I like the spirit of Cotto. A true fighter who has a warrior's heart. He pushes himself always. Looking for the top opponent. He have been down for many times but still he keeps on going. He is fighting Martinez which is a very good fighter also. Godbless Miguel Cotto on his fight tomorrow. Win or lose, you will never lose me as your fan.

outclassed kind of implies that he wasn'tn in floyd's league. Cotto did some great boxing throughout the entire fight. He proved why he was an olympic fighter.

Of course Cotto would said something good on Floyd in an anticipation for their fight but somewhere on 2008, he even said that Floyd was avoiding some of the available WW that time w/c includes him. You could search this as well in the NET for verification.
Now Floyd avoided Tony for the excuse on the purse & Tony was not a PPV Star but when he was asked on 2009 about a PPV fight w/Shane, he cited that Tony was the MAJOR draw on the Mosley/Margarito fight, it seemed Floyd had a double standard.
and I respectfully challenge you to give me a reason that Manny deserves 50/50, that I can't debunk.....
Mayweather is a TRUE champion and deserves every respect, I don't see any other boxer at this age in time being a world champion for 16 years and being UNDEFEATED and fighting all the best in the world even before pacquiao....I mean common the ONLY fighter i know that was undefeated and was a champion was Rocky Marciano and that was ages ago...This guy mayweather is currently the WORLD'S GREATEST, no disrespect to Mohammad Ali but in this day in age, he is!!!! THUMBS UP IF YOU FEEL ME!!!!!

Floyd you don't have to take shots in order to gave public what they want; all you have to do is win the match and not get hit. This is a signature of smart fighter who will have longevity and a healthy retirement. Win the match and that's all you need to do; as you have done for the many years; this will be your legacy.

He was forced to fight, i wish he would quite trying to play it off like he just decided on a whim to fight differently than he usually does.
Actually it could be true. In rounds 10-12 he boxed Cotto. It was a completely different fight in those rounds
Not going to happen, Floyd is naturally bigger than Pacquiao. But I heard Floyd is now moving back down to 140, So just maybe we might get to see Broner vs Mayweather.
He really didnt get hit THAT much. Cotto landed only about 21% of his punches. But Floyd couldnt do anything about Cottos jab... that was the punch that busted Floyd all up.

Floyd doesn't even look hurt. From all the people who said Cotto won and beat Floyd up I was expecting a beat up fighter. Floyd looks fine to me.

Leonard took 5 yrs. & Oscar took 3 yrs off but this was just once, Floyd had 2 Semi-Retirement w/in 5 yrs. He came out of Retirement on 2009 & then on 2010, he will SEMI-RETIRE again. If he want to RETIRE, retire for GOOD.
Now all your mentioned fighters in Quintana, Margarito, Cintron, Cotto, add to this as well Paul William, Joshua Clottey they were all GREAT during 2005 to 2008, did Floyd challenge them w/in that time?

@TheNinyo77 i can understand if floyd used his weight to pressure marquez but all he did was outbox him and if floyd was smaller the fight probably would've ended alot worse cause floyd would've been faster

Dude, you are quoting the Bradley fight but not the 2011 when Pac edged Floyd in terms of PPV, Pac had 1.34 & 1.45 w/Mosley & JMM compared to the 1.25 w/Ortiz w/c until now was still not authorized & signed by the HBO.
What 3/4 are you saying? His 2.4 mill PPV buys w/DLH was all attributed to DLH not him. Why don't you check his prev. PPV buys bef. the DLH fight. Why don't you tally the PPV fights bet. Pac & Floyd w/o the DLH fight & see the BIG edge of Pac over Floyd.
Yea, For example if Mayweather had lost the Cotto fight,he(Mayweather would have had to give up a specific belt(Whichever title he was defending) to Cotto.

Next set Pac/SSM did 1.2 and Mayweather/SSM did 1.4. Next fight Pac/Margarito did 1.5 and Mayweather/JMM did 1.0. and EVERY fight before that belongs to Mayweather...not only that, but Mayweather/Cotto will MOST CERTAINLY outsell Pac/Bradley...C'mon son!!!

Blame Arum for it not happening. Besides Pac only makes a third of what Mayweather makes per fight. If you made $100 per job and you had to work with someone who normally makes $10 per job, would you all of sudden drop your basic pay and give the other guy most of your cash? Of course not. I say Pac makes the fight happen and if he wins, he can negotiate 50/50 next time.
