There's literally a scene in the movie where Eddie and the symbiote knock a guy unconscious and steal his clothes because Eddie isn't dressed well enough to get into a casino. smh
two things that made Eddy Brock and Venom work so well together in the comics, were the fact that both were evil and both had a common enemy (Spider-man) which they had a shared aversion to. Take away these 2 elements and you get this trilogi.
Its criminal that those asshats at sony have control over these great characters In the originnal 90s comics venom was terryfying He was unbeatable Now hes a joke And they have crapped on hardys career aswell
Look I'm not prepared to disagree with you, I personally liked the first movie and the second was meh. Are they good? Nah, they're not. But would Marvel do any better? There's no studios RN that will do well with Venom
They spent so much time on that road trip they had to force the story along by having the characters make dumb choices like venom dancing. Then that dad encouraging his family to break into area 51 was so poorly written. It was like the writing for an old Saturday morning cartoon.
That is a very sad statement, and I can't say it's at all wrong. I _have_ thought about how good, skilled actors have been getting bad scripts and direction, especially in legacy franchises, but I haven't thought about how much of their physicality they're wasting their time on. When they're older, they won't be capable of the same physical stunts as they are now, so their time would be better spent on more physically-demanding roles, while they're capable of pulling them off. But that's not happening. Actors aren't being chosen for movies and TV shows for their abilities right now, they're being chosen for the boxes they check off. This means their abilities remain unused, especially when they're given bad direction. Case in point, Daisy Ridley: Seeing her in _Murder On The Orient Express_ was like watching a completely different person than watching her as Rey, and all of that was simply because the script and direction she had as Rey was awful. Ridley is a _good_ actor, she just needs to get _good_ material.
Same with the video game industry. Think of all the workers that have to crush deadlines to make shit games like Concord that shut down within a week of release
All isn't well exactly. I had a couple health-related setbacks this summer, which slowed me down. And that problem hasn't gone away, it's just gotten easier to deal with since the heat/humidity cooled off. Also, I've had a pest problem (bees) in my apartment for the last few weeks that made it really difficult to get anything done. I think that's been resolved at least, so I can hopefully get back on schedule now.
I guess in all those millions of years Venom was the only symbiote who brought his host back to life. Youd think Riot would have been panicking when he saw that happened.
What I don't understand is why they made the choice to make Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote quipping goofballs. I don't know if this is a post modern invention from the comics but the Venom I'm familiar with is a darker, more violent character seething with rage and anger.
Venom 3 and even the Joker 2 is a an example of how studios over do small details in a original that were fun in small doses, but in sequels over exaggerate and distort things until its horrible. Its similar to knowing a quiet person who may have a funny laugh if you make them laugh hard enough. That's fun in small doses. Now bump it up to that funny laugh being exaggerated and overused at everything, and it goes from fun to repulsive.
Weird Al version of Venom. As a kid reading comics the only villain that make me sit on the edge of my chair because he scared the shit out of me. I was seriously concerned that he actually could best and even kill Spiderman. This Venom doesn't come close to that.
I have no goddamn idea how you can introduce Knull into a Venom film and have him feel out of place. The funniest thing in my mind is Knull screaming "YOU WILL WATCH THE KING IN BLACK" to an empty fucking theater
What I'm wondering is why introduce Knull, have him do exactly nothing and then tease that he might do something in the future... when this is the last movie? Is Knull going to be a surprise villain in that Kraven movie? Because that sounds kind of silly.
So thanks to UA-cam hating me, I have rewrite my comment again....thanks UA-cam glitches. Regardless, Knull's presence in this film is my biggest issue right off the bat. Moving aside what Thorias says about Knull doing jack shit in this film, its just such a lazy cop out for him to be the final antagonist. Now from the meta perspective of Knull being the symbiote god, it does make sense on paper for him to be the final antagonist of a Venom trilogy or TV series. The issue that arises however is two fold. Firstly, because this Venom is such a street level character, there is no conceivable way you can make him go up against Knull, in the comics, the Venom symbiote is explicitly more powerful than most others, so its more believable for Eddie to be able to go up against Knull there than in this films. But the second is Knull is literally only here, because he needs to be for the story to happen. Knull has no personal reasoning or explanation for why he's doing the things that he does. It's just what needs to happen because the story says so. Knull is just too significant in the context of Venom and the symbiotes to be plopped on as the final villain, he needs build up, character moments, something that makes us feel his presence as THE final threat, which is completely absent. To me Knull is the avatar of why Sony's Spiderverse failed, these films are made because otherwise Sony loses their grasp on these characters, not because there's stories they want to tell with these characters. Knull, Matt Smith, Riot, Ezikiel Simmons and even Carnage are also such basic villains that are simply there to create conflict, not because they deserve to be here
The moment they teased Knull I knew he would either be nerfed to hell and back or barely be in the movie. He is literally capable of killin a celestial, so how the hell this version of Venom, who is insanely weak compared to his comic counterpart, is expected to stand a chance is beyond me.
