This is the kind of person we need that work for the foster care system & I know that a lot of them are overworked but there really is no excuse that children are abused or even die because of neglect.

Wow. Now that foster mother is EXTREMELY lucky that she didn't get locked up or reported because when that other woman found her little boy in that condition, she very easily could have done either one of the two or both to her but she realized that the boy didn't want to be taken from her because she was the only family he knew. I hope she learned a major lesson from this.

Never leave a child in a car, especially in the heat, and expect him to be a big boy (or her to be a big girl), no matter his or her age. It's always more difficult than it sounds and is always too much to ask of any child, no matter how detail-less you make it sound.
Any foster child would be better back in the foster agency than left to swelter in the car, period.

Dog Mode allows you to set the temperature in the car, just like you'd set it at home, and the car will keep the interior of the vehicle at that temperature until you return. I would have love to have charged her with attempted murder. When you have the duty of fostering a child, you NEVER put the child's needs at the bottom of the list. Does this happen often? It's tragic,Is it really preventable? The mom still should've been reported.I feel bad for the kid.Shame on Debbie threatening to send him back in the system if he got out of the car, telling him to grow up and calling him a. Crybaby. If she'd take him inside on shopping, this whole situation never would've happened.

I don't believe in the foster system. This is one reason why. The foster system needs to be upgraded from a F to a A. These children need our help.

Omg this is sooo upsetting. I really can’t say more than just that. What a cruel foster mom who expects the kid to stay in the car as much as she wants him to?????
Does she not realize how health-threatening it could be to stay in the car?!?!
And I was like 😳😳 when I saw her just sitting out there with her tea 😠😠
That kind girl has helped her and I was so shocked when that mean foster mom asked her “why would you do that?”
when she was literally trying to SAVE HIS LIFE?!?!?!? 😱😱😱
Also, he “looked fine” JUST BECAUSE that girl saved him out of the hot car 😡

Seeing that reminds me of my childhood as an autistic individual. At age 6 in 1995, my parents bought a 1995 Ford Windstar, an old fashioned mini-van with only one sliding door on the right hand side of the second row, and I also had, and still have today, an older brother, who was 8 then, the second row for us had a separate pair of bucket seats, but he had the solid wall seat and I had the sliding door seat, so like our parents in the front row, he had a cupholder, two headphone slots, and a control panel referring to the headphone slots, but unfortunately, I had none of those when I needed them especially cupholders. Sure there were times when he shared the headphone slots and their control panel with me just for us to listen to music and read-along audiobooks, and our parents provided us a separate pair of headphones to listen to without having our parents hear what we listened to, and with his seat by the wall and mine by the door, his headphones had a short wire and mine had a long wire, LONG, just to reach one of those two slots, but cupholders was the real major issue, he and my parents had slots to put their pop cans and tea/coffee mugs into, but I had no slot at all for any of my cans, under no other choice, I had to hold my cans in my hands which was a much bigger challenge for a special needs child like me than a typical child like my brother, and even at times my brother refused to swap seats with me, and my parents refused to talk him into it as well, so complaining about not having what I needed just kept on going, and once, just from getting annoyed about what he was listening to, he stopped the van on the shoulder of a busy road, walked around to the sliding door, opened it up, unbuckled my seatbelt, and like a bully, forcefully yanked me out, shoved me down on the ground, and hit my butt as hard as he could, and it physically hurt very badly, which forced me to cry and be afraid of my own dad, there could have been an injury right there, and if a cop saw that, which unfortunately, there wasn't one, he would have handcuffed and arrested him for a combination of child neglect and child abuse against a helpless special needs child, and taken me and my brother to foster care, and many parents think hitting a child is discipline, but it isn't, it's a civil rights violation. It doesn't teach children to behave better, it only encourages them to keep on acting up on what's wrong with their situations, like my lack of cupholders because carrying a can in my hand like that can raise chances of spilling when trying to do what would take two hands, and even hurting my wrists too, so much that I just couldn't hold on for so long, and even at other times, never brought any drinks with me even if the other three did, causing me to go through unreasonable drinking accessibility restrictions, and get thirsty from those restrictions, so at times, we had to stop in rest areas just for me to use a drinking fountain, and encouraging someone like me to not have something to drink in a hot van on a hot summer day is also child abuse, and refusing to provide what he/she's missing, at least at the very start when they first bought the van, is child neglect. I couldn't even tell my grandma what happened because I couldn't know to do that, I was too young and autistic to figure that out on my own, that was something I couldn't pick up on, but my dad still should have been held accountable for being a bully. But at last a few years later, he did eventually fix my problem after a very long investigation, much longer than it should have been, which he should have done to begin with before choosing to commit physical violence, one of those "common sense" things to think about, we went grocery shopping at Meijer, a grocery store similar to Walmart, and while my mom bought groceries to feed us with, my dad went to the automotive section and found a portable console to put in the empty space in the middle of the second row between me and my brother while groceries were in the back between the third row bench seat and tailgate. That console eliminated the drinking accessibility restriction and freed my hands from my pop cans while taking something to drink with. Finally after being able to ride more comfortably and conveniently, no more fuss was heard about lacking cupholders. So parents of today and the future, bottom line, one of the jobs of a county government employee, like the one you saw above, is to teach you that you can't just treat your kids in any way you want, autistic or non, how about you stop, think, investigate, and give him/her what he/she knows what he/she needs instead of being violent bullies or bossy know-it-alls to them?!

She doesn’t deserve to be a FOSTER MOM… the whole point of raising a foster child is to care about him/her like one’s own child and make him/her feel at home in a loving family
The foster mom wouldn’t even had e cared if he died or was suffering serious health problems from the heat of exhaustion
She doesn’t even deserve to have her own children and it doesn’t matter how big/little child is
And being back in the foster care agency is better than living with a toxic foster parent, because there could be hope that a foster parent may love him unlike that stupid Debbie

We had to say this, the words cannot describe how the foster mom left the child in the car. Anyone knows that leaving a minor especially him (The child) in the video in the car is against the law. Don’t get us wrong. We’re just saying it because sometimes it’s not a good idea to leave a child in a car cause what if someone got sick and die? That wouldn’t be legal. 🤔 Luckily she did not end up in jail. 🙂
