Biggest laughs I’ve had today after just getting home from work. Thanks.
It’s always an automatic like with your videos, Brad, before I even watch ten seconds of them.
What a great price, and weight!Everyman/working man’s affordable truck camper with Lance quality. Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for your videos, most of us would be afraid to go on the lot with the big boy prices.
I appreciate you watching! I’ve been blessed to meet so many people from the power of UA-cam! Truly amazing!
Nice, all it needs is to move the 30amp connector inside the left well and all the trucks like my Powerboost with inverters can power the camper.
Dude that will be a game changer for Lance and you...order more ASAP....peace to you.
We have placed another order, won’t be here till June, pretty back logged! I wanted to see one in person before deciding to take more lol
Agree, this is legit!
I've seen other rated half ton campers ,by far Lance 805 I'm impress with this model thank you for the video.
That's a great camper, and it makes a big deal to me that even a 150 could carry it. I like how it's built to make custom modifications easy. I do want more convenient jacks, because I intend to take it off the truck whenever I'm staying with friends or family for extended periods, or other times when I don't really need the camper.
Finally… a camper from Lance that doesn’t require a class-8 vehicle to carry legally; noted sarcasm included.
As an OTR commercial driver this appointment level suits me perfectly. ‘Would’ve been a great Eclipse rig bringing me to my point: No ladder; is it not a “walk-on” roof? That would be the only disappointment cuz kicking it on the roof is my daughter’s favorite hang. Otherwise as an 8’ bed owner with only ton or so of capacity this is perfect. ‘Very pleased with this design and a great video!
Nice camper ! This will work out great for a lot of people !
Yo Brad… great video of new product! You are the best on UA-cam for sure! Reminds me of truck camping as a kid in the 1960’s…fun times!
An induction cooktop. That’s what you were trying to think of. Lol.
I like this model. For someone who’s looking for something to just take away for a couple of days this would be perfect. It needs to convection microwave.
THANK YOU! 😆🤣 could not think of it for the life of me lol
Agreed on the microwave, I told them if they send me one to custom add one for me 😅😂
I would be a buyer if you could change 3 things. 1. Induction cook top. 2. Remove dinette/ Add a comfortable jackknife sofa with side tables. 3. On demand water heater.
If I’m being honest…..this is a solo camping rig. 2 people if you are small. So the jack knife sofa takes up less room and it’s easier to make into a bed. The idea of having to hang a water heater on the outside and then hook up all the connections to take a shower seems silly. That’s what you would do in a $200 tent. Not a $28,000 camper. Change those 3 things and I think it’s pretty sweet. Love your videos. Keep them coming.
The only item I think would be helpful is back splash around the cook top before they add the controls. But I really like this, simple but still comfortable sure beats sleeping on the ground in a tent lol.
Yes, if I was going to purchase I would definitely add backsplash!
This is a smart move by Lance... while I wouldn't mind a bathroom, I bet a lot of people don't use them (so small) and as you said many can just use the woods/campground facilities. Plus, this has TONS of counter space and fits all trucks.... BOOOOMMMM!
Wow, I am impressed with that price. I wonder how it will compare to Northern Lites "new" 610 being re-released. If I didn't just buy a new Bobcat tractor Id jump on this 805- maybe next year now.
I’m not sure, we’ll see!
Hey Brad, I hope you're having a great day! I really think Lance should send a 805 truck camper for you to demo that way you could let all your viewers know how well it works and give everyone your honest perspective an opinion on it! I I have a friend that has a truck camper an the shower is on the outside like the Lance 805 is and he made.a small platform to stand on when you take your shower and he made.it where you can hook the bottom of the shower surround to it so it doesn't blow all over the place. But I'm glad Lance is making a truck camper for.your half-ton trucks! The inside surprised me with the room in it! They done an awesome job! Your fan Leonard from North Carolina.
Love your videos Brad. If I ever win the lottery I'm coming to buy a camper from you buddy. And I'll buy you a beer too! Keep up the good work
That panel over the dinette takes its design cue from molly panel you could strap any manner of things to the front of it to organize gear
Wow Brad....this is very tempting for my F-150! You're about 1700 miles away but it's still tempting!
I’ve had several customers buckle up and make that trip, our dealership is on the turn in to Chester Frost Park Campground on Lake Chickamauga. Come see me and make a little vacation out of it. You’re going to travel with it anyways lol
I like this!
I don’t mind the porta potti or outdoor shower, but at least have the outdoor shower setup on the truck with an on demand hot water heater.
Dude nice
@BRAD, Unfortunately this does not have a RR, got to have a thrown and a shower!!!!
also the campers that have a generator how do you check the oil levels?
Awesome!
Hi Brad🎉
Hey!
I would just put that crapper outside and just drop loaf while playing guitar and sitting round the campfire! 😳
Hilarious! Not a bad idea lol
Hi there Brad, great video. Is this model available Four season certified?
It is not, the whole purpose of this camper is lightweight in mind. The lightest Four Seasons Lance Truck Camper is the 825
No washroom no thanks
Add that and it's amazing. I would rather lose some kitchen counter or some of the dinette to add a small wet bath
Yup, wetbath
Wow at sixteen hundred pounds dry is over my half ton payload. Then add cargo and water is way over half ton action.
Not over mine
@@itsbrad That's nice mine is 1365 lbs.
