About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in (1997) and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.
Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.
#Blur #TrimmTrabb #13
13 is a fucking masterpiece
I agree
@@CharlieFox x2
Just found another one, some I'd forgotten, Oh .. I got Trimm Trabb...
all blur albums are
god tier album
Definitely one of my favourite songs from Blur.
I used to drive my poor neighbour crazy playing this track loudly of an evening while I relaxed in the bath. Happy days!
Bastard. I hope you appreciated the nails on your driveway.
Such an underrated song. 13 is truly Blur’s best album.
Love this l.p. plus Think Tank, eps, leasure, 💯
It has to be" Think Tank" in my opinion, "no distance left to run".
Blur and Radiohead, my beloved ones!
Their good but the Catherine Wheel from England are the realest !!
@@frisbeeshawn5356 a fellow shoegazer I see. Catherine Wheel are absolutely classic!
I'd chuck Ride in.
One of the most obscure and cool songs by them. Live it!
Hmmm... did you mean to say "love it"? Cuz to me this song seems to be about bein' on the smack. And being a junkie ain't no way to live ;-)
@@lincolnhirschi2527 why are u listening to it then?
@@user-if9oh6zt1j because I love Blur & 13 is my favorite album by them. Quite a few songs written about the Ol' smackaroonie over the years. So what's the point of your question anyway?
Hardly obscure?
Very hardly obscure@@pyenapple
I particularly like when the terror begins at 4:10

Like a bad trip, but awesome.

one of my favorite on the album!
My favorite song by blur the
Moi aussi
Love blurs weirder side... they were well ahead of their time... puts a mockery to the whole blur/oasis britpop rivalry
Probably my favourite blur song love the guitar riff
This song, Swamp Song, Tender and No Distance Left To Run are my fav ones of 13
oops, I forgot 1992
charmlessnerd same
charmlessnerd for me it's trimm trab, swamp song, bugman, mellow song, 1992 and tender
charmlessnerd I agree but I think coffee and tv is in that list too
My top 5 are:
1. Battle
2. Coffee and TV
3. No Distance Left to Run
4. Trimm Trab
5. Caramel
Blur. Probably one of the most Exceptionally Overlooked , Greatly Creative writing and music collectives besides maybe The Beatles.,The Stones, or U2 to name a few obvious children. Blur reconfigured the trends of their time, using the constant bombardment of advertising and ridiculous excess that 90s was known for in an exaggerated ,sarcastic tongue in cheek manner .That with some of the best harmony and melodies ive given in to singing along with , in my book make them one of my top ten favorite music collectives. Period.
Funkin trimm trabb.so so awesome
Lost any credibility when you mentioned U2. Stop talking like you know what you're talking about. You sound like a cliche-man.
+Jason Lashman They're one of the most successful British bands ever. Hardly overlooked. Much as I love them.
fuck U2
U2 go home!
that guitar is so dirty. i love it.
This is an awesome road trip album. Many a road trip to and through So. Utah has been to 13 as a soundtrack. Also good for commuting, doing dishes, and w headphones on, staring into space. That's just the way it is.
Great record
Bro it's the opposite for me I couldn't imagine listening to this with another person lol
The rush of adrenaline that runs through all of your being while hearing this live, it's impossible to explain .
Fun Fact this is Dave's least favorite song to play live.
Probably because of how much drums there is.
@@isaacjaacbecause hes playing not just hearing it
@@supario2896 its his least favourite because its the hardest
Most obscure Blur song. Graham - Genius.
13 is the shy cousin of Kid A.
13 is 1999, Kid A is 2001.
The better crafted, less pretentious 5th or 6th cousin
@@papayer 2000*
It's a much better album than Kid A.
@@areader2253 i love both of them, but i think Kid A stands out for the concept and the sound, which in my opinion is more richer and cohesive than in 13.

13 is a really good album ugh
Love how the sound builds to the crescendo with the screaming. This is one of those Graham Coxon songs.
0:00-2:48 :Daniel
2:48-5:37 :The cooler Daniel
Right to my core. Can't never get enough of Damon, oh god.
Damon Albarn is too cool
As is Graham Coxon
@@hydrophobicspider yes Hydro all four of 'em. The other guy specified Damon, me being a guitarist I have a special affinity for Graham...Blur is amongst the greatest most creative special bands ever. And for me 13 is their hands high water mark. Emphasis on the "high" nudge nudge wink wink

best song from 13
Simply one of the best songs ever written
2:53 such a tasty distortion kick 👌👌
indeed
The drums on this track are super crisp.
how is this so painfully overlooked
I like ur name
13 in general is overlooked
@@yhvhfan you're a door be quiet
Its really not. In fact in the Reddit Blur community it was ranked as thier fourth best song
The guitar riff in this 👌
Check out Syd Barrett's "Wined & Dined," it's awfully similar.
This song is amazing! Loved 13 when it came out, but appreciate it more now I think.
Brilliant.
Love it.Call Alan Cornelius on 0208 446 3401
The real soundtrack to Fight Club. This album, and this especially.
AHHH this song, i really love it... My treasure
I owned most of the albums back in the day and still remember how excited when I got this 24 years ago! 🤩 I used to play this on repeat to sleep.. The Voice.. The Riff.. Takes me to another Dimension everytime! 😍 That was in Malaysia and now in Sweden at 52 I just purchased '13' today! I'm gonna binge play it outdoors this Summer the old fashion way!!!! Luvyaaa BOYS @ DA & GLC! ❤❤❤ You are a MASTERPIECE❤️❤️❤️
Teenage years, this song in my ears, down the paris subway, watching people, weird, lonely, afraid, stoned, matrixed people living their automatic lives... Feeling in awe in front of such beautiful weirdness... "just the way it is" !
Possibly my favourite ever BLUR song!
Best album, crazy
you can't tell me that this is not like the best song ever created
listening to this high
congrats!

