Went on an overnight trip to Santa Rosa on Sunday with zero luck on seabass. Had an option to stay on for the next day but declined and of course the next day the boat catches 56 ghosts😂

So im from the texas gulf coast and we have flounder. My favorite fish to eat. But, we dont have halibut. Is there a taste difference between the two? Edit: congrats on the hellava day fishing.
I don't like the idea of using trap rigs for WSB. It makes sense for slow chewers like halibut but not for the ghost. The hot ticket for WSB down south are Hook Up plastic swimbaits.
