You’re right to a point, but humans are social creatures that need connection by design. This connection just isn’t part of everyday reality for a lot of people, which can cause genuine pain through loneliness.
The problem with all of this "wisdom" people like to give about our current suffering is it fails to acknowledge that we're crumbling as a society and therefore, we all are destined to be mentally and emotionally unwell. There isn't a cure we can individually enact other than self-soothing. Humans are not equipped to deal with broken communities, technology that isolates us, and a world that only talks about jobs/money/success and never about our true needs for connection. Something, there is nothing we can do. We must bear this era of disconnection, do our best to deal with what we have, and know that it's ok to feel lonely and disturbed. We're all sick.
