Keep it
For future reference you can use Carly to get rid of that annoying bmw dinging/chime you didn’t like. Only takes a minute or two
Its Vossen for the rims, I had the same rims on my Audi
Another paint tip - wet the floor with water around the car to help catch dust before you spray
It would sell on a BHPH lot in Miami for $15,995+++ with $5k down. Ghettofabulous!
ghetto scandalous
BMW + convertible + V8? That’s living life on the edge!
Bro he don't even know 😭 I'll never buy another V engine from BMW after my 4.4i X5
The Escalade is a vehicle with no roof, it isn't a convertible. A convertible is a vehicle that converts from a roof to a no roof position.
The wheels on the BMW are Vossen rims
No, they are rare N3ssov wheels🤣
Nobody in the history of BMW that has bought a BMW has ever done alright at anything other than buying a ticking time bomb that the only surprise will be the number of different things that can go wrong and will with time, go wrong!
You probably buy shit cars then….
Yupp its inevitable, those that say "ive had a bmw with so many miles problem free are full of shit" most of their parts are made of plastic thats not designed to hold up for very long and this will lead to leaks, not to mention all the extra sensors and electrical modules that will go out in time, like you said its literarily a bomb. Owned one at one point and never again 😂
Facts
Um............that's like every other mfr., every car is a potential mechanical ticking time bomb.
You paid $3800 for it. If you spend $12k fixing it you can probably sell it for $3300
I remember back in the mid 2000s when these came out
Fucking revolutionary, nothing on the road looked like a 6 Series
And those gigantic stock wheels were a taste of what was to come in the future
I agree they aged super well looks wise. Inside and out. I still would feel good driving a mint one.
vossen rims not stock very expensive
@@Jamieh00
Im talking about the rims they came with back in the day
They were enormous, exaggerated looking
@13:43 Vossen, dude. Well known, high quality rims. Cmon!!!!
3:00 I just watched you ESV video where you painted it.Then here you complain about bad paint prep. Awesome
Those bmw dashes crack bad always
always appreciate your show along with super honesty.
I absolutely got the Seinfeld reference but I’m older than you so no surprise there 😂
you were lucky to have sold that thing for 7k at this time of year.
"Endless money pit"
Scotty entered the chat
I’m telling the wizard and Scotty Kilmer so they can shame this bmw lol
Wrap the car wash it detail and get rid of it
Vossen Wheels bro lol... Great find! I just sold my '07 black on black 650i... Only had 45,000kms on it.. I got 30 grand for it, sad to see it go but obviously couldn't pass up that price... This car aged the best out of all BMW's from that era.. it's still a head turner!
Great video to watch while I was on lunch at work! Always look forward to your videos Craig! Plus we love to see Papa Al!!
thank you!
love ur videos man, keep em coming, happy holidays
Thank you so much for a full start to end video,
The wheels are VOSSEN CV3, and if they are real vossen than they are pretty expensive by them selfs 👍
Loving they videos 💥🔥🔥
If he replace those rims for the original his car is going to go up in value and he gets to keep the rims
I wonder why a car guy like him didn't know vossen!!!
Hey Craig, 1996 and newer is obd2.
Just thought I would point that out. Thank you for the great videos. Love the channel.
BMW's are strippers. They look great, but you have to throw money at them all the time. It appeared most of your repairs were cosmetic. 7k is a lot for a car with a rebuilt title. I know the engine settled down when it was warm. Did the plugs fix the intermittent cylinder issue? I love the mix of toys and practical vehicles. (Sadly the Hummer didn't really fall in either of those categories.) I always look forward to your content. Please give our best to Papa Al, he's really the highlight. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas '22!
I hope Leroy made it to the gas station without running out of gas!!! LOL SMFH
Awesome to watch someone with such skill . Enjoy your videos
I’ve been waiting for this video. Love your videos man keep up the good work
Love your work Craig. You are multi skilled.
Excellent!!! Glad you got it sold!