Its been painfully obvious to me from the jump that the tom hardy venom movies were written for little kids. Why else do you think venom suddenly wanted a dance party? Something that little kids will randomly decide they want or are doing at any given random time, because they have no concept of the separation of fantasy and reality. These movies were written exactly for that mindset. Not for someone that actually knows the lore.
I like how the excuse ‘it was made for very little kids’ is used for badly produced/written films or TV shows. Even when I was a (not little) kid, I understood when something was bad or cheesy or half-assed.
For ME, it's The CHARACTER. Eddie is a STRAIGHT UP BIOTCH. Venom is a STRAIGHT UP BIOTCH. WHY is Dude ALWAYS Sweating? He STILL HASN'T gotten COMFORTABLE Being in the SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP YET?…..And YES, BOTH are IDIOTS. There's NOTHING, AND NEVER HAD BEEN ANYTHING REMOTELY RESEMBLING THE ACTUAL CHARACTER.
You forgot about Hypno-Hustler. From Variety: "Donald Glover to Star in and Produce Sony-Marvel Film About Spider-Man Villain Hypno-Hustler". Oh no, Thorias, this will not end.....this will NEVER end.

While it’s a Fun Popcorn Film, I can’t let go on how Sony Wasted an Opportunity to put Venom with Spider-Man and how they got the Symbiotes Completely Wrong.
So does this mean we can all collectively come together and demand Sony to keep Avi Arad far away from Venom from now on? Also did Thorias’s hair turn grayer than I remember? Or am I tripping?
I truly wish they had Venom how he is in the old comics or like Spider-Man tas and Spectacular Spider-Man, and at least have connection to Spider-Man. Which is why I never cared or liked the first two Venom films. Don't get me wrong, and anti-hero Venom can easily work, but I do wish he started as a villain first.
IIRC: The scientist didn't do shit until she broke some container in the finale and had a symbiote of her own for a couple of seconds. IIRC2: The twoheaded guy was two symbiotes and two dudes that merged for some reason... As for why Venom 3 seems to be better - my money is on how that movie was shot. It's as dumb as the previous ones, but it looks way better. First - they reduced the amount of night scenes. There's actually a lot of Venom during the day. As for the actual night scenes, they are better lit and more creative instead of showing grey goo swirling around black goo (first Venom final fight).
So what happens to Venom now? Does he get embedded into the MCU? Because that to me feels like going from the frying pan and straight into the fire. I used to think it was cool when new characters joined the MCU... then it turned into a parody of itself and lost what momentum it had built up. Oh well.
The only thing that made sense to me about this is that someone at the studio must have said, "Hey, people really like those Deadpool movies and this seems like something Deadpool would do, so..."
I still like Venom 1 and 2 more... even than Carnage's character wasn't done right in the second one. Just seeing him and the Final Fight was worth it, but wish it was more faithful. Though Venom has always been more or less a goofy since his debut, but his angry, rage, and scariness was directed at Spider-Man. When there's no Spider-Man, he's pretty chill. Heck, I still remember the PS1 Spider-Man game where Venom is goofy like going "The Venom Marathon continues on the Biggest TV in New York!", "Ooh... are we going to... surf the web?" and "Oh! Oh! I know, I know! Um... the Sub-Mariner?", "Hey wanna race? Parker hates it when I get the drop on him", "Bummer, you're in the doghouse now dude", and "Jeez! One little mistake, we said we were sorry!" to name a few quotes. And these are based off the Spider-Man: The Animated Series from the 90's. Even when Venom was chasing after Spider-Man, in a Trunk honking at him. Venom has had silly moments in the past. Venom 3? I wasn't feeling it... even from the trailers it didn't seem exciting. Really poor sendoff for the character. Though seeing the mid and post-credit scenes... ugh. What can't we get the characters are close to faithful as possible nowadays? Amazing how older movies did it better with limited technology.
