It isn't necessarily beaters but everyday cars, unique rides and some cult classics I'm interested in. That pinky finger up while your sipping tea stuff doesn't resonate the same.
When it comes to flipping everyday cars are the ones that sell, and the cheap beaters sell quick these days. If I bought only what I liked I’d have no cars. Always gotta think about the consumer

Craig, your viewers probably like the more obtainable cars to watch you buy/sell, than the more high-end ones like your C8, and the Porsche. me personally, I'd rather see you get beaters, fix them up, and sell for a profit. Just more enjoyable to me to keep old cars going. Great vids.

That's what your audience connects with: cheap, run-down old cars that can be purchased for a song and hopefully fixed up on a budget to get a nice car out of the deal. They are disinterested in some rich cake-eater showing off his $90,000 sports car. They want to see you acquire, fix up and flip hoopties! You may sneer at the poor pedestrian tastes of the peon proles that watch your show, but contempt for one's audience has ruined many (movie directors like George Lucas, Michael Bay, etc. come to mind).
The famous rock critic of the 60s and 70s Lester Bangs once said: “The ultimate sin of any performer is contempt for the audience. Those who indulge in it will ultimately reap the scorn of those they’ve dumped on whether they live forever like Andy Paleface Warhol or die fashionably early like Lenny Bruce, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday. I love watching your dealer auction videos where you pick out a car and bring it back to life and then sell it over other content because those videos are more relatable.
Nice GTR Australia got 100 of the R32s in the early 90s. My mates dad had one. We had these in our Australian touring car series racing against four door sedans from GM and Ford. They actually added weight to the GTR to slow it down and it still smashed the competition. Australian engineers created a system which enabled the race cars to start out in AWD at the start of a race then go to RWD only. The Japanese were impressed with their know how.
Great buy in that Matrix, Craig. They are going for $3k - $4k+ now, maybe even more in really good condition And that one, if well maintained, could certainly max out the odometer at 299,999 miles.

lot up here in Edmonton Alberta Canada, we closed up shop 10 years ago, I still own the rights to the name , and have been toying with going and getting my dealer license and setting up on my property thats 30 min outside the city, but has highway frontage with about 30k in traffic a day. Watching your videos are making me feel nostalgic lol

The new stuff is neat, but unattainable for the average guy. I love cheap cars and projects, things I could afford to do right now, on a small budget. Beaters can be improved dramatically for little effort=instant gratification.

I think people like seeing common cars bought, fixed up, and sold. Seems like German is a big hit also, it's interesting seeing how you fix up cars.
I've kind of noticed, that he's slowly getting away from what got him here.
He's saying that all we want to see are beater cars, and he wants to buy Porsches, BMWs and CTVs. Not all of us are pulling down 6 figures. We have families and expenses too. I love those BMWs and CTVs too, but I also have bills to pay

Prices are insane at auction now. How do you do it? We’re in the same market. I’m about an hour west of you. I stopped buying cars at aane and Billerica (especially Billerica since you can’t even drive them) we fix the cars and offer a warranty so can’t seem to make any money on them with the cost of things now a days. Nada and kbb are just slightly catching up to the market now but I won’t sell over their prices. I’ve found myself buying projects for cheap and taking too long assembling them to make a profit. I hope things even out soon. You’re doing great. Keep up the good work. Our service is keeping us going at the moment….. not selling cars
Because stupid expensive new cars, are out of range for most people who watch your videos, have no history, they start, stop & drive, wow how exciting.
Old cheap cars, we can relate, we had them in the past or family members had one. How much did it cost, what's the back story, does it start? Does it drive? Can you find/fix issues properly on a budget, can it be cleaned up and give a new owner a few years of affordable transport. The list goes on & on why cheaper older cars do better for views. Thought that would be obvious to you.
Most bigger car channels, are ones that show older cars, will they run, repair, flip etc
Samcrac, Weird beard, JRGO, Salvage Rebuilds uk, MightyCarMods just to name a few from all around the world but all use the same formula older "project" type cars.

My 2008 Ford Mustang says Yes! 1500 buy now price… was not final price but repaired was still under 3000. I replaced radiator, hood and painted hood. Makes me smile everyday… This was done 2 years ago? But there are still are deals out there…. Getting state patrol inspection currently is another story…

I signed up for your intro to car flipping. The prices for the two F150s seems high but I don’t know your market. I find there is a good private sellers market for clean cars and trucks up to $10,000 after that most people would rather go to a dealer and finance what they want. Most people just look at the monthly payments rather than the price which I can’t compete with selling privately. Enjoying you videos. Cheers
Dont wrap the hood just paint . Dont make unnecessary work for yourself or the next buyer. Good buy though and keep up the good work.
Got to say the Matrix is a good deal! I have an 2008 Yairs with 215000 miles on it and never had a problem!
The Cayenne turbo had an ultra rare spare tire option. Worth 2-3 alone. It was missing the wheel cover cap (which said turbo) and tire cover.
It’s likely nobody is aware and it sold for cheap. I’d go back and buy that one. The turbos have less bore score issues and once you get the minor problems resolved they are great cars other than crap on gas tires and brakes. Cheers.

The low price cars are what is in within reach of most people, so it makes perfect sense most people are interested in seeing you buy-fix-sell those. Sure, looking at an expensive car you don't know anything about (and probably never will be able to afford) may be fun once in a while, but somehow I don't feel that a New Hampshire used car salesman is the guy I'd go to for that.
If you like doing videos about expensive cars and that's what you want to focus on, that's absolutely fine, and there's probably plenty of viewers out there for that kind of content. But the people who came here for the low price buy-fix-sell may not stick around if they're interested in fixing $1-2-3000 beaters and the main content changes to driving a 80 000$ electric Porsche between poorly working charging stations.
11:40 I'm not ev expert but the thing you have to watch out for: battery condition. Sure it's $7700 but if the battery is pooched you're looking at $16K and up for a new one or $8K and up for a used one. Now some still have 80 to 90 percent capacity on the battery after 8 years, that's what you have to find.

Toyota instantly got a pass after 2-3 years of BMW Supra ragging once they revealed their all new lineup. I don't think anyone is going to touch Toyota/Lexus for like 15 years. The entire lineup is GORGEOUS...I'm personally not ready for an all electric car, but they completely justified punting the Supra to BMW. Even the fake vents on the BMW Supra become real in the new true Toyota/Lexus cars.
