    Thank you for this! I like how you explained everything quickly and to the point. It makes it easier to understand how this works. I just bought one yesterday and I can confidently use it. I didn’t know what the dial on the back was. Now I know! Thanks!!

    Thanks for the great review! This just sold me on it! I work at a cabinet shop 10 hours a day 6 days a week and carrying around a hose all day tripping over it gets pretty annoying and this will easily solve that issue!

    Great video! I just got a replacement of the first stapler I purchased. The first one would not build pressure all the time. Misfired often. The new one has been changed. The air regulator is now a narrow adjustment handle and there is one other change which I forget. It works very well. You pointed out that if you don't let the stapler finish that the cylinder won't return fast and the error light blinks. Your analogy was correct because my new one did that and I thought something was wrong with it. I DID fail to let the staple complete the cycle to shoot it in. Testing it after watching your video and it works flawlessly now. Thank you for spending your time to make this video clip.

    I have the 18gu brad nailer and have used it to do crown and picture frame/chair in my girls' rooms, recessed panels in a hallway as well as hundreds of feet of baseboard and casing in my basement and in-laws house. It's a solid tool (and the battery charges in 30 min which is awesome) if you don't want the hassle of a compressor but it does have it's drawbacks:
    - As you mentioned the weight. Not the easiest tool to use overhead with crown especially if you work alone and have to support long lengths of trim.
    - It misfires a lot especially when you haven't fired in a while and the issue has gotten worse over time (mine is 15 mos old). For some reason you have to turn the pressure dial way down when you drive your first nail otherwise it will just shoot blanks over and over and it has enough kick that it will leave a dent.
    - It's kind of bulky which makes working in corners a pain. Usually don't get great contact and end up having to manually set nails in corners.
    Obviously not on par with a Passlode but at less than 1/2 the cost it's good option.

    I had a Ryobi brad nailer for 2 yeats, and fell in love with it. Now, I have just ordered a Ryoibi P361 "air stapler" and seriously, thinking of retiring the old brad nailer. Why? Two nails work better than one, is my only answer. Thanks for the clip.

    I like my Ryobi 18+ tools. I bought a set of 13 tools last Christmas.. gift to myself. It sure makes jobs a lot easier. I have enough charges and batteries that I don't have to stop to wait for a charge, or swap batteries back and forth. The only downside of Ryobi.. I've gotten 2 bad apples out of 13 tools. Home Depot replaced them with no problem at all. I purchase EVERYTHING there with my Home Depot card. It makes it so much easier to return or exchange.
    My brad nailer was one of the bummer tools. So I've been reticent to buy the crown stapler. Thanks for this review. I'll feel much better about adding that to my cabinet.

      Dominique These Greenish new Ryobi tools are so much better than the older blue models. This Air Strike stapler is great. I also have a drill now and that one has impressed me as well.
      You know, its that time of year again. You could go down to Home Depot and pick up some more Ryobi tools.....LOL!
      Have a great holiday and thanks for commenting.

      WorkshopAddict 12 years ago I bought a Ryobi drag along tool case with tools. It had a telescoping handle with a flip up 8 1/4" chop saw on top as well as drill, recip saw, flashlight, circular saw and rotary tool with 3 batteries. Was $400, on sale for $300 and had a 20% coupon. Was a steal. Some of the tools I have got were good, some bad. The battery caulk gun was nice along with the green impact driver. Planer broke first use and cost as much to fix as it was to buy.
      I always add to the system, got the 6-port charger with LION of all sizes.
      Thanks for the review.

    Great summary i own the 18vBrad Nailer and it is a big hit with me and others but may i suggest using the other Ryobi batteries the silver lithium ion they give longer run times the grey one you have loaded only give 20 percent better run time the silver offer 35 percent longer run times i believe so in other words you fire more staples on a charge the battery skill saw is also great .. still have not made up my mind on the stapler yet though.

      A steal at that price.

      I agree, why not make the staple or nail chamber detachable so it can be used on one gun. As I feel both guns are the same, only the loading chamber is different,Though I guess they wouldn't make money that way.lol

      I bought the brad nailer thinking it would do staples too because my air nailer takes both. Im sick of using my air compressor and worrying about the air hose

      They're not going to do it because they make more money selling it separately it can be done and it's been done with other brands but they're not going to do it they're going to keep them separate to make more money

    Ok review. I would suggest that you could have helped more of us if you focused the camera more on the staple pins, the sizes, and how to load them and shoot them. Finally, focusing the camera on the two pieces of wood that you stapled together so we can see how the staple pins the joint together. Anyway thanks for your time.

      ghe426 agreed on liking dewalt quality but don’t like the price difference! Dewalt is pricey! I’ve been buying a lot of ryobi stuff from directtooloutlet. A lot of referb/certified preowned, but the prices are crazy low. Thus far great luck on everything lasting. They have this stapler for $83.99

    • @huejanus5505

      Yes, but staples like these max out at 1.5 inches. Not always enough to go through the molding, gyproc and into the stud.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  9 років тому

      loc pham I don't know. I've never head of anyone using staples for a roof job. Even if you used it, it would be much slower than a roofing nailer. The compressor has to cycle for each staple.

    • @huejanus5505
      @huejanus5505 5 років тому

      No, the staples are too narrow and too thin. They'll also rust.

    Nice video, perhaps a bit TOO MUCH chatter. You could make it a LOT better if you also demonstrated loading, the effect of each depth adjustment, periodic maintenance, etc. Always assume your audience knows NOTHING about the product, so you should be teaching them along the way. These few changes will result in a superior video that helps everyone, no matter their level of competence.

  • @sticksandstones1885
    @sticksandstones1885 Рік тому

    🎯 there's no air compressor it's an electric motor the dial on the back does not increase air pressure it turns a spring. To change the depth of the staple going into the material it works similar to like a rubber band effect. 🤦