That sounds good, but my 2021 Toyota Tundra CrewMax TRD Sport, max cargo capacity is 1730 pounds! Putting it just shy of max....👍
Unless you have an F150 with heavy duty payload package it's over your gvwr for sure when wet and with people and gear. I have had two campers and know this for a fact. Will bet you $1000 that loaded for camping and with passengers this is over 2200 pounds on a CAT scale.
@slmjake
No doubt... better err on the side of caution!
You can never have too much truck, you certainly can have too little!✌️
Camper might be over 150 payload?
Keep It up buddy you're a genius...
I like the new 805. My only real problem is with the outside shower. I knew it had the optional enclosure, but thought it would have the hot/cold outside shower head like all other Lance truck campers. It has a water tank and water heater, right? Maybe there is no hot water at the sink and I got that wrong.
There is a tankless water heater you hang on the side mounting bracket for showering, it does not look like you have hot water to the sink
No Chem trails today.....
Cute camper but no bathroom is a deal breaker for me
Keep it light and within a halfton payload was the purpose of this camper. If you like the luxuries, gotta buy a bigger truck 😁
@@itsbrad that is true
I guess its cool that it has no inside shower, goes with the low cost.
That and weight reduction
@@itsbrad exactly what I was thinking to, weight reduction allowing you to put on anything. Really just new to the scene to me.
Do you know if on an 8ft bed, if you have access to the trailer hitch?
Gross vehicle weight rating is what people need to keep in mind instead of the 1647 dry weight. GVWR will be too heavy for the 99% of half tons that people buy.
Couldn't agree more!! I like the design of this camper, but if purchased, it would be on my 2000 F-250 4x4 7.3 diesel. My truck would handle this camper with very little effort. I like that! I don't need much as far as comforts. Also, it would allow me to tow another toy. (Samurai, fishing boat, kayaks & trailer, toybox.. etc.) Anybody that thinks this is the perfect camper for a half-ton truck might want to sharpen their pencil and recalculate the ability of their truck and what type of camping they hope to do! Just my .02
Very true. Our 1500 was not tricked out with options and the max payload was 1,771 pounds.
It’s payload capacity you need to worry about.
? New camper?
It seems to be complicated.
Can I still pull a trailer for a side by side?
Absolutely can!
can you order the funky co medina interior for an 80s guy.....lol?....even shag carpet is ok...lol
You’re welcome to throw your spin to it lol saw some shag carpet at Home Depot the other day 😂
Hi Brad
Can you change out the dinnett to a recliner with Laguna table and cabinet or does it have to come this way. Thank you.
Sure if you want to retrofit that on your own. Lance does not offer alternate lounge options on this. It is stripped down to save weight. Not Brad but you're welcome.
Is there an option for induction cooktop? Will it fit an 02 f350 long bed dully?
Wonder why they decided that more counterspace was more worthwhile than a wetbath for a basic human necessity. Unless it they did it to shave weight
Weight reduction
Come on if anyone pays msrp they are loosing out/ no restroom for that list price? What are your selling points that’s actually make this worth the price? (besides weight?)
No selling points if it’s not your style.. and of course no one pays MSRP
Any TC out there with black water tank for 5'7" f150 ? Where we want to camp requires permanent tank.
Lance 650
I have one coming in the next couple weeks if you’re interested!
Thanks , I will check it out. Wondering if better option is too upgrade to f250 and longer bed first .
There are much more used models that would work
650 was designed for 150’s/1500’s with 5 1/2 beds
If you go 250 their shortbeds are 6.75’ and you’ll be wanting to go with a 825, 865, or 850. Possibly an 855s depending on your payload and options you equip it with.
I’d throw a 650 in my 150, I’d just put bags on it.
Good review but $32K? I think it is priced out of its market.
What brand is the heater? Also fridge?
I don't mind the porta potty but they really need ro make a shower. Even of it's in the center with curtains. Drain on the floor.
Other wise, its a no from me at $34k
Showering outdoors is awesome...so refreshing, we even built an outdoor shower at our home bc we had such fond memories, dont get me wrong, my home bath is awesome too.
"molly panel"
Who’s Molly? Kidding, thank you lol
Still too heavy for my 150. I take only 1389 pounds in my bed.... dammit.
You’re the man, but I don’t think so.
Thanks, it’s not for everyone, that’s why they make different models 😁
😄👍🌹
I hate it 😜🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol not for everyone
no good
So it costs as much as a F150? 😂
Man, I don’t know when the last time you priced trucks is, but my used ‘18 F150 lariat 4x4 was still $40k. New they’re $65-$75k.
So no, it’s not as much as a 150
@@itsbrad Great name by the way. One Brad to another, 2021-2022 used f150 are in the 35k range . It seems like alot for a little camper. But this is the clown world we live in. The new middle-class
(which almost doesn’t ) exist is $275,000 a year..Average Home is 440k. I think we can agree thats over priced, while also agreeing their will be someone to Buy it 🤑
CHEAP!!!!! no micro no oven cheap stove cheap refridge cheap crapper not even a holder for keys
To much money
No Washroom = No Sale! NIce otherwise!
Entire point of this camper is light as possible for Halfton pick ups bc they felt left out. If you want all the amenities, you’ll have to buy a bigger truck
What? No squatter to pinch a loaf. Pass, Brad.
Did you not see the port o potti? lol 😂
still too much for 90% of half tons
What’s with their obsession to make half the camper a u shaped seating area? I don’t get it. Save weight and add to a camper by putting in a wet bath. Not gonna need all that seating when noone wants to come in the camper because I smell like a ball sack
