I think it's a set up / surrender of Sony to Marvel. The future sight might happen sometime soon. I hope they can invorporate it in Marvel projects. The movie was fun and I'm happy they did not unleash Knull because it would give the character unimagineable injustice.
Well I heard all of them are bad ,and not worth money especially this one. Don't be the problem because of idiots they keep making money on worthless movies. Demand better for yourself. Don't be a lemming.
Imagine: Sony sells to Marvel. We get a proper Morbius as a horror villain story and he fights Spider-Man. He's too strong for Spider-Man, and the Black Cat won't let Spider-Man kill Morbius because she loves him. Blade shows up to help. Together they help Morbius control his thurst and together, Morbius and Blade start the Midnight Suns. It would be amazing to see Spider-Man tempted by someone like the Black Cat and how complicated their relationship would be. This is BY FAR one of my favorite stories from the Animated series.
The thought of Venom saying, "We hate the multiverse." is very interesting and potentially ironic. It's being reported that Tom Hardy wants Venom to fight Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Well, if he "hates the multiverse" then how is that going to happen? The only way it could happen is if Venom's new host makes their way back to Eddie and he somehow shows up in either the multiversal MCU Spider-Man 4, or Avengers Secret Wars. So, it'll be interesting to see how all this plays out.
I think you read that scene wrong with the symbiote bit in the Spiderman movie. Venom left behind a bit of himself in the Marvel universe then he got sucked back into the Sonyverse, where he left behind another bit of himself. That's the bit that got captured. The bit of himself in the Marvel universe is still there
You have to admit that having your main character be a digital one means that anyone can "play" him as long as the voice is done well, aka it's an infinite cash-cow not bound to an actor. I'm really disappointed that Venom didn't jump into the MUC. SONY is so damn disappointing, I wish they go bankrupt if they keep this up.
Literally had a man fall asleep snoring next to me on the opening show of my local theaters imax he was awake for 30 mins of the film at most speaks to how bad it really was
I feel like you missed that the Venom Trilogy is a Vemon/Eddie love story. They released the first movie on DVD on Valentine’s Day with a trailer that made it look straight romantic movie. The series is just better if you watch it as a messy rom com.
Just got out of seeing Venom 3. I felt VERY underwhelmed. Like, they HAD the chance. There was good moments ... But overall, it was wasted opportunity 🤦🤦
I"m officially a fan of ScreenCrush, he got so real and I completely agree with his stance on Sony with these properties. I literally said similar words on how disrespectful feels to make these movies this bad. Sony used Marvel to bolster their own IP's and since they some how haven't been sued yet for false marketing in their trailers they continue to bait fans on the premise that all our theories and hopes that its all connected will keep bring us to the theaters even if its simply out of curiosity. Companies using beloved IP's like this is heartbreaking and is a slap to all the passionate artist and story tellers that have inspired generations.
If I understand it correctly, the deal that was made when Sony purchased Spider-Man is that they have to release a movie every 5 years or the rights to Spider-Man (and all of his universe) revert back to Marvel. If that is correct, THAT is why we keep getting horrible movies. Spider-Man is a cash cow and Sony will get every penny they can from Spider-Man before selling him back for a kings ransom or they’ll make everyone so completely sick of Spider-Man and his universe that even Marvel won’t be able to use him because no one will want to see him anymore.
Marvel mistake was selling Spider-Man to Sony in the beginning but if there's a way to legally return it back to them then best of luck without letting Sony eventually destroy their MCU Multiverse franchise before it's too late for them.
I’m annoyed by these “why does Sony keep doing this” questions, when it’s obvious. Every single movie, regardless of how bad they are, brings in revenue that Sony can claim as added value to these characters they own. This is why we haven’t really seen Venom in the MCU. Look They clearly made a Madam Web movie because the MCU is in the Multiverse Saga, which may have been a character that the MCU could’ve used to expand the saga within a Spidey story. They made Morbius knowing the MCU was working on a Blade movie. They made a Kraven movie knowing that everyone wanted to see him in the next spider man movie. And they took Vulture and bundled him in with Morbius thinking they could capitalize on the work the MCU did already.
Dear Sony... please, for the love of everything comic book STOP MAKING MOVIES!!!!! You made your money off of Hardy, and now you can make even more by selling to Marvel/Disney. I hate you Sony. in response to your remarks at 14:05 i do agree that those scenes are the first enjoyable ones in the film but even still the transition into that scene feels like it comes completely out of nowhere, it's just suddenly venom respects him for literally no reason at all and it infuriates me to this day that they wont release an extended cut because i am positive that this development was left on the cutting room floor. it's like they couldn't decide if they wanted to make guardians of the galaxy or man of steel.
I’ve enjoyed the Venom movies. I know from reviews that Knull isn’t as present, but it sets up Knull is a bigger villain. I enjoy the Venom movies humor.
It sounds like the fundamental problem with this movie is the same problem a lot of modern superhero movies have: lacking a good central story that stands on its own without relying on its connections to other properties to generate excitement. Part of that has to do with what Matt said about the writers being creatively limited with what they can do. The other part is executives taking away all the wrong lessons from the MCU and why it worked. Audiences didn't come to love Tony Stark because of brand recognition, but because he was a well-written character in good, meaningful stories.