Best track on the album.
That 90's photoshop lens flare though.
why did you mention it now i can't see anything else

Deliberate effect. The album's from 1999. They made it look bad on purpose.
To be honest I thought that was just the natural effect caused by photographing the painting with flash.

13 is fucking mega! One of the absolute all time greatest albums. Definitely Blur's best.
And that's coming from a hardcore Oasis fan.
I saw them play this live in Dublin last Saturday and have had it on repeat on Spotify ever since, cracking riff 👌
i just saw them yesterday at wembley and i never appreciated the song before hearing it live but now i keep listening to it on repeat - they were absolutely phenomenal
@@angellightfoot644 they really are. Blur are back !
How in the fuck are Oasis considered "more rock" when Blur have made far more heavier riffs. It is something that still really bothers me. Blur are way more of a rock band than Oasis ever were.
Even Oasis fans were stunned when I played this song to them, they couldn't believe this was Blur.
Agreed, Coxon is better guitarist than noel ever will be
Oasis being "more rock" than blur is a myth
You are correct! I was a serious blur fan but lost them after the Great Escape debacle. Didn't even purchase blur or 13 despite the obvious hits... They were incredibly eclectic and flexible as a band with clever arrangements. Have finally re-discovered my love for them. Of course, the narrow definition of "rock" is not appropriate for such a wide-ranging group such as blur. They are still underrated.
To be honest, as much as I like Noel and his instinct for a good tune, comparing Oasis to Blur is downright insulting. Yes, Oasis won the commercial War, but Blur had 6 consecutive UK No1 Albums and sold millions themselves. But, musically..no comparison. Blur constantly updated and progressed their sound, and made Kid A before Radiohead did. Oasis were done musically by 96. Everything after was just bloated pub rock and sub par versions of earlier work. The only real underwhelming album in Blurs catalogue is Leisure. But even that has 3 great songs on it.
Because 'rock' tends to mean hitting your instruments until they make an acceptable noise. Oasis produced rock, Blur produced proper music. Of course, I understand the origins of the term 'rock' in music, but it means something completely different nowadays, as does 'rhythm & blues'.
Who will be remembered and rediscovered in decades to come? It's not going to be Oasis.
@@jtaylor9562 Blur are artists in a class of their own. And yes, class matters. Oasis overdid the whole Northern cool thing, and were so limited, creatively speaking. Terrace culture can only give you so much, you know. Adidas and lager. The irony is that Liam somehow managed to write a song like 'Born on a different cloud'. 'Pub rock' is an excellent way to put it. The whole 'new Beatles' thing is hilarious. Oasis' whole output would be the equivalent of the Beatles never getting past the 'Love me do' stage :)
One of my fave of all time ❤
2018 .. let it flow
2022... It flows with me now
В кульминиции все еще "мурашки по коже".
i like how blur plays this live everytime
I think in this song trimm trabb are a metaphor for going after superficial things and then one day waking up you've missed the point of life when it's too late...
yeah, its about consumerism, he has the same famous adidas sneakers (the trimm trabbs) everyone has, but he still feels alone, "he sleeps alone"
@@cookie-yg9mz I'd go further to say it's about being in blur and chasing fame and then looking back at people in the crowd and saying I missed the point
...to not be alone
I didn't know the title of the song was because of the Adidas model " Trimm Trab"! wooooow such a discovery after listening to this song for nearly 20 years.
Noticed this song is similar to Syd Barretts “Wined and Dined”. Love them both!
I've had a pair of red Adidas Trimm Trab that have lasted me like 16 years. Some wear but no tear.

Wow! Got nostalgia trip on this song. I remember I binge playing this on my stressy college years.
Epic song
Wined and dined.
saw them in Wembley last night and my heart is now so full
Am I the only one that thinks this sounds like Wined and Dined by Syd Barrett?
Take one look at the comments section and you will get your answer.
At the expense of repeating a previous comment that may exist but I have not seen, for those of you who are curious or did not already know this (because it has been years since this was released) I looked up what they said in the beginning, it is the address to a hotel in West Hollywood.
Thank you for figuring it out in a way. I'm still wondering what's the significance of the hotel however.
holy shit I live in hollywood
They stayed in it when on tour I think
Maybe he/ they shot up there. Seems to be what the song is about.
“Let it flow” ahh I love it
One of my fave of all time 2
Este un temazo. Clásico de Blur en vivo.
Hes talking about a pair of shoes in the best way possible
Omg haven't heard this in so many years! Love it!
Greatest song on 13, one of the greatest by anyone ever... that's just the way it is.
Let's not fuss and squabble. They're both worlds apart and brilliant...
Prob my favorite of all blur music. It signify's for me at least the death of the 'party'.. well my party at least. The power at capturing the death clutch, moment, is this song.. Just soo ya know the orange blur album was that end soundtrack but this was the nail.
What a great song