So I read Spider-Man during the black costume era. I was disappointed they went back to the original costume. But if you’re going to make movies about venom, he should be the scariest SOB on the planet. Because he can sneak up on Spider-Man and Spider-Man’s spider sense is useless. He can literally be hiding in the shadow behind Spider-Man due to the way his powers work. He doesn’t just wanna kill Spider-Man. He wants to make him suffer. Kind of like a version of the Joker that can rip your arms off and beat you with them. And once you make 1 million different Symbiot anything that was special about venom is gone. You can’t endlessly replicate the same character and expect it to be any good.
I watch the 1st film and instantly forgot it. I'm surprise it got a fanbase I feel like Venom being a cool goop monster. I bet if morbius and venom switched scripts the Venom films would still have the same fanbase
I really dont know who asked for this, but whatever ... actually there is so many movies and tv shows lately that can be described on that word ... whatever. And they are usually superhero related. Kinda sad that something that used to be so fantastic is now just ... whatever. I guess that Syndrome was right.
Hmm..If i am guessing The end right.. Eddie And symbiote might die? However there STILL MIGHT Be a symbiote movies.. with a FEMALE main hero/symbiote. Heck.SILVER SABLE might get a symbiote
There was something about the interaction between Brock and Venom, then a realised what it was. It's an over the top version of the interaction between Grainger and The Wind Oh Dear God.. PLEASE, Holywood.. keep your hands off The Hooded Swan series.
Can we just have Bully Maguire but all the time? What I want to see out of Venom is a version of Spiderman where he tamed the symbiote and they do normal hero stuff. I never read the comics so when the Sam Raimi Spiderman got the symbiote suit I had no idea what was going on but I loathed how that movie turned out
The first one wasn't good. I didn't think it was horrible like forbids or madame web but it wasn't good. 2 was definitely bad. I haven't seen 3 but the trailer looked horrible
Please get real. All the venom movies were crap. Not just this one. It's so cartoonish, might as well call it, The Mask : Venom Symbiote. Num num num I'll eat your head! - woooow, so scary. cgi monster eats a persons head. Never seen that before! let's base a whole franchise around this! Don't know who's bright idea was to have Eddie Brock to be super meek, then higher a tough guy type actor? Please make it make sense. Why can't the guys who directed and wrote Sicario do Venom? Why are we always stuck with these family friendly pseudo-nerds and/or the nerd fanbase weighing in with goofy ideas in the writers room? Get me the people who did Netlix's Daredevil.
I'm not going to comment on the irony of this rant existing and you seemingly treating "nerds" like you're in a mid 2000s kids movie. Even if I agree with your point.
I havent seen any of the Venom movies, just not a fan of the character, and no spiderman in them was a deal breaker. Sorry you had to sit through them, but I appreciate the sacrifice! Genuinely laughed out loud when the Silver Sable thing popped up on screen, did not see that coming (should have after all the pitch meetings Ive seen), but that was perfect comedic timing, something the Venom producers could learn from? Hope you find something to enjoy watching soon!
"Obnoxious, awkward, stupid". ..LMAO... OMG, I need to watch the movies again. Honestly, I only saw the first one. I don't recall hating it--But, I can't remember ANYTHING about it. Now, I'm obsessed with watching them just to see if they're just that bad. LOL
Joker 2 musical...Venom, dance scene ...Agatha singing and kinda dancing, oh boy....I hope we see Superman and friends dancing and singing in the new movie!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, i had an angry moment while pushing out a clogged turd on the can
The first one is kinda decent. But I've hated all the goofy jokes and scenes these movies have. I don't want to see Venon making breaking with 9 arms and making a mess and spraying Eddie with ketchup. That is just stupid AF.
Thank you! I have never been a fan of Knull! I know its a hot take i do like his design, but i never liked all the constant lore they kept adding to the symbiotes. Sucks that bot only has this character ruined this movie but imo Spider-Man 2 also
This thing is supposedly making bank overseas, so I expect to see more of this version of Venom regardless of what they say about this being the last one.
I love Venon and Eddie from these movies. Tbh its what keeps them going but man this 3rd movie was all over the place. Fun? Yes for who who liked the first or even 2nd, had bigger issues with the 2nd mivie with carnage mostly esepcially with out they treated such a big charcater. . But this movie was all over for me. Moments i liked and moments i was scratching my head and was like what????? Also i did not like how my boy Toxin went down like that? It was just a weird movie is all. Felt off. 😂
There was only 2 things I liked out of these trilogy of space trash and that is Venom's design and Eminem's song(Venom). Sony really wanted us to know just how unworthy they were of these characters and Madam Web, Venom, Kraven The Model proves all of that.
