RA3 right now: allies are too strong, but this is balanced because the best 1v1 player in the game never plays allies.
Everyone says Allies are too strong, but maps with lots of water seem to favor Empire players more. Striker/Tangu clouds and Tsunami tank spam seem to be really strong.
Too true. I would say if every player makes 0 mistake that the only wining faction will be allies.
i think allies is pretty weak if you don't know how to play it properly
@@sorakuzunoha108 Every faction is weak if managed poorly. Allies is op because it has some sharp tactics which are very difficult to counter. I have to make it clear. It's not the combo. Not cryo copter or cryo blast. It's the tactics and timing capability that makes allies so broken. If done properly, you don't even need micro. Nowadays people just don't utilize it as the tops did before.

Well, Dimon is always a favorite player since I started watching this channel, so it's not surprising to me at all. We love that guy. So I don't think it's accidental bias. People just expect Dimon to win because he's great at the game, so if he didn't win, it's not weird for the other end to be disappointed when he didn't win.
These games were absolutely incredible!
The saddest moment is when you hear:"this is Sybert signing out"
in the end, Dimon is a sick sick guy
Gives his opponent a glimpse of victory
Then brutally comes back in a 4wins in a row fashion
But Pika too is brutal, really made dimon sweat for sure, i really want to see pika beat dimon soon.
This is a 10/10 game, absolutely satisfying.

This game is really unbelivable. On the 3rd game i wondered Dimon would never comeback, but its still enjoyable to watch this game, so i would do it anyway. Despite that Dimon made gameturn and i have no any words for this shit. those two guys are trully amazing

As a Dimon simp, I felt sad for Pika at 6th match. After all top players are just human like us :(
I just love seeing matches on Cabana Republic, so I felt a little bummer.
But I got compensated by an extremely unexpected and thrilling Snow Plow, and a good Infinity Isle, and a tryhard Dimon who came back from 0 - 3.
some of the best ra3 games I've seen, amazing stuff
Its honestly pretty incredible how Dimon can alternate between playing Soviets and Empire on that level, considering how fundamentally different the factions are. How well he protected his water expansion on Snowplow from the constant riptides, how he used the Striker VX's both to patrol the map on Industrial Strength as well as to catch the occasional Appolo fighter, how he distracted his opponent to clear out the garrisoned structures... Just wow.
Especially the 4th game on Industrial was a pure joy to watch with how well Dimon played to Empire's strong points... But as a longtime E player, it also felt a bit sad, as i probably won't be able to do it so cool anytime soon xD
Such amazing games. Watched it in one sitting. Your commentary is also extremely enjoyable.
The confusion, the desperation, and the disappointment when Pika just sold his MCV with no ability to build it again is killing me 😂
Despite all that, Pika is my favorite allied player and I think we should give him the title of drunk Dimon 2.0

When Pika is calm: he is the best alied player.
When Pika is tilted, then even Sybert can beat him.
Dimon has similar dynamic going, but not to that extreme and (possibly) alcohol related.
I'll take that. I'd be happy if I ever took a game off of Pika

As an SC2 player I dont really know whats going on but the Red Alert 3 is super fun to watch and the great casting makes the games so hype and exciting to watch. Amazing series game 3 and 4 especially were great to watch!
It's very dynamic with constant micro and harvester harasses, interesting to watch, yeah.
Combine good replays/VoDs with an action music set - and you get a good soup (just like Sybert does).
RA3 is more Starcraft-y than any other Command & Conquer game. It's an excellent game with a flavor all its own, although its single-player campaign is sorta "meh" IMO, especially if you're used to Blizzard stuff. Like Sybert says, it's clunky and weird sometimes, but that's also part of its charm. You should give it a try!

Pika demolished Dimon the first two games (escpecially two) but then he made a series of blunders and cheese moves (that I see a bit disrepctful to do them against Dimon) adn he just lost the initiative in game 3 onwards, he sat the whole 4th and 5th games down and didn't really assault Dimon on main base level, he just believes in doing army shave offs.
really enjoyed how these players going atypical faction players, with Dimon finally adapting the Navy prowess in Infinity Isle ( the best game of those)

that BO could work if the player doesn't forgot to deploy the prospector, I've pull it off at least once or twice in cabana 10+years ago, it's the riskiest of the risky things.
1 power, 1 AF in water away from the land, 2 Apollo straight to the empire base to delay any air units, 1 ref & deploy the harvester to tech up the AF, sell MCV and capture a oilrig to build 4-6 cryos right away and rally them all to the empire base, if any defVX was founded, gather 3 cryo to freeze it head on or find an angle to freeze power plants, then improvise, the amount of cryos in this short amount of time might send opponents into panic mode and start teching up or pumping defVX(if they decided to hording tengus on the ground ready to overwhelm apollos is the hardest thing to deal with, shrink them constantly), allies would have maybe 3 tengus away to lock every critical target down. including CY(don't target refs, focusing on production building, Mbay first). your ref will mostly got destroy by ground force, but as long as you can squeeze out a vindi you can pick all the production building out if the apollo keeps drones away from cryos.
you basically gambling in hope for the opponent to spend a bit to much on multi dojos ground force at the start

The last few games had me cheering like on a football match. I'm really glad to see empire prevailing against a clearly superior faction. If instead of pika, there was a more aggressive allied player, there would've been no contest in my opinion.
pika best allied player in the game, no doubt about it. Also bonus drinking game: take a shot every time someone complains about allies in this comment section!!. It really is about the players here
Kong is right when he says that Pica is the strongest player for the allies at the moment, Dimon himself also spoke about this.

