To me, Boston's sound is right in the breadbasket of rock. They deliver. Great voice, guitars, drums, keyboard and solid composition of tunes. I wouldn't rate this as the #1 song for Boston, but it's one of their greatest hits. A song for summer memories, driving, working out, etc. "Oh, the sun is shinin' and I'm on that road ..." I'd say some of the best of Boston would be "Foreplay / Long Time" (two songs that merge), and "More Than A Feeling." You can't skip those.
I can just hear the presenter now: AND on the drums, give it up for Sib "Hoochie Daddy" Hashian! I have managed to watch quite some reactions from you by now already, and Lulus creative mind continues to throw me off into laughter. This song is one of those i dont really remember, until i hear the chorus. I think i sometimes i confuse myself with all the different "city named bands" that were popular back then. But i always reminds myself after awhile that Boston is basically "More Then A Feeling",a song i know all too well. Great vocalist, and great instrumentalists in this band!
The classics keep coming on your channel! :) Boston was the very first rock concert I ever attended (in 1987, as a young teenager). Their first album was a mega-success, and I played it to death when I was very little on our record player. When the song "Don't Look Back" (from their second album) came out, I fell in love with it instantly and the six-year old me begged my mom to buy me the second album at a Woolco's store. :D To this day, 45 years later, it still makes me smile--just joyful-sounding and uplifting. I like how the song goes from that darker minor chord section ("I finally see the dawn arriving...") to get back to the lighter section.
This album was recorded in Tom Scholz(the man in the white jumpsuit) basement, with him playing all instruments, and just Brad Delp doing all the vocals. The drummer is Sib Hashian. RIP Brad and Sib....
Saw them in concert at the Sun Dome in Tampa, FL. in 1995. What a crowd! While waiting for the concert to start, we saw a man with greying hair in his' 50's walk in, wearing a Tux. His date was a stunning blonde in a light blue floor length evening gown with a tiara, diamond earrings/necklace and white elbow length gloves. 10 feet behind them, in walked a woman in her 30's wearing a black bustier, leather short shorts, fishnet stockings, thigh-high boots and black leather gloves. In her hand was a silver chained dog leash. This leash was attach to the collar of the man she was leading in. He was wearing black combat boots, black leather pants, a black leather vest (no shirt), spiked leather dog collar and a full head black leather mask with only breathing holes! I told my friends "This Concert just went to the next level"!! The concert was awesome!
Perhaps someone else has stated, but Boston were only really a band when live. In the studio it was essentially just guitarist Tom Schultz (the clean-shaven one). He wrote EVERYTHING and played most (sometimes all) the instruments for ‘their’ albums. Thankfully they were all solid musicians individually and Tom wouldn’t have had it any other way. He was a studio perfectionist. It’s the main reason it was EIGHT years between their second album (at the height of their success even) and their third! Also, let Lulu know that men’s everyday, average shorts in the 1970s and 80s were really short. Haha! That’s just the way it was. 😁
'Feelin' Satisfied ' would be a great addition! I'm a 53 year old man, and this was the fun time in life for me when I heard this song when I was 8 years old on my sister's turntable...she was 8 years older than me but I played it more than she ever did....thanks for making me laugh today🌟
Boston is prenominal !!!! Give their debut album a listen. It's one of the biggest selling albums in music history. This version is an edited ( a shorter ) version of the song.
There is a song out there just for Lulu , called Hoochie Coochie Man . Written by bluesman Willie Dixon . The best cover of it that I have found is on Steppenwolf 's debut album from 1968 .
Drummer's name is Sib. When you play like that you can wear anything you want. He just passed away a few months back playing his drums. The Rock is married to his daughter
Rare that first reaction to Boston is not a song from their first album which is all hits. "A Man I'll Never Be" is one of my favorite songs (and is also on their 2nd album). Check out "Hitch A Ride" and "More Than A Feeling". Also, "Amanda" & "My Destination" from "Third Stage" album.
you may be hippies when your lead singer comes out with that hair and a tamborine, while your drummer's afro is gigantic, boston was the essence of the 70's, incredible live with a killer light and lazer show glad you enjoyed it
You gals are just great! Love watching your reactions. And yes you've certainly been seeing all the best rock! Speaking of gen Z, The Warning has a song referencing gen Z it's called Z.
Hi, question / remark: If you like Floor (Nightwish) and Simone (Epica) Than I have something for you ! Check Ayreon !!! Begin with: Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017) song / composition 13min (sort) with 11 main singers also Floor and Simone ! After that Check Ayreon - Everybody Dies (Ayreon Universe) LIVE also with Floor ! I'm very, very, very sure you will like and love it ! And there much form Ayreon. It's Prog/ metal / rock of the highest level. all songs are a story line. So when you dive in not the order of the song ! If you want to see and hear the composer / creator, Arjen Anthony Lucassen then check the song: Ayreon - Garden of Emotions (Electric Castle Live And Other Tales) LIVE ! The first singer is Arjen ! If you want to see Marko (from Nigtwish) Check Ayreon River of time (Universe) must be some familiar names....
Boston first album was bangers from the first to the last song on it. You should try More Then a Feeling and Rock and Roll Band. As always great job, keep plugging away and keep up on your journey.
You're having audio problems it seems to be fine during the music, but yalls voices are constantly being cut off and we can't hear You. Best of luck fixing it.