Knew this was garbage when I saw the horse in the trailer, thanks for doing this for us! Thought it would be cool if it was a multiverse movie like The flash or multiverse of madness or venomverse. That I would go see
Always looking forward to a Thorias Unlimited review of a Venom film......certainly more so than the films themselves since they are actually entertaining.....
I had no idea they made a third one. Since the first one was so uninspiring I decided to not watch the second one. I guess they must've been popular if they made three.
The first movie was okay, though as a fan of the venom comics I realised how far from the character of Eddie Brock was by Tom Hardy, but I tried to overlook it. Guess they didn't learn anything for the third film
I thought the first was ok enough for me not to hate my life for watching it, but not good enough to watch it again or any sequels. Just popping this in for the algorithm.
This version of Venom is so unfaithful to the character that he can't even shape-shift into clothing, one of the most basic symbiote powers.
that is only a small part of that unfaithness of this character
Exactly 💯

Somehow I don't think _Kraven the Not-Really-Hunter_ will manage to perform as well as this mess.
Excellent Review and analysis
Hail Thorias 🔥
There was something about the interaction between Brock and Venom, then a realised what it was. It's an over the top version of the interaction between Grainger and The Wind
Oh Dear God.. PLEASE, Holywood.. keep your hands off The Hooded Swan series.
Nothing happenin is preferable to something happening. Modern movies in a nutshell. Love you thorias
I said once and I'm saying again the only time we seen Venom in a real life action movie was Spider-Man 3.
this isn't Eddie Brock Nor Venom
Can we just have Bully Maguire but all the time? What I want to see out of Venom is a version of Spiderman where he tamed the symbiote and they do normal hero stuff. I never read the comics so when the Sam Raimi Spiderman got the symbiote suit I had no idea what was going on but I loathed how that movie turned out
The first one wasn't good. I didn't think it was horrible like forbids or madame web but it wasn't good. 2 was definitely bad. I haven't seen 3 but the trailer looked horrible
Morbius i meant. Auto correct 😑
Especially after pt2 I was fvcking done. Wont even waste time wit pt3. Even the trailer.
Thanks
Thanks for watching.
The worst superhero movie villains of all time are the ones from "Dark Phoenix."
Always loved venom as a kid; these movies don’t do him justice sorry 🤷🏼♀️
The 2 headed symbiote was the result of 2 symbiotes combining with 1 human host.
So im guessing in this Idiocracy timeline this make 2 billion!?
YES. 💯 🤘🏾
Looking at Demigah's video. It's a good thing they actually didn't use Noel in the movie. He is basically far more powerful than Thanos.
LOL
no the 2 headed one was 2 of them combined LOL man u fell asleep alot LOLOL
I still have no idea how they managed to squeeze a trilogy out of this.
Joker 2 musical...Venom, dance scene ...Agatha singing and kinda dancing, oh boy....I hope we see Superman and friends dancing and singing in the new movie!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, i had an angry moment while pushing out a clogged turd on the can
I read they cut out a scene on the symbiote's home world. Something about a Tupperware party with the female symbiotes.
The first one is kinda decent.
But I've hated all the goofy jokes and scenes these movies have. I don't want to see Venon making breaking with 9 arms and making a mess and spraying Eddie with ketchup. That is just stupid AF.
Todd McFarlane would be pleased at how this ends.
"They actually made 3 of these things huh?" Don't ever change Thorias 😄
Honestly I really liked the first two but it’s whatever, but I mostly agree with your opinion on this movie. The doctors backstory was so boring.
Count me in on a Thorias Unlimited dance party. Yo.
It's finally over, soldier 😹🫡 No more silly Venom movies !!
I liked the first. Though the next two are not interesting. And I agree with the critiques of the first
I love Venon and Eddie from these movies.
I thought the movie was okay
I hated the humor
But I really liked the scenes with the little boy and lasher
I thought the 3rd movie was the worst. I agree with everything you said.
Best thing about this movie is the Popcorn Bucket
been waiting on you…. Delicious
Sony needs to sell the rights back to Marvel at this point 🤦🏾♂️
I wish they would! They clearly have no ideas of their own.
When I saw Rhys Ifans show up, I was hoping he was the Lizard
the best thing about this movie is that it ends
My pleasure to give you your first like in this vid lel.