@@Beziznub flode definitely a top player right now but he’s not active sadly. Still- when he’s online I can’t touch him. I can say the same about a few players who are older and would return to still play top level games. I’m just happy 4del is back- and 2 days ago I was observing live 4del vs vindies, was exciting to say the least and felt like 2012 :)

Yeah a lot of people have the Steam edition. Some people use EA app because of the Ultimate Collection.

Uprising has no multiplayer.
@@OneSybert There is an Upheaval mod that adds Uprising units to RA3. Maybe that's the way to add Uprising units in multiplayer.

I haven't heard of any, but if I get replays I'd probably take a look or if I knew when they were happening for RA2 I'd try and cast them.

S.H.R.I.N.K is Strong Homogenous Residual-Interactive Neutron Kinetic

There should be a balance mod for this game. Allies are just broken. Something like Mental omega for Ra2 (that was created for balance purpose)
@22:10 1 pp 2 refs 3 dojos (sold one) 2 engineers, burst drone, 6 soldiers....... and 3 walls is 10K
thats why he doesnt have the money for a 3rd ref or mechabay untill 1.5 minutes into the game when harvesters have collected about 13 runs together
thats when he pops his mecha and gets another rack and pp. if he didnt built 3 dojos with 2 engies and sold one, he wouldve gotten Mbay faster.
(he sold all 3 dojos off camera, one left, one right and one in base)
Still waiting for some sort of a universal community balance patch. ideas:
- longer windup time for cryogeddon
- nerf cryogeddon building 'damage'. buff time bomb building damage
- nerf shrink ray range or cooldown
- no more harvesters phasing through walls
You'd never get Allies to agree to that.
Harvesters going through walls I think most people are fine with.
Cryogeddon is just way too good. If Allies get to that point it's basically almost as good as any superweapon. I think a common suggestion to nerf cryo in general is to not make it insta-kill, but to make the unit take double damage.
@@OneSybert everything together is maybe a bit much, but allies do have to agree that certain elements of their faction are just overtuned now.
And the harvester thing just seems like a weird bug to me that needs fixing. If you box in your harvester it should remain boxed in. Sickles, tengus, cryo, neither faction cares that much about just walls. You should need to sell a wall segment if you want to evacuate a harvester...
you talk a lot about ragequitting in game 4 where nothing really worth of rage quitting happened. killed a dojo? so what? however amazing content sybert. I love it and I watch every second of it. Your commentary is entertaining and this to me is Liverpool vs Man City (soccer teams)
"Pik4a" is not a "Pika" actually but "pikcha" aka "picture", as "4" reads like "ch" in case of russian styling. He seems to be russian player as well. :)

A reverse sweep is *super* amazing normally, but it sort of felt like Pika lost on purpose, particularly on Cabana. Perhaps Pika started having some celebratory liquor after taking Dimon 3-0.

empire is just good in 1v1s especially if you start the match with 10k credits. its buildings and units are all more expensive

That's fairly common from what I hear. I definitely do that with all kinds of UA-cam videos.

But it's safe to say RA3 is not well-polished gameplay/mechanical-wise. The list starts with the pillar-glitch graphical bugs and goes on with various things depending on player PoVs on it. I have one of my own but don't think anyone would be actually interested in reading it here, that's not a topic of this thread anyway.
There’s a long list of things, but one obvious thing is sometimes when harvesters spawn in they don’t start collecting, they just drive off to the side and sit there. Then sometimes they’ll take a longer route because there’s either some problem with the terrain or some other issue that you can’t see. Even a minor delay to the harvester can lead to a big difference when you add it all up, 1 additional second for every trip for one of you harvesters could drop your economy by 10% through no fault of the player. There’s a ton of other stuff that can happen randomly as a result of a rushed production cycle that EA forced the developers into.

Think it's about the outdated CNC harvester AI aka the harv goes to its original ref no matter the distance, even if there's a new one right next to it. Anyway, unit pathfinding was always a weak spot of CNC (kinda same for StarCraft/BW workers).
Generally agreed on a tiny feeling of rawness of RA3, yet still, it's waaay better than CNC4 was...
I think it's fair to say that Allies are the Protoss of RA3.
Empire is Terran, Soviets are Zerg?
Not based on lore, but I think that's how the multiplayer actually works out.
@@OneSybert Other way around actually. Tengus are easy to amass and incredibly mobile around the map, kinda like zerglings, the high dps and glass cannon qualities of the striker vx reminds of hydralisks, and the tankiness and respectable dps of tsunami tanks reminds me of roaches.
And well, Soviets being a somewhat basic faction reminds me of terran.
Allies are for sure Protoss due to how good they are once they have all of their tech.

PikA's weakness is his lack of stamina. He clearly got tired after game 3.
if only dimon had stopped making tsunamis and vxes... the tengus were the way to go with some infantry.
pika had missle soldiers, cryos apollos and vindicators.... you cant bring tanks and vx choppers against that combo!
go low cost air units and low cost infantry so he cant use the full potential of his cryo+bombers and cryo+missile troopers.

For at least the last 2 years he's alternated between Soviets and Empire. I know when he was playing DDF a lot someone said he played Empire to avoid Soviet mirrors, not sure why he switches though.

@@Beziznub I also used to dislike dimon some time ago, when he made soviets seem like the strongest faction in the game, as his win rate seemed so high. But once I realised that actually allies are the most unbalanced faction, and that apart from dimon, most of the top players in RA3 play allies exclusively, dimon became the hero of the people.
@@Rbum4 ha ha yes there is, for beginners it is easier to play Soviet, I myself started playing Soviet, but then I realized that they are the weakest faction of all, only in the hands of pro players they seem to be strong