👍 on the Seinfeld reference. One of my fav episodes. Love the candy bar skit with George 😂
Cheers for vid, enjoyable as usual! Interesting to see how States dealing compares to UK
Got to give you props , I’ve talked down upon your prices and choices and ideas but I’ll give you this , you go out of your way to restore cosmeticly cars where you have no need to spend out of pocket for a car you will gain almost little to nothing on return after labor and paint restoring a car appearance, where here in cali all small dealerships just sale you trash and overprice and are falling apart so cheers man !!!!
thank you!
You applaud his hack jobs! wow!
@@markmansel9899 you think him repainting the entire car, wheels, calipers, cleaning the interior, fixing the engine was a hack job? 🤦♂🤦♂
@@markmansel9899 you have no idea if he didn’t have UA-cam he would go under with as much work as he does to these cars but I bet his customers are super happy
Love what you make, videos are very informative and direct. About the BMW keep it and sell it for a profit in the spring, mho.
Nobody has ever gone that far to the left of the slash! Love 'Seinfeld' and the channel.
love auction days, always good to see papa AL. fun content and something new to learn every episode. doing great Craig!
Loving the longer vids
Great upload 🙂 Informative.
I owned one. Way back when. It kept dying on me quite often . I remember a recall for this issue . The fix sounded very easy. The wire connected to the main battery was installed backwards.
Do y’all even let the video finish before you comment? Lol but it’s great that you got it sold quicker than you thought and for profit. You made it look a lot better.
Thanks a lot for this video Good Job
Love papa al 💪always there to help.. I think he should be next to deserve a treat what do you think Craig ?
Just got a 2011 BMW 328i xdrive. Salvage title from auction. I love it, first BMW great little four door all wheel drive car for winter. Replaced hood fender and headlights. I’m sure when I sell it will get up to double money put in…Don’t be afraid of salvage title, just know what caused it… in my case a barely damaged hood, a cracked barely bumper, dented fender and busted single headlight plastic…
If you are a private seller, save the photos and show the new buyer when ready to sell.
I got a clean title 645 coupe in a 6 speed. Love it
Over here from Indiana watching you !
I don’t know why but I like it. Ownership would scare me with repair costs but if is cool.
That’s good that you got rid of that thing stat!! Those SMG transmissions back than I had one one my M5 and around 100k miles the hydraulic pump are a big failure point and they are expensiveeee!! Breaking even is a winnnnn brother.
Great video Craig...
I remember when I bought my 645 convertible. Brand new in 2004 it was a great experience.
Good buy and nice video i would wait for spring when it would go for more It's a nice looking beamer
Your son looks just like you and your wife. Usually kids look like 1 or the other. You guys probably have those fights who he looks like the most I bet 😆 🤣
I saw the wife in the face.
@@emeyer6963 me to, I actually didn't see Craig at all? Momma's boy for sure!
Cool video. Thnx
Pop's is like the White Thunderbird one of a kind and super cool.
yesss!! I knew you would sell it before the video ended!!
Craig, I don’t understand all the haters! Used cars are a tough business. That’s why most lots last five years or less. The fact that you’ve been there, is it seventeen years?, is a testament to the overall way you treat your customers and the way you do business.
I guess there’s a lot of jealous keyboard dealers.
I enjoy your success and your videos, my friend.
Grats on the sale!!! (She DEFINITELY looks good)
And that Seinfeld episode was hilarious 😂
Vossen wheels!
Those are VOSSEN rims over 2k a set!!!!
Great that you sold it… I would have reverted everything to stock and do all the ignition coils to ensure no misfires and then would have done a dash restoration video
But then again the channel is about buying and selling cars for profit and ensuring happy customers so doing what you did was the best for the car and the business
@@Roberto-gp3yx Nah, this channel is about quick fixes that won't last and selling the car off the next person, also a couple videos ago his first instinct was to cut up a perfectly useable Lincoln rather than sell it to someone so I don't think he cares about make customers happy by selling them a good car, just the money
Great job moving that beamer!
I have Carly as well, but the functions and models are variable. As you said, it is great for BMW. Not so much on Korean GM stuff. Make sure you are aware of your model and functions at purchase.
