Flash games: I want to break free.... I want to break free
As silly as it sounds, a lot of my childhood memories came from Flash games. When Flash stopped being supported, it was like watching an era of my life come to an end, one that I can't relive.
Man this comment makes me really sad. I miss it
I feel that….
Don't worry pal there are workarounds like Bluemaxima's Flashpoint
@@hellomine2849 I'm definitely going to have to look that up. I hope there's a way to download these games and not just access them, sites have already taken down a LOT of those games...
@@theonlyethanhiroshiki I totally feel you, it really does have that impact on anyone who's used it, since it's nostalgic. I started playing Flash games when I was a little younger than you are now. I'm 26 now...

Flash isn’t completely gone, there’s still BlueMaxima’s flashpoint which is a flash game conservation project
Exactly, but there's a problem with that. Some games (Especially from Nitrome) aren't playable in the Flash Player Application because they were only meant to be played in a browser.
Yeah, I was very disappointed when I experienced that for the first time. Seems like some games are really gone forever, doesn't matter if we want to accept it or not.
@@Lonelytaliban_158 Flashpoint will open games with the version of flash that they're known to work. Also I think a virtual machine should be enough but yeah that's a more techy sollution.

I think newgrounds has the newgrounds Launcher where you can still play
The 2000s will be a rare decade of murdered animals and magical orphans, but flash games are nostalgic for a whole generation, and despite being cheap, they are not without that magic that existed.

Bruh I actually did this exact thing in High School when I didn’t need to listen to or work on anything in class. I always loved playing Johnny Upgrade or Impossible Game on CoolMathGames, or Earn to Die and Age of War 2 on Unblocked Sites.
Johnny Upgrade is a classic. Still can be played on cool math tho
What happened to your grades?
Age of war is an all time classic. That game was fire status
@@OneSaltyBruh I actually did very well in school. I got As in most of my classes.
@@papouligaming9594 wow, truly an engineer.
Flash games is like a heaven, you know almost everyone play them during class and it sure was fun as heck playing with your friends
i dont play at class but i play them on my mom's laptop when i was around 4 to 6 yo and then sometimes play it at internet cafes (asian internet cafes sucks ass, most of online games are cash grab/pay2win, also steam didnt exist because asian game market monopoly)
For me, the classic FRIV and Not Doppler will always be in our hearts no matter what. The modern format is okay, but it doesn't feel the same.
Newgrounds, Kongregate, and Armor Games are the horsemen of Flash games.

The games survive through projects like BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint.
Use an older browser. Is Gen Z really this computer illiterate?
Same here Commrade. You're not the only one. I actually grew up With SSF2 and Mario flash Games! Good thing SSF2 is now Available for download to preserve the slavic legacy!
The good old days of popping bloons and hunting achievements on kongregate.

Except NOT REALLY!!! Flash is now reanimated with stuff like emulators! (Flashpoint or Ruffle) And on old browsers, Flash is still available.

My favorite flash games will forever be Fancy Pants, Disco Jungle, and whatever the hell Nitrome did.
mine are monster truck, flakboy, bombing the bridge, bomberman, madness combat (and most of flash games i play are racing games)
@chongle the nitrome games I played the most where the ones of the ice climber girl, toxic, the balloon guy, the carnivorous plant, the cat angels game, and the slime blue guy with an armor.
They are truly fantastic, I want to play bomb chicken since that's a game on steam I want to know how amazing can be.
Papa's games, Duck life, and Jacksmith, god those were great games
Fancy pants has no reason to slap as hard as it does given it is a flash game
@@cypher838 same for Dad n Me, precursor for Castle Crashers, recently I replayed the game and holy fck is it short but super satisfying. It's extremely underrated gem.

