Just thought I let everyone know that I sent out my ECU to bauerperformance. Sent mine through FedEx which took about a week, but when he received it turn around time a was way less then that. Just finished the install today, ran the truck all morning with stop/go and parked idling. Truck felt very good and never over heated, I did in fact run a separate relay for the ac then adding to the pcm. Worked out great, price was what he said. Thanks Endless Wishlist
I’m playing your videos on the tv and phone, trying to do what I can to help with the views. Really appreciate how much info and step by step you record, good for me cause I just have to “rewind” and bam get the work done! Definitely going to be doing this soon. Thank you!
👊thanks for this content. Im planning on upgrading my 03 cateye to this. Just want to make sure. So once i do this upgrade i also have to take it to have a shop tune it?
All videos out there said that the green wire goes into Blue 42 and the blue wire goes into Green/Red 33 hmmm cause that way the low speed fans are the ones that enter first stage and then the second stage enters when is hotter
The wires on the computer are reversed, the green is low speed (both fans) go to pin 42 on the blue connector and the blue wire goes to the red connector on pin 33
On 15:53 you connected the wire to 33, did this in fact work for you. I thought you had to run a relay to that wire and back to the ac wire to change the positive feed to a negative feed.
@@EndlessWishlist ok, I only ask cause I found this on gmfullsize.com and figured that's what you were gonna do. Here is the link: www.gmfullsize.com/threads/i-installed-2006-e-fans-on-my-2001.229730/
@@EndlessWishlist What's up man, I am about to attempt this on my 2000 Silverado using an OEM harness....my PCM is being tuned by Bauer so thanks for the plug. So do I run my green pin to Red # 33 OR do I splice into the loom near the junction box and look for a green/white wire? I'm totally confused about this green wire and where to put it. My AC works and I want to keep it that way. THANKS IN ADVANCE
I put the second pin in red 33 but I don’t know if it actually works. If you do the ac wire you need to add another relay to switch the ac signal from a positive signal to a ground signal.
I thought you gotta take it to the shop to get it programmed to work I'm asking every video I seen Do everything you do but gotta get the ECU to kick on the fans
Hey man I’ve been having a problem with me 06 Silverado 5.3 the voltage meter on my gauge will sit a little above 14 volts but if I’m driving it’ll go between 9 and 14 it’s never done that till here recently I was wondering if know what could be causing it thank you
Endless Wishlist okay didn’t think about that, thanks for responding so quick, you’ve made me do a lot of upgrades to my truck been thinking about doing the coil over conversion and deleting the torsion keys hopefully it’ll make the ride a little better with my 6 inch lift
I didn’t take any of that. Just opened the loom and took the couple wires I needed. I only had to cut the ground. So I just had to put a new ring terminal on
@@EndlessWishlist 10/4 thanks man that what I'm doing at the moment is tracing the wires from fans and removing them from.the old harness. Are the pins for the ecu in the fan harness?
Just wanted to comment that you wired the pins in the wrong way. That is why you only had one on high. These fans aren’t designed to run this way. The green wire is the low speed, blue is high speed. Green wire goes to Blue 42 and the green goes to red/green 33. Nelson performance has them the other way. If you had it wired the other way, both lows should come on.
No problem. Just wanted to leave a comment in case others are having this problem. Not sure what year yours is, but the factory 05-06 harness is the way to go. There’s also a way to have the pcm control the fans using a/c pressures as well, even for the 99-02. My 2000 yukonxl with the 6.0 and my brothers 2001 XL with the 8.1 both have the efans and fans cycle with temps and the a/c. You need to add a a/c sensor instead of the switch, but well worth it in my opinion. BP performance has a kit, but I just pull junkyard harness .
SO WHEN YOU INSTALL FACTORY PARTS IS NOT NECESSARY PROGRAMMING THE COMPUTER TO LET IT NOW TO THE TRUCK WHEN THEY HAVE TO TURN ON AND OFF AND LOW SPEED AND HIGH SPEED 🤔 ????

Man Thanks for making these LS videos forreal Ive learned more from u then anyone on youtube. Keep making great content !!.💯💯
My 06 1500 came with a 160a and I upgraded to a mechman 370a elite. I hold 15v with my headlights on, even with my TRUE 5k watt stereo system

This video was exactly what i needed man is there any way to have the fan tuned without sending the pcm cus its my daily
Great video have the harness and fans for over a year now, just been to lazy to send the ecm to get tuned. Wil need to do this soon
Just get a local guy that has HP tuners to do it for you.
Did the second fan turn on with the A/C or did you have add a relay for it to turn when a/c is turned on?
Will this help with AC temperature at idle?
Can you show a review on the tuner
If I tow a camper and a boat often would this be a good upgrade to free up some power or would the mechanical fan be better for towing?
I couldn’t say to be honest. I haven’t had a cooling issue but I don’t really tow with my 6.0
Excelente trabajo , Excelente mecánico !!!! ... Saludos desde Costa Rica ,🇨🇷🤝🇺🇸
Does your blend door still work after you disconnected the wire?
Yes
Can someone tell me is the pulley pressed or a fixed style on the water pump
What fans are those from? I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 and I’m tired of the clutch fan.
2005 /2006...i believe with 34inch radiator core
DOES THE RECICULATION DOOR STILL WORK AFTER YOU REMOVE THAT WIRE FROM PIN 33 ON RED CONNECTOR?
Francisco Garcia yes, stay the same
What year did you get the fans out of and harness? Trying to figure out what to look for at the junkyard so I could do the same thing.
2005 or 2006 Silverado
@@EndlessWishlist thank you man I appreciate it.
Mine has the 105 alternator it works great always at 13.8 volts I just upgraded the wires for the alternator to battery and such
What fan model is this ?
Devo I used a ls1 fan off of a corvette
Tint game strong looks killer man, awesome video
I got a 04 tahoe 5.3 4x4, what program do I need in order to tune it??
Look at you Mr Electrical, Nicely done Sir!
more overheating problems with electric fans, vs clutch fan operation?
Zero overheating problems
thank you for being so thorough!
All videos out there said that the green wire goes into Blue 42 and the blue wire goes into Green/Red 33 hmmm cause that way the low speed fans are the ones that enter first stage and then the second stage enters when is hotter
So these turned on without any programming or tuning?
I got a 04 yukon and would like to get these goin
No it defined a to be tuned. I said that towards the end. The computer has the capability but needs to be activated
The wires on the computer are reversed, the green is low speed (both fans) go to pin 42 on the blue connector and the blue wire goes to the red connector on pin 33
Idk what was more helpful. The fan install or knowing not to put my finger in front of the camera 😂
Did you had to upgrade the alternator and how many amps
It has the 135 or 145 amp alternator. No issues yet
@@EndlessWishlist did you do any adjustments to the tuning with a/c compressor on at iddle or the fans come on with engine temperature 🌡️
I’m not sure. I just told Bauer performance to turn the fans on
Where did you get the wiring harness?
Wrecking yard

That’s a good question. I’ll have to ask my tuner.

Hard to say. Your voltage regulator might be crapping out.

It is a 2001

Yes
What is the name of the program in the phone ؟ plz
Great video!!
My friend where I can get those pcm pins
I got mine off eBay
Did you notice any increase in MPG?
Great job 👍
You grab the whole factory harness and delete what is not needed?
No. The fan harness is separate from the engine harness.
