Some members of Classics IV went on to form Atlanta Rhythm Section. They also did this song with better guitar solos including a harmonizing dual guitar solo. You should also check that version out. Also check out "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover" by ARS.
That intro that you speak of is used in the Classic IV's other hits-Traces, Stormy and Everyday With You Girl. Also members of this group went on to form the Atlanta Rhythm section and did a remake of Spooky which also became a hit. This is one of those songs that put you back in the fall with the colored psychedelic leaves (or trees on acid) and cool temperatures.
Thank you, Debbie and Saeed: This song is good and fun. I hope Debbie can talk you into playing my all time favourite pop song, Traces by The Classics IV. Stormy is great too.
I enjoy introducing you to the oldies..we had such great hits by great artists, and I'm so happy you appreciate these great tunes. Thank you, my friend❤
I was an early teen listening to this stuff on my transister radio (I know right ) but these guys and many more were the reason I went on to appreciate the great music and various genres ,much later in life....the 60's were great man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You NEED to hear their later version when the reformed as Atlanta Rhythm Section. It has some amazing guitar solos in it and an updated sound, while retaining all the earlier mystery and swagger.
This was one of my favorite songs from this era, but I had forgotten all about it. I wasn’t even sure I recognize the name of the song, I had to click to check it out and it turns out I do know it, lol. Thanks for the reminder!😊
Two members, giatarist and keyboardist, later formed with their producer to form Atlanta Rhythm Section. They also did a version of Spooky which IMHO was better.
Nice reaction. Some of these members went on to form The Atlanta Rhythm Section in the 70s and had a few decent hits. But my favorite was a rerecording of this classic. It's AWESOME!
Here are two great songs that are among the best with sax inclusions: Clarence Clemons on Bruce Sprinsteen’s Jungleland; Traffic’s The Low Spark of High-heeled Boys
@@SaeedReacts. I could give a list longer than your limousine but here are two good ones. California Sun by The Rivieras and Time Won't Let Me by The Outsiders.
"Traces" -- not only exceptional musically, but amazingly poetic storytelling of love lost.
and Stormy!

My favourite is, 'Neon Nights' and Do It Or Die is good too.
Great soft rock band from the 60's. Their biggest hits were "Spooky", "Stormy" & "Traces".
"Everyday With You Girl" and "Midnight" are really good as well.
If you can, please also do the song, Stormy also by Classics lV.
Oh I loved this song!! Screams the 60's with the suits and the hair! Groovy for sure!!

What a great song. Definitely want to explore more music of this group.

"Stormy" is one you should listen to next! Great music and great channel!
There's something special about 'All of a sudden that old rain's falling down' that is captivating for me.
I was driving home from shopping .this song was playing on SiriusXM 60's gold. What a cooool Co-inkidink.
You probably recognize the beginning of this song because they have a lot of commercials with the beginning of this song playing..

So Stormy next!!
Thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks, Debbie! Great one!
Classic Rock is just so good due to the musicians. Love the sax and the focus on talent.
Listen to Spooky recorded by Atlantic Rhythm Section. It is great too.

This is a great song, but for me, the cover of this by Dusty Springfield is the ultimate.....so sensual!!

Dusty Springfield did a great version of this song. Time to check her out - so many great songs!
Stormy next please!!!
Stormy and Traces are equally as good!
No vulgarity
