    Just found your channel.
    This is fantastic information!
I'm a lifelong learner and this is absolutely perfect for me. I love details!
A new website and I learned a new term - "solunar."
I've used the moon phases (Farmers' Almanac) in relation to fishing and hunting since the 1980s but I had never heard the term "solunar" mentioned.
Solunar Theory - John Alden Knight - 1926. According to at least one source, he was an avid Florida fisherman. The theory is based on the idea that the sun and moon's gravitational forces create tides, which in turn affect fish behavior. He may have given it a technical name but in reality, it's been used for centuries.
    This is great material!
Thank you for doing this! I appreciate it.

@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 Yes sir... truth seeker, for sure. :) I enjoy scratching for information.
I've been hammering away at this for decades (MT., ND, SD, NE. IA., and more) just not the Cali Delta.
I'm in Cali a lot so that's next on the list; I want to learn that Delta and catch some big Largemouth.
I've even thought about getting a local place there but that might take a couple more years... or, just across the border at Reno or Carson City or something.
If I have any questions, I'll post them. You can be my UA-cam Delta guide. :)
      Again, thank you.

Steve - One of your best videos! Could you do a video in which you expand on the “targets” aspect of your “three T’s” specifically for summer? It would be great to hear your thoughts on the effects of shade, wind, water clarity, clouds, etc. Keep up the good work!

    Great explanation Steve…
?: do you fish your lure (reaction type) reeling it upstream against the current or do you reel it downstream with the current? Knowing that fish typically face the water that is moving into their face… or is the answer yes to both?
    Thanks ,
    Nick

Thats a question that I really can't answer. Too many variables like wind and bait type. I guess I would say I play that one by ear.

Great point you don’t have to run and gun all the time. Do you log all the variables when you catch them?

Hey Steve, last year in mid October while I was shooting my video I caught some fish up super shallow on the last hour of the outgoing tide. I assumed the fish had moved out to the outside weedlines and points but some fish decided to stay up there. The only thing I can come up with is maybe the bass were waiting for the crayfish to move out from the exposed rocks into deeper waters so the bass can ambush them. I was baffled but no complaints haha. Eventually the bass had transitioned to deeper waters during slack low tide. Do you think it’s because of the fall season that’s why some bass stay up shallow to feed regardless of tides or I just got lucky?

If the chow is available and easy to get, bass wiil do anything. Thats why we sometimes have those great days when the fish get stupid.

QUESTION: Is it correct to say, high/rising tide = fish against the bank & low/falling tide = fish away from the bank ??
