    BROOOOOOO i've been looking for the band A for 20 years almost. They were featured on the first episode of a Québec tv show called 123 Punk, and as you hinted at their name has really prevented me from ever finding them as I has no song names or album to pair with A.
    Thank you so much, no idea if I will still like them as much as that one time as I have been quite disappointed by some bands I had also been searching for. But that's how it is.

    Great summary of what a Green Day show is like. I was lucky enough to see them on their first European tour when they were the warm-up act for Bad Religion. Short, sweet and generally OK - how they are best taken. Took my kids to see them 10 years ago (not my choice but they both loved them at the time) and it was exactly how you described it.

    2012 Punk Rock Bowling. The Addicts which are just fucking great put on one of their best performances I have ever seen and the headliner was NOFX. Well Fat Mike could do only 1 thing. He just bad mouthed the Addicts and preceeded to play mediocre punk. 2 songs in we said we had enough and left. If you ever get a chance to see the Addicts do yourself a favor and GO. Monkey is one hell of a front man and leaves nothing on the table.

      Man I just had a major flash back thanks to your comment. 2012 PRB.. my buddy and I had just both become dads a year or so before. we decided we could cut out a weekend to go be kids again so we drove from Albuquerque to Vegas and slept in a car in the dirt lot the whole weekend. Never forget that trip.
      Anyway, the Adicts were no fuckin joke, that performance coupled with the helicopters flying over the event and the theatrics, that was phenomenal shit!
      Won't lie though, I'll always love NoFX over most lol.
      Cheers

    I’ve been to a few NOFX shows when Mike was trashed and being a dick 😂. Not great.
    But I’ve seen them a lot and most of the times, they were tight and sounded awesome. Still my favorite band.

    The song 60% isn't an autobiographical song. It comes from the perspective of the antithesis of NOFX. Weird and foolish to be a NOFX fan and not catch that.

      I just think there's a line between sloppy but still good, and being absolutely sloshed to the point where the onstage banter is just rambling on and on with no humour and fighting your guitarist

    • @sundog1979
      @sundog1979 Місяць тому

      @Ty-138 How do you know the song isn't autobiographical? The very first lyric, which btw means, "I'm here to get drunk and do coke," seems pretty on the money for Mike. All of the lyrics seem very autobiographical until the line, "Would you rather be fed bullshit, from some twenty-something, makeup-wearing pop-star?" At that point the song seems to turn from autobiographical to basically saying, "would you prefer that I played well and was fake as fuck like some other bands?" There are so many other songs where Mike sings about how he'd rather have a good time than play well; We Ain't Shit, Fuck The Kids, Stranger Than Fishin, etc. BTW, there have to be a million bootlegged performances, interviews and backstage footage of Mike being too fucked up to play "well." Point is, you're coming off kinda cunty by calling someone foolish because they may have misinterpreted song lyrics, which by the way, they didn't in my opinion. Just because you have an interpretation of the lyrics, doesn't mean you're right. You gotta back that shit up, Fucko. No one likes a know-it-all, but everyone hates a know-it-all that doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about.

    • @sundog1979
      @sundog1979 Місяць тому +2

      I think that 60% is absolutely autobiographical. The opening lyrics are basically saying, "I'm here to get drunk and do coke." That seems pretty on brand for Mike. I think Burnt Disc was right to reference that song. Towards the end of the song he says [I'm paraphrasing] "would you rather that I played well and was fake like some other bands?" Burnt Disc could have also pointed to other songs such as, We Ain't Sh*t, Stranger Than Fishin and F*ck The Kids, to name a few. Between bootlegged live shows, backstage footage and interviews, there's no shortage of Mike explicitly stating that he prefers "having a good time" over playing well, most of the time. @Ty-138 What makes you think 60% is not autobiographical? Also, why do you feel justified in calling Burnt Disc foolish? Do you think that someone can't be a fan if they misinterpret lyrics or have a different interpretation than you? No one likes a know-it-all and everyone hates a know-it-all that doesn't know what they're talking about.

      @@BurntDisc that's fine if you don't find their stage banter humorous but you should have known all about that before you bought the house ticket. Always been pretty funny. If you didn't like that definitely don't go see the gimmes live. They are hilarious. You would have an awful time. Ha. Just fucking around. No hate in me, it's just that 60% is comparing a shitty drug dealer that cuts their product so much to sell to the consumers who are the whole reason why that dealer owns everything that they have to the many shitty bands do the same thing to their fans on a nightly basis.

      @Ty-138 I do find it funny and I do like them live, just not that particular gig... sundog it's ok I didn't feel like a fool and I've been called far worse 🤣🤣
