I would have called the police on the lunch lady in the first story. As for second story, that’s literally illegal for an employer to discriminate like this. People like that make me sick. All student lunches should be free. I would quit on the spot if I had a boss like that.

This story was based off of real life a lady kept seeing kids at her school not have the supplies for their classes, or properly dressed and she even had supplies for the ladys, as well as lunch so she started a little store that had it all and she almost did get fired but the school board over ruled the principal and siad she stays and the even gave her a better place for the store type things as she did have it in her cleaning supplies room. In my secondary school, if your card declines they say, "no kid should every starve," and they will give you free food but you will need to pay the next day

My friend's daughter works for the school board as a luncheon cook. She feeds children all the time--even those less fortunate. She's been doing this for many years now.
The food is from the free gov stuff but the schools markets them on the side

My follow-up to the first video:
Gwen reluctantly complied with Principal Jones' new rule about giving free lunches to kids who couldn't pay. However, some of the children had used their phones to record Gwen's previous rants and leaked them online. Previously unaware of Gwen's authoritarian attitude, the Principal fired her. It took years for Gwen to find work again as the videos of her rants circulated far and wide, with many labelling her as "the Lunch Nazi", discouraging many establishments from hiring her.

The woman from the first story reminded me of a Gestapo officer.
More like a Kempeitai(Military Police of the Empire of Japan) soldier. Besides even if she were put in prison she'd be shunned by the other inmates and avoided like the plague because the other inmates are family-men or simply because they believe children are pure and deserve to be protected at all costs.

The actress was definitely having fun with her role as a psycho. Her character wouldn't last for 8 seconds in prison especially when the other inmates(who happen to be mothers and fathers themselves) will decide to get the drop on her.

I understand these are stories, but never the less, it does happen. I remember sometime ago when my son's classroom was going for a day trip and I was a parent helper. When I found out one child didn't have lunch, as we lived just a block away, I spoke with the teacher that I would make lunch for the little boy, in which the teacher sharply replayed, " no", let him learn. I was horrified that any adult would deny a child to be helped and not bother to find out later what was happening. I am glad to say that years later there was an out cry for the many children going hungry at schools exposed at a national level, by a reporter and the a member of the public started a feed program, which also layer helped on other areas, such as, providing shoes rain coats, the basic things.

I always feed the hungry kids in my neighborhood 😢 they know I love them and by feeding them and simply letting them that YOU KNOW THEY ARE THERE means a lot to them. I blame the parents where I'm living. Drinking and doing drugs not to mention choosing men over there kids is down right disgusting. Every child is guaranteed a breakfast or lunch even if they cannot afford it. We have free lunch and breakfast programs in schools. In new york state the school are required to issue lunch in breakfast. They can charge the parent at a later date.

I'm very grateful that I had healthy school lunch in north Taiwan, our school has the kitchen and $1.5 dollar per day is prepaid by our parents in the admission fee for the whole semester❤

The mean lady from the first story should have lost her job, so what if a kid is poor, poor doesn’t mean they should not be able too eat, food should not be earned, food is a necessity even if you are poor, and if you think differently you are either heartless or you don’t have feelings for others
Off the topic, but that should be the same for ALL basics of life, including healthcare AND housing! People shouldn't be forced to go without just because they're poor or can't afford these things. People's *lives* are on the line!!

Sadly some parents can't afford the school meals and they don't qualify for free school meals, so it's not always that easy. When mine were at school, a child missed meals often because his mum just couldn't afford it and she couldn't get free meals as she earned 20p over the cut-off limit for free meals so by middle of the month she struggled with money and even though she worked 4 jobs, after paying rent, council tax, utility bills and what food they could afford for the home there wasn't any left for school lunch or to buy extra for packed lunch so for two weeks every month her child sometimes missed lunch, it was a vicious circle where she struggled to make ends meet. I often added a little extra in my kids' lunch, just so the kid got a little something, I couldn't do it all the time but I did it when I could until they had to move away because they no longer could afford to live in their house 😢

I about predicted what the Tunisian cook was going to say at the end, but I also felt that adding treating poor & hungry students with respect would also be a nice thing, because perhaps even that principal might agree with the other principal from the 1st half of this video.
