We had that happen in VA. Father forgot the youngest in the car. Forgot to drop him off at daycare and went to work. They had quite a few kids (like 6 or so). The UK is also a highly developed and free country as well and although some people probably still use phones, text away etc whilst driving despite the laws against it, I am glad that they have at least passed a law imposing the illegality of talking on phones in addition to texting etc while driving. Traffic Police also regularly patrol highways (known as Motorways in the UK) looking for people using phones behind the wheel. I reckon that those who text and drive with the mentality that they will never get caught or involved in accident are the ones who often end up causing incidents.

It's never safe to leave your child in a scorching car no matter how old he or she is. "Suck it up" my foot! As you said, he's 11! No matter how old he is, you can't expect him to suck it up if he could have a major heat emergency! Anyone who does this kind of thing to any kid, no matter how big or old he or she is, should get executed!

When I was 8 I was running around in 100 degree weather for hours with no water and I suffered a heat stroke. I hope no one else ever has to suffer that pain. My heart broke for the kid when I saw the video.

So she drives when she is speaking on the phone and drives hands-free. In the UK that can result in instant disqualification! The easiest option would be to take the kid into the salon and wait in the waiting area!
Yeah...this is what I don't get either. Using a phone while driving and texting on one in the UK is illegal, not sure why it is allowed in other countries due to the same propensity for taking attention off the road and causing accidents. And on top of that, she nearly kills her kid by leaving him in a hot car. Sounds like she'd lose her driving licence, parental rights and her freedom all in the same day if she did this in our country.

@@vinaymulukutla358 Texting while driving is illegal in the US but people do it anyways and never get caught and it's a pain for a lot of people especially ones who get hit by the person whose texting and driving. Talking on the phone while driving in the US is ok to do but I don't like it but it's a free country which is better than having nothing.

I personally think it's messed up that people are allowed to use a phone in the US when driving but that's the law over there. The UK is also a highly developed and free country as well and although some people probably still use phones, text away etc whilst driving despite the laws against it, I am glad that they have at least passed a law imposing the illegality of talking on phones in addition to texting etc while driving.
Traffic Police also regularly patrol highways (known as Motorways in the UK) looking for people using phones behind the wheel.
I reckon that those who text and drive with the mentality that they will never get caught or involved in accident are the ones who often end up causing incidents.

I won't even leave my dog in the car in that kind of weather unless I have all the windows open. If I can park in the shade, it's even better.
That being said, there are only two stores where I'll do that. Both are small and I'm in and out quickly. It's basically just if I've forgotten something in a bigger store.
