But he can never you mention as one of the greatest in his division because the greatest champions always tried to take out their opponents. To be great you got to take the chance . Manny is my fave boxer ever, I thought he could do it, but Mayweather was so good, sublime, that he actually made Manny (EIGHT division champion and fighter of the decade) look ordinary. I'm a Filipino, but I was raised in Canada so growing up, Pacquiao being some nationalistic icon wasn't really a big deal to me. However I fell in love with sports like boxing, mma and muay thai and learned a lot. I fell in love with Pac because he was a great boxer not because he is Flip. Point is, the better fighter won CLEARLY. Pac is still an awesome fighter even though he lost, but blindly ignoring the facts of the fight in May 2nd doesn't do him or his fans respect. And this isn't a racial case of black vs asian genes or some bullshit like that. These two INDIVIDUALS displayed their outstandingness. However the brighter fighter stood out more. Pac lost, mayweather won, both fighters made boxing still relevant. Mayweather made more millions than a UFC weight division combined and Pac put a small, irrelevant island on the map and represented the heart of millions of filipinos. Its safe to say both these guys are great.

Be it Boxing or any other combat sport, it's very rare that a fighter goes into a fight 100% injury free anyway and i'm pretty sure floyd had his injures leading up to the fight, so this excuse bullshit coming out of the Pac camp is embarrassing. So Pacquiao came into the weigh in carefree like he's ready, but was ready to get his paycheck and use that injury as an excuse. He knew his shoulder was messed up. Nope it wasn't from the Marquez ko that changed him. It was after the Margarito fight that he lost love for the sport. Joshua Clottey was a defensive fighter. His defense was to block punches with his arms and gloves. Even then Pacquiao lit up the boxing ring against someone who did nothing but block. I'm a Filipino, but I was raised in Canada so growing up, Pacquiao being some nationalistic icon wasn't really a big deal to me. However I fell in love with sports like boxing, mma and muay thai and learned a lot. I fell in love with Pac because he was a great boxer not because he is Flip. Point is, the better fighter won CLEARLY. Pac is still an awesome fighter even though he lost, but blindly ignoring the facts of the fight in May 2nd doesn't do him or his fans respect. Pac lost, mayweather won, both fighters made boxing still relevant. Be it Boxing or any other combat sport, it's very rare that a fighter goes into a fight 100% injury free anyway and i'm pretty sure floyd had his injures leading up to the fight, so this excuse bullshit coming out of the Pac camp is embarrassing. So Pacquiao came into the weigh in carefree like he's ready, but was ready to get his paycheck and use that injury as an excuse. He knew his shoulder was messed up. We all knew something was wrong remembering how many days straight he skipped sparring and when sparred again was doing so one handed. Bad move to not postpone the fight. Injured or not he got what he deserved for not making the right decision to hold off the fight for a month or two. Should just retire. He has no fire left. Only fire to earn money. Hurt his legacy for money. Hurts it even more for making excuses when he could have postponed it. No longer seen as one of the greatest after losing, and doing so in this manner of excuses. Nope it wasn't from the Marquez ko that changed him. It was after the Margarito fight that he lost love for the sport. Joshua Clottey was a defensive fighter. His defense was to block punches with his arms and gloves. Even then Pacquiao lit up the boxing ring against someone who did nothing but block. It started with Mosley when he claimed he was getting leg cramps. That's when he went downhill and lost his exciting offense. Since then none of his fights were anywhere near as entertaining.
Notice when Arum starting discussing the shoulder injury with his lies, Pacquiao put his head down. He knew Arum's bullshit, and didn't feel comfortable about it. Should have retired the moment he started to slow down or lose passion for boxing. Mayweather was smart to say he came into the fight with injuries too, so that he doesn't get discredited.