everyone is talking about the nostalgia they're getting, but am I the only one who's stomach d r o p p e d when the teacher caught him? like damn
Same here man. That experience does not and never will feel great.
Same, like that scared the shit out of me funny as it sounds.
this happened to me once
it was just as bad as in the video
Flash was disabled after that.
Feeling the teachers hand on your shoulder, or even just their general presence behind you while playing games on your laptop is a feeling of panic only comparable to being stabbed in the chest several times
Here's your reminder that even if Flash is discontinued, there are still alternatives keeping it alive in spirit, like Ruffle and Flashpoint for example.
I didn’t realize it back then but flash games on the computer after getting home from a terrible day of school were some of the best days.
I would always play Run 2, and Fire Boy and Water Girl on my computer
*that is until my school finally blocked CoolMathGames*
My favorite flash games:
-strike force heroes
-raze
-papa pizzeria
-happy wheel
-sand castle
-zombie train
-and more
Man...even im growing to adult phase right now, i still want to play those games again.
Playing the papas games was such a delight,in fact the games of flipine studios were great like jackssmith and cactucs mccoy, the mario flash mario games were MEMORABLE,and i loveeee the miniclip website
Such a shame android and apple never suported flash.
my favourite papas game was the pie one. was somehow good at it. averaged 3 years in that game
It's a shame Miniclip is kinda dead now
Flash Museum still has almost all flash games
I used to do that in Middle School. I am now in high school, and my teachers can remotely watch my screen and close any tabs. That video perfectly describes 6th grade… except the detention since I did not get caught.
Rest In Peace I will never forget flash games I use to play them in school during free time mostly friv.
Playing Castle Crashers demo with my dad on my old playstation three when i was five was awesome. Playing Flash Sonic on FRIV ( 2015 ) was awesome. R.I.P Flash
Vdd
Same goes from when I first played SSF2 on my Old Computer in April 2017
My life hasn't been the same since Flash died
My dissapointment has been immesurable and my life is shit since December 2018
The scariest but also funniest thing is when the teacher catches you and then your friend next to you finally reminds you that the teacher was watching you play coolmathsgames the whole time
When I was in remote learning i was at school, no friends, nothing to do cool maths games was basically what saved me from doing the funny shoot in head
I can't imagine a person who never played a flash game in school. The games are way more tempting than listening to whatever crap the American school system makes up
i never played flash games in school because my school dont have internet access and i mostly play it on my mom's laptop on her office and internet cafes because most of the game i find there are cash grab asian online games (yes i'm not american)
just imagine what kind of school education we have in Russia
@Green Carnotaurus Yea, I beat like 2 demons in 1 week of school while French class bcuz our teacher is kind =)

I’m not even american
I remember doing Papa Louie when I was a kid it was so much fun on coolmath and I went on the official website to play game
I played a lot of Angry birds Flash games on Funny Games and HOLY SHIT IT was so nostalgic!!!!!!
I wish teachers were this wholesome and professional
thats why when the volume is all the way down you pay attention to the footsteps
and when you hear the teacher
open at least 200 more tabs

This guy really does not have the Chromebook skill required to switch tabs.
0:45 the bout of pants shitting fear that arrived after you realized you cant hear the teacher talking after your every-30-minute-clue-in and you realize that you cant SEE him anymore..... unimaginable
This brings back home henry stickmin, hobo, strike force heroes, ffs6 and tons of more

Is it just me or the editing is really good. Like bro, You’re out here putting so much effort in a meme video.
The hand on shoulder thing is so accurate
This literally is a nostagic piece and I don't want it getting erased from youtube
This animation brought back a lot memories, as there was one time I accidentally blasted the music for Jelly Truck WAYYY too loud. It was awkward. I also remember being caught playing Snail Bob 8, and then never again was I allowed to play Flash games. Good times.
I remember flash games. I wasn’t really around during that time, I mean I was around for a while when they weren’t gone. I remember playing them in class as well, I miss them
Thats why I always made sure my volume was muted or really low before I even open anything on my computer/laptop
Man. These were the best.
i remember just a couple weeks before flash was shut down i spent an evening playing all the classics i loved from my childhood. these are tiny games compared to whatever drivel the TripleA is pumping out but they're made for free by small teams or even one person with such a level of passion and commitment that's just absolutely astounding.
I still use a laptop with obnoxiously loud fans that output every game at 10 fps right now
The nostalgia was cracked to pieces without Adobe Flash.
R.I.P. Adobe Flash #ripadobeflash
I was playing Fire Boy and Water Girl on Flash with my brother, now i just talking to a pile of dirt and a stone.
theres this kid named theo and in 4th grade he just frickin only played games during class, i dont even know how he got in 5th grade and like even when the teacher could see him like damnnnnn
I got caught playing Flash games once and my school called my parents, good memories
I remember playing this one point-and-click post-apocalyptic game, and it really left an impression to me up ‘til this day, because it was so well done. I don’t remember the name sadly, I just remember that you have to figure out in the first game how to get out of the bunker in order to go outside and do other stuff.
Flash games was half of my childhood when i was a kid i didnt know they got blocked so i was sad
Now this brings me back like I so much fun with flash games like one time I got in trouble for playing doody man in my schools computer lab. Man such good times.
The golden age of Flash games were a magical experience. There’s no sense of complexity in them, they’re just free and made with genuine passion placed by small game developers. My favorites were the Raze trilogy, Strike Force Heroes, Zombotron, and many more…
Man.
I am learning programming and it's all because of flash (and our nice computer teacher and scratch)
I love it.
Bro that shoulder tap was always terrifying no matter what even if you trained

Sift heads, strike force hero’s pizzeria, henry stickman, AHHHH i cant the memories AHHHH, im now playing those games in the flash player archive
I like knowing the fact that this experience is something that Memify, along with the rest of us all experienced, it's funny, it's like some kind of a right of passage
Literally computer class back in my school days. Our teacher was such a brainlet that she asked me to fix her computer. All what I learned from her was Microsoft Word, everything else I learned from local Internet cafe I used to go to, and she could care less about kids playing flash games in middle of her class. Perhaps something has changed since 2000s, but I highly doubt that.