Is there not a like universal version of it?
Good looking car BMW and rare on the road. Nice flip.
Craig I was just getting ready to tell you to stick it out for the most you could get, when you said it sold, it wouldnt have taken up too much space for the eventual benefit
Been watching for a while. Your paint jobs are always so good!! Impressive:) thanks for the greats tips you share have a good xmas brotha
Thanks for watching!
I agree for a guy who doesn't paint for a living Craig gets pretty decent results.
You are one lucky man these bmw 8 cyl models are the worst and not to mention the money you sold if for, incredible 👏
Put Poppa Al in the thumbnail and I bet you’ll get 2 million views next time 😂😂
Awesome show
You are exhausting!!!
For me, the biggest hiccup is the front passenger bumper, fender match. For a restored car, I expect it took like a body shop did a great job restoring it. But, great job making money on it.
6:11 As the BMW was badly wrecked , it probably sat for a while under the sun cracking the dash and affecting cheap plastic
I saw that bottle on the ground in front of the car earlier in the video and thought "I'd move that so I don't run over it". A couple of minutes later, Craig runs over it.
Keep that BMW .. I love my '06 530 I sedan .. I'm 2nd owner and just hit 100K miles.. Always serviced !!! And Garaged !!. Gorgeous White w/ tan int. It still looks like it just left the showroom floor !!
your 530 has the good engine. This 650 not so much
i sit on cars jus like that all winter i love projects an toys the money is made on toys in the summer time love the content craig
Is this crawford towing in NH?
@@FlyingWheels no I’m n ky
13:03 look at the kettle calling the pot black!
☝☝☝ 🤣
Lol preach
Shocked you got that much for a rebuilt title 650i money pit. Just hope the guy doesn't come back in 48 hours when the check engine light pops on again.
great stuff thanks
Hang on to it to the springtime
It’s exhausting just listening to this guy..can you imagine the wife or kids trying to get a word in 😱
I had one of these new. Great car!
It's funny the cars you call old and junkie or turds I look at and go "Man that's a pretty good car!" We obviously sell much lower price inventory than you do. Love your channel!
VOSSEN wheels and they are nice wheels haha. They were at SEMA. Next year if you go stop by the Rotary lift booth where I work. The wheels are high end. Keep up the good work watch every video and try to give a thumbs up
Nessov🤣🤣 the logo is upside down, it’s Vossen, that one had me 🤣🤣.
Nice convertible bmw i like it and the color also👍
4:37 That's "somebody" like you!! 😂
It looks great, love the color
Got the reference. LOVED that episode.
Never saw someone so indecisive before. Just make up your mind and stick to it.
There's still some overlap between the needle and slash below the E~ Kramer
Nice Brighton & Hove Albion shirt!!!
Hi Craig I really loves your big fan I have why you cover all the car then paint why u didn’t just remove bumper and paint ? Thanks
I just stumbled on your channel. I really like your content. I am in NH too. Got a sub from me!
8500 hold on to it
7:59thanks
13:39 Nessson? Lol. Funny stuff.
Down here in Guatemala this car is an 11 of 12 you sand car and here it is always spring so here climate is not an issue
You need to have donk wheels on the caddy. Idk why but I feel like it would actually look good towing something.
I'd lean toward taking the loss and getting your money working on other cars. Right now I'd expect interest rates to rise and Dealer Wholesale prices are still going down, so the prospects for getting a higher sales price and make up "holding" costs into March and April are not ideal.
I figured it would sell, too nice. And especially Cool!
It’s kind of amazing if you just state the dilemma in another description. If someone said you can put out $4500 and store a car for 3-4 months and get a 75-80% return on your money people would think you were full of it. Possibly even a 100% return if it sold for $9k. Doesn’t sound bad to me.
The sky is beautiful
not a bm fan but at the price you paid and way it looks well worth it. and said that before end of video by which time you had sold it so i was right, for once very rare thing, used to work in car trade in the uk many years ago it was not easy then either and that was long time ago.
Watching this at 1AM in Canada! Like for papa Al!!
