll see when I press the start button the lights will dim but it won't trigger that starter
Check your wiring from ignition and switch, you likely have a short somewhere.
I have a 04 Honda cbr f4i and i have replaced the battery as well as the fuel pump and relays I have also replaced the ignition key the original key just turns on the fan , no fuel prime , still cranks over but no start the new key no fan when turned on no fuel prime and cranks but no start do you have any idea I have checked everything the bank angle sensor kickstand sensor you name it they all check out fine but for some reason I cant get the fuel to prime please help thanks
Did you check the harness between all those components? That sounds like best case scenario. Worst case, ECM? Check everything you can before you jump to ECM.
Johnny Trillberg, and Partzilla, I have a 2006 cbr1000rr same problem as Johnny I'll be checking all this, Johnny did you fix yours or find the problem, and is anyone aware of any recalls on this more than common issue, my. ike dose not have a diode, maybe Partzilla could do a video on this issue seeing as how it's so common
My fuel pump relay under my seat is making a teaser sounds like. Ive test the charging system my stator look ok but my bike randomly dies on me. My baterry is new and spark plug replace. What else do i look for issue on my bike? I only heard it once now its working normal again im still cant ride it since its acting up.
Test the regulator rectifier first, just to cover the charging system.
Would a low power for battery cause the fuel pump not to prime when engine cut off switch is flicked on and off. The ignition cranks up and the relay clicks just no prime
If it's dead. It doesn't require much to prime the pump.
I have the same problem relay click, ignition work and kill switch work and pomp no prime did you resolve the problem in your bike?
There is no OBDII on 2008 model?
Hey my bike is have the same problem not starting it make a click sound but it would just now start can u help me out
Check battery, wires, solenoid...
What indicates bad spark plugs? Thx.
They don't spark.
I was riding and the bike hesitated then had no power, When U pulled over it would start fine but when I put it in gear and gave it gas it would die, then it would not turn over. After towing it home the fuel pump primes and the engine turns over but it does not start. could it be a bad battery?
It's more likely the rectifier. Try testing it and see what it looks like.
Motorum honda cbr 600 rr. F1 arızası var ne yapmalıyım
I need the starter relay but can’t find it on website
I've checked everything you have done and all the checks have came back good. But the bike just keeps turning over and won't start. Any ideas?
If all the electrical checks out and you're getting spark. It has to be fuel. Does your fuel pump prime when you turn it on?
Partzilla thanks for the reply. And yes pump is priming. I actually got it started today after I took off the air filter top. I tried starting it like that and it turned on right away, sounds off so maybe a tune up.
can anyone please help. I read the Voltage on the battery while press start button, it's 7.3V. then, I connect the multimeter to the starter it reads 5.2. Do I check all the ground cables from starter to the battery?
Hello Do it Diep. How many volts are you getting without pressing the start button?
Partzilla it was 12.6V
What you are describing to me would tell me that you need to replace your battery.
I start my motorcycle and it burns a fuse, could you help me with that?
