@@banditdawgs I used to hate playing against crimson until the recent flinch update(I'm on series x) I feel like I can actually challenge it straight up now without peak shooting using a 140 where as before shots became rng bullets while getting gunned by it😆

In regards to messenger, I used a rapid hit kill clip messenger for a long time in crucible. But, I recently switched to headseeker and lemme tell ya, having the “win now” perk over the win later perk has drastically increased the number of two taps I get on messenger.
I've had a MT headseaker roll tucked away that isn't stacked out with stability for this reason alone. I got mine out the other day and it definitely makes the 2 bursts more consistent
Hard agree that sidearms just don't feel right on MnK, but dang do they feel good on controller. I would put Rat King (only if you have the catalyst) and Traveller's Chosen pretty high on my list of favorite controller weapons.
Traveler's Chosen is easily one of my favorite controller weapons. It's so good now that shotties are so inconsistent now too. It has a place to use it even in high end PvP.
Idk man I don't have the catalyst on Rat but it's still a favorite of mine. The invis alone has saved kill streaks for me more times than I can count. Love that gun.
A thought: for hunters who want to run devil's ruin. Run mechaneer's tricksleeves and double sidearm reload for the same point blank laser spam as warlock with ophidian aspect and double sidearm loader. Also dont forget it only needs one bullet to laser so sidearm holster is your friend. Laser, stow, wait a sec then pull back out. It should have 1 or 2 bullets and then laser and repeat
I’m so glad a kept a good legal action pulse rifle. That thing is crispy and has a lot of range thanks to the 22 zoom having more range than a full range adept messager
When talking about the sidearms you chose, I totally get it. What has me scratching my head is how a gun like Traveler’s Chosen doesn’t get mentioned when it’s got such monster stats, feels so consistent, and helps restore abilities if you whiff a grenade or melee. Other than that one small point, great video and I’m loving the collab vids with Coolguy too! GG
This may just be me, but Eriana's Vow in controller has been absolutely wonderful for me. Tie in a primary with quick access sling, and you can damn near kill with a headshot and finish them with a quick swap burst.
I would add Traveler's Chosen to the side arms of choice for controller. Never really liked it on M&K, but then a few months later after moving to console I tried it out to amp an ability build I was working on and fell in love.
@@IdarwizzygoatI Hello brother. How do you feel about Tex Mechanica’s upcoming modifications to you? They’ve changed my closet slightly, but other than that, I’m still me.
I picked up Crimson early on in my d2 career and ive never swapped it out since, that easy heal is a boon in pve and pvp and if you can control the recoil well its TTK holds its own against Ace etc 🙊
This is actually really helpful. I switched to pc gaming a few years back and recently have had to go back to my Xbox cause my computer crapped out on me.
I do agree that sniping on MnK is god damn difficult. But with loads of practice, it starts to feel much better. The Beloved is the perfect sniper for the energy slot for both inputs. Certain sniper perks don't work as well on MnK too, such as Moving Target. Mine has Box Breathing for the guaranteed super shutdown and boosted range.
I don't know if you have done one in the past, but could you do a video on optimal controller settings? I always feel like default works best since that is how you start a game, but I'm seeing more people talk about their "outputs" and you are one of the few people that I trust. I use controller primarily for xbox, but I have a ps4 as well.
Great video as always I loved the pixelated editing. Only thing I really disagree with is multimach. To hit it's max range which isn't even that crazy anymore you have to sacrifice almost all of your stability. Funnel-web only hits half a meter shorter and gets to keep 30+ stability while doing it. At least on controller I think it absolutely destroys multimach.
That's what I usually just go with what I feel withe weapon. Usually when certain tune ups that Bungie makes with weapons makes players go all over for what are considered god rolls. Eventually things change, but certain perks are still very viable.
Thorn was my first exotic back in D1, got it during week 2 of release. It has been my favourite weapon ever since, I don’t care what kind of meta is dominant, I will always pick Thorn and be top of the lobby, or at least my team. It’s good to see a fellow Thorn enjoyer
i made a piece with elemental capacitor, polygonal rifling, stability mw, perp motion. Xbox Series X player. i think its 97 base stability on void subclass (which would then go over 100 with perp motion stacks, although I believe stats dont help past 100). Then put on full auto retrofit. melts. Only lacking a bit in range. The only thing I dont like is IMO full auto retrofit is required to get the most from the gun, which kind of makes it feel like a REALLY deadly burst AR. Not a pulse rifle. While thats fun in it's own right for a while, IMO it gets boring pretty fast. As someone who likes that traditional pulse rifle (something like syncopation 53 feels wonderful to me) feel it's a bummer that such an effective gun doesnt feel great to me.
I do have one thing I want to say: I am a MnK player I don't hate any weapon, even Last Word. I am firmly of the belief that if it's in the game, its 100% fair game to use. Bungie does their best to keep a balanced meta, there are now 3 sub-classes in the 3.0 family with the 4th not far away, and there are literally HUNDREDS of weapons in the game that one can experiment with to find their "home". I used to think that I had to chase the top of the top of the meta in order to become a better/passable player in PvP. I would quietly rage when opponents would kill me with the "hard counter" to the weapon I was currently failing with. Once I moved away from that and started looking at other weapons (thank you AscendantNomad for showing me one way to go), I stopped worrying about what other players would use and more on moving, landing shots, and experimenting with mods.
The cryothesia and devils ruin are some of my favorite sidearms, in both pvp and pve, forerunner is also a good option on controller but ofc it’s special vs primary
Devil's Ruin sustained blast needs to be nerfed into the ground. Luckily UA-camrs haven't been spreading the holy gospel on it, but that shit melts way too fast and if they do...it's going to get nerfed.
At 13:00 you recommend the weighted knife but personally I recommend the lightweight knife. It will still 1 hit anyone to the body doing 206ish damage and not only is the knife instant it has better tracking then the weighted knife. Genuine fun to go around snaking kids with knives then a radiant 77k