I'm torn because Sony's live-action spider-man-less films are a flagrant attempt to maintain rights to the franchise. But for that reason we also get the Spider-Verse Cartoons. In a perfect world Sony would give up on live action drivel and just make quality animated Spider-Man films, which are not shackled to the MCU
@@onrimotiondesign I work in mergers and acquisitions. There are asset and stock acquisitions. When you acquire companies in a stock acquisition you get the whole company, balance sheet, liabilities, etc. Asset acquisition is just the contracts and projects. They could give Lord and Miller free rein to complete the 3 installment and cut the rest of the Sony projects. I’d assume that would be the route they’d take

But there’s a chance after TASM2 failing, that they don’t figure it out by 2017.
Sony just make movies so they can make people hate these beloved characters 😭
I think it's a set up / surrender of Sony to Marvel. The future sight might happen sometime soon. I hope they can invorporate it in Marvel projects. The movie was fun and I'm happy they did not unleash Knull because it would give the character unimagineable injustice.
Joke: the reason why chiwetel characyer is so inconsostant is because half the time he is mordo dreamwalking xD
Venom without Spiderman makes absolute cents....i mean, sense.
Heard this is the best Sony supervillain movie tho
Well I heard all of them are bad ,and not worth money especially this one. Don't be the problem because of idiots they keep making money on worthless movies. Demand better for yourself. Don't be a lemming.
It’s not better than the first movie.
That "We are Venom" bit makes me cringe every time.
Topher Grace’s Venom is actually better, because they perfectly match each other’s personalities!!!
Hey, he was better than I remember, when I watched that again! It was an odd take, but he was nailing what they gave him, I think.
Let’s just accept that the entire Venom series has been *_JUNK_*
Someone put Sony in a corner!
Imagine:
Sony sells to Marvel.
Payne said Cockroaches are indestructible, and the final scene had a cockroach approach a broken vial. So that means the Venom will come again.
DORKS
They copy and paste the ending of Thor Love and Thunder when Zise was talking at the end. In fact, they did Thanos that way
Literally had a man fall asleep snoring next to me on the opening show of my local theaters imax he was awake for 30 mins of the film at most speaks to how bad it really was
I feel like you missed that the Venom Trilogy is a Vemon/Eddie love story.
Sony is so Fing downgrading our taste on super/antihero movies nowadays smh
If I understand it correctly, the deal that was made when Sony purchased Spider-Man is that they have to release a movie every 5 years or the rights to Spider-Man (and all of his universe) revert back to Marvel. If that is correct, THAT is why we keep getting horrible movies. Spider-Man is a cash cow and Sony will get every penny they can from Spider-Man before selling him back for a kings ransom or they’ll make everyone so completely sick of Spider-Man and his universe that even Marvel won’t be able to use him because no one will want to see him anymore.
i actually wasn’t upset with this film, they actually played it pretty safe and didn’t commit any crimes against the sacred timeline
Marvel mistake was selling Spider-Man to Sony in the beginning but if there's a way to legally return it back to them then best of luck without letting Sony eventually destroy
their MCU Multiverse franchise before it's too late for them.
Nah people hating on this i think it's better than venom 2 tbh
Been a long time since a watched a video of your guys im a big fan .
When you've lost Ryan, you've messed up
Dear Sony... please, for the love of everything comic book STOP MAKING MOVIES!!!!! You made your money off of Hardy, and now you can make even more by selling to Marvel/Disney. I hate you Sony. I used to love your technology but your awful movie production has made me a hater. Fans, we need to boycott Sony movies to save them from themselves.
i didn’t see that capturing of the bar goo as a retcon, why does that mean there is no goo in 616? the only retcon was eddie going thru a knull portal to return to his world rather than fading away like the villains did when they returned via stranges spell
Las del venoso son mejores que las de Tom holland spiderman
in response to your remarks at 14:05 i do agree that those scenes are the first enjoyable ones in the film but even still the transition into that scene feels like it comes completely out of nowhere, it's just suddenly venom respects him for literally no reason at all and it infuriates me to this day that they wont release an extended cut because i am positive that this development was left on the cutting room floor. it's like they couldn't decide if they wanted to make guardians of the galaxy or man of steel.
This Venom movie was pretty good I can't lie.. my wife isn't into marvel stuff but she told me she wants to watch this again. We had a fun time.
Thank you for telling me that Eddie dies without telling me that Eddie dies. Spolier Alert Much?
Eddie doesn’t die.
Spoiler.
The best thing that Sony can do for Venom is sell him back to Marvel. We Venom fans deserve so much better!
The best thing for Sony is to reboot and do a Spiderman universe again
@@onrimotiondesign I work in mergers and acquisitions. There are asset and stock acquisitions. When you acquire companies in a stock acquisition you get the whole company, balance sheet, liabilities, etc.
Asset acquisition is just the contracts and projects. It’s even up to you whether you retain the people. Disney could reacquire the Spider-Man rights. It would be an asset deal. They could give Lord and Miller free rein to complete the 3 installment and cut the rest of the Sony projects.
I’d assume that would be the route they’d take
@@ibrahimramzaan Nah, best thing for Sony to do is to stop. Let Disney/Marvel do all the work, lease the spider-man characters to them and just collect a paycheck.
I love how I got an ad for Venom: The Last Dance while watching this video.
I just got out of seeing this and all I can say is that movie is such a boring disappointment and that you should save your money and just not watch it.
The biggest crime of this series is the characterization of venom.
Not going To go see if screencrush say it sucks it sucks
I just saw it with this video in mind and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, i thought it was super fun, see for yourself and then cast judgement brotha
How much does venom weigh? Does he add to Eddie’s weight. Is he heavier when he transforms to full venom?
Soooo… did you like it?
Bashing Venom 3 after vehemently defending The Acolyte is nasty work LOL.
I hate the we are venom part
Haven’t seen any of the venom movies 😂 not even mad about it. I hate Sony Cinema