The smile on lulu’s face says it all
Fore play/Long Time a must to listen to. Seen them bring the Super Dome down with it in 1978

One of a kind, distinctive sound from that guitar. Cannot be confused with any other.
Great song and reaction

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The song More than a Feeling is Boston's best but there are many others including this one that are great songs.

On a side note...... The drummer was Sib Hashian and he was The rock's father in law ✌️R.I.P. Mr Hashian
Another Great Pick !
You should listen to their "'More Than A Feeling' & 'Amanda'."

There's also "Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo" by Rick Derringer.
We will put that on the list.
Aww...the good old days....Love it!

Great choice for a song to review
a good band of rock👍👍
03:19 Thank you very much young lady, this is the proper reaction when someone stops that one from playing...loud....
This song came out over 40 years ago, and you're surprised Lou Lou has never heard it before?
Saw them at the Texas jam Dallas cotton bowl. 1978. They didn't tour much because of there instruments. No place to plug into
Now that's a moustache !
Boston first album was bangers from the first to the last song on it. You should try More Then a Feeling and Rock and Roll Band.
As always great job, keep plugging away and keep up on your journey.
@ DWAYNE. HUTCHINSON. KATHY. I. LOVE. YOUR. LAUGH. AND. EYES. AND. FACE. AND. SMILE
following from Angelina. The band's music was good, Stage presence was good. Wanted more vocals.
I don't know if this is truly live. I love them anyway.
You're having audio problems it seems to be fine during the music, but yalls voices are constantly being cut off and we can't hear You.
Best of luck fixing it.
Great video as always ladies. Would love to see a reaction to New Kids on the Block "Step by Step" music video
I sure hope you guys get your microphones fixed.
We did there much better in the newer videos.
Kathy you are so cute.
Just saying.
The Wizard by Uriah Heep
💯👍❤️
Boston first album & Don't Look Back there's not a song I don't like. Look up their History.❤
That version was cut short. 🤷🏻♂️
Uriah Heep
It's too bad you guys didn't react to the audio only version. Videos back then sucked and this one cut at least 45 secs to a minute,
Sucks they chopped a couple minutes out of the song.
@ DWAYNE. CARL. HUTCHINSON. KATHY. I. LOVE. YOUR. TIE. - DYE. SHIRT. !
If you want to see another shorts-wearing drummer, there's Danny Carey of Tool. Bare-chested drummer? Steve Judd of Karnivool. 🩳 🥁