I'll be real, since I just recently got Vex Mythoclast and I main a Warlock and play on control it honestly feels like the perfect storm. Vex can bend around corners and get kills...and with Rain of Fire boots on Warlock it becomes a monster with how much damage it deals and how versatile it can be. Been enjoying it on Solar 3.0 for sure but I've been loving it in contrast with using Stasis to control engagements way more.
I still remember the first cross save opened up do I hit pc to see how broken last word would be. Granted it was just recoil testing, but it felt so heavily broken on mouse. On controller I knew I had to combat looking up for 60% of my shot, but on pc I could bore out a hole easy. But ya back in the day, I paired LW eith Tone Patrol. Highly underrated back before scout rifle buffs. 150 and 210s have pushed 180s out but the sight and just "vibe" of the TP feels better then other archtypes for me.

I might be alone here but I still prefer my 5/5 Time-Worn Spire to my crafted Piece of Mind. I think it comes down to Iron Grip and the ability to roll scopes. Being able to swap to Rifle Scope ST for long range maps and the huge increase in zoom make this gun so flexible. Unfortunately, Bungie seems to be staying away from scope rolls these days and you can’t even get TWS anymore. If you have an Iron Grip TWS sitting in your vault, I recommend giving it a try, you might like it better than Piece of Mind.

Putting multimach in the list is weird to me. Yea sure it’s still good but it’s not great. With the zoom nerf the multimach is much less consistent at ranges. If you used to be a multimach main grind and get yourself an escape velocity it now has more range and much more stability which is a lot more important now.

As an Xbox player. My Favoeite try hard load out is no time , firmly plated successful warmup snorri , and a crafted bump in the night just to level it up in the back ground and I never pull heavy anyways
I got a stability masterwork, Zen Moment and Eye of the Storm on an uncrafted Austringer.
THe targeting mod on my helmet will be the cherry on top.
And I probably should infuse my Crimson yesterday
sacred provenance and the one from vow are good alts to rapid hit/kill clip messenger
Please I’m sorry sorry to ask this question but I’ve been on pc for a year from pre-gen Xbox and STILL haven’t really adjusted to my M&K is there ANY other videos you can make in regards to finding your M&K = From controller and console or is that too big of an ask? I’ve seen the M&K and controller vid by you but still have a had time going bakc and forth and it sucks because a majority of my dlc are on Xbox an the rest are on PC
3:50 "and veterans MnK players are maybe grunting & snarling a little bit..."
Heh hahahaha! i am an MnK player & Crimson is my favorite hand canon since the Curse of Osiris!
An Iconic Duo 🙌🏻🖤
Putting multimach in the list is weird to me. Yea sure it’s still good but it’s not great. With the zoom nerf the multimach is much less consistent at ranges. If you used to be a multimach main grind and get yourself an escape velocity it now has more range and much more stability which is a lot more important now.
I recently tried crimson after I got the catalyst and it’s probably my favorite right now
When you were talking about your settings for thorn I was curious what were they what was your ads and sensitivity? For controller
There better be an MnK video soon!
Cryo and Devil are the Sub Zero and Scorpion variations in the Destiny world haha
I like the Enyo-D alot it feels alot like the antiope from back in the day
I saw a really weird titan in twilight gap using a matador with tlw. It was hilarious to pick him off with my bow over and over
kinda surprised that no time missed the list. everyone and their mommas are using it
Side note about lord of wolves, in pve, pellet shotguns are getting a buff. Lord of wolves is a pellet shotgun...
