Everyone aligns when the organisation adopts a customer-centric mindset: Focus on understanding and addressing the needs and desires of your target audience, rather than solely promoting your products or services.
Embrace purpose and contribute positively: While marketing is often seen as a commercial pursuit, strive to use your skills and platforms to make a positive impact and improve people's lives.
Cultivate a strong brand identity: A brand is not just a logo. Develop a distinct brand voice, visual identity, and a set of values that resonate with your target audience, allowing you to stand out and build a loyal following.
Personalisation is a B2B superpower: Whilst in reality, little separates B2B and B2C marketers (ultimately we’re selling to people) - one nuance does exist. If we know who we want to reach, social media gives us an opportunity to capture our buyer’s attention. (I loved Joe’s example of marketing to e-commerce targets).
Prioritise communication and empathy: Establish open lines of communication with all stakeholders, including sales, finance, and customers, ensuring everyone understands and appreciates the value each function brings to the table.
