Whoa! I was at the Ohio show June 1-3, when Rancid was playing Maxwell Murder end of the second night, I got the call that my mom died and scream cried while rancid played in the background. Spent the night in an empty field away from camp crying hysterically and despite everything, random punks heard me crying and came and talked to me and gave me so much support. In fact that whole event it was nothing but punks helping each other out, making friends, having the best time. Not one single fight, nothing but good old punk rock love. I will absolutely never forget that fest, the amazing performers, the friends I made from that fest, and losing my mom. I keep scanning the footage to see if I can see my friend Ruby who passed away since that show, or my other friends but I have so much of this show on my phone but the doco sounds so much better lol This was such a mix of emotions watching this, I loved evert second. Never been to another fest that was half as much fun. Even the smelly couch at the entrance LMAO still got picks with me and my friends being stupid on it. Man, just the best memories fucking ever. NOFX brings me back to Grade 9 in '95-96.. Starting at a new highschool where I only knew 2 people.. Those 2 people had lots of friends and I befriended one of those guys who turned out to become my best friend even almost 30 years later but what brought us together was our love for Punk music, Nobody else in our group of friends was really into it but us and that common denominator was NOFX, by grade 10 we had bought every NOFX album we could get our hands on from our local Music store in Northern Ontario, Usually they had to order them for us lol Wasn't as easy back then as it is today to get your hands on certain music. Even listening to certain albums brings us back to certain times in our life, It's a nostalgic time machine that can bring you right back to some of the best times in life
In '95-96 I was older and attending the technical institute in Lisbon (Physics if you can believe it). It was much easier to buy the "Punk in Drublic" CD in Lisbon, than it was in Ontario in Canada, by what you explained. In Lisbon it was sold at every major music store. Strangely, this band was never played at nightclubs in my country. I danced to Sex Pistols and Bauhaus in Avant-Gard discotechs (We called them "Vanguarda") and danced to more popular bands like Offspring and Green Day in Rock discotechs (much more commercial club houses). But NOFX was a late entry, a sort of Neo-Punk, that was never picked up or played in radios or clubs in Portugal. I did buy the CD and had a bunch of friends who loved NOFX.
i used to work at Epitaph Records in LA during the 90's in the art department. i worked with all these bands and it's great they are still around. now i live in vegas, and remember that NOFX incident.
And the world still turns.. Thank goodness, because we all know "America" is not into gun's and un- aliving people..(sarcasm) NOFX rules and so do their fans! So they said some off colored remarks! Screw em if they can't take a joke.😂
Best show I've been to in my 30+ years of listening and going to punk rock shows. I was in Richmond (shown at 18:27), which is where a lot of this was filmed. Great people. Great beer. Great pit. Being in the pit to listen to Bad Religion play one of my favorite albums of all time from cover to cover is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It was great to see NOFX and all the other Punk in Drublic tour bands at Slam Dunk Festival. Shame we didn't get free beer. Just got my tickets to the final tour, once again in Hatfield at the Slam Dunk site. Great documentary, long live NOFX!
It really is. He's such a hot mess at times, but he has so much heart. He is just himself, 100%, unapologetically, all the time. I've never seen someone be so raunchy and so wholesome at the same time lmfao!
I once went to a NOFX concert and after the show Mel kept playing a single song over and over on his accordion for half an hour straight and the mosh pit never stopped. Much fun :)

Great to see all this fantastic Bands playing. They all have been an important part of my live. I was looking forward to see Bad Religion next week on Friday the 19:08:2022 in Oberhausen (Germany). But now the concert is canceled just 2 weeks before. I am really sad. 29 years ago, I have seen them the first time live in cologne. When will they come back to Germany? PUNKROCK NEVER DIES!!
Really enjoyed this doc! Another great one featuring a lot of these artists is The Other F Word. Highly recommend watching that if you’ve never seen it!
I had planned to see you guys in Baltimore, but got sick. I hope you do another tour because this one was like a dream come true. You wouldn’t know it now by looking at me, but I was into the punk scene in a big way when I was younger, you know when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth.. Still love the music though ! If there’s a next time I will catch you that time around! So so sorry I missed it.

Went last year in Cleveland the best experience I've had in recent years. Made some concert buddies in line a few hours before, did edibles and pregamed with them while waiting. The merch was fucking excellent and the brewery selections were top notch. Just bought my Columbus ticket and we plan on going together. I've met so many cool concert buddies and cool people in general at shows and festivals
I love all of these bands in the film, and Bad Religion was my way into punk, but after decades in the "scene", I figure there is a huge diference between "US" punk, and "European" punk (I can not say what is the situation on other continents). The premise in the film is that punk is "do your own thing, be yourself, do your own fashion...etc" In Europe punk is: fight the fascist, fight the police, the government, the church, the exploatation, the racism, the nationalism...unite and win. And try to stay alive ❤
Went to my first punk in drublic show in Salt Lake City. No craft beer sadly was served but alcohol was served! Beer and punk rock all damn day! What an awesome and fun day and night that was. Thanks NOFX and Fat Wreck Chords!
Love Nofx. Great guys, fun guys, but know that the only reason they missed this show, is because of there same cancel culture that most "Punk Rock" people created themselves. When the world goes out of their way to shun someone because of words... This is the result. That being said, its usually the PR community who are the first to hate people because someone said something that hurt anothers feelings. Which I hate to tell you, is the furthest from punk rock you can get. So remember that the next time you try and cancel someone.
Amen 🎯. Big Nofx fan here. on a related point to yours, where were the 'punks' during the 'pandemic' clampdown? Suddenly the government was trustworthy? other than Captain Sensible (the Damned) - who refused to be injected & so missed out on a financially lucrative one-off USA tour with the original line-up - & John Lydon (not 100% clear on his stance) every 'punk' i am aware of was cowering in a face muzzle while following government edicts. piss poor effort. in the world of music the resistance (what there was of it) was from non-punks: Ian Brown, Van morrison, Eric Clapton, Right Said Fred - was that it?? pitiful. [edit] Morrissey also took a stand against the mandates. Unlike Rage Against The Machine 😂 who banned non-injected fans from attending their shows, and The Offspring who SACKED their drummer for refusing to submit to instructions from the Man 😂😂😂
@@reindeer-o-stoole facts. Somewhere in the 2000's some group of stuck up preps began emulating a fashion punk lifestyle. They just decided they preferred it without the anti establishment. But even some old timers have eclipsed that horizon of whackado.
@kyfaydfsoab on the contrary. it was a time that revealed the incredibly conformist nature of 'punks', lovingly donning their state-endorsed muzzles almost to a man/woman. Sometime in your journey one has to make decisions weighing data from one reality against another.
Opening scene with Fat Mike sitting there.. I just quickly turned it off UA-cam…LoL!!
Brilliant vid
I now wish that I'd gone to the Punk in Drublic show in Vancouver!
I love that Greg Gaffin made an "against the grain" reference to craft beer drinking btw...
The premise in the film is that punk is "do your own thing, be yourself, do your own fashion...etc"
In Europe punk is: fight the fascist, fight the police, the government, the church, the exploatation, the racism, the nationalism...unite and win. And try to stay alive ❤
RESPECT TO ALL PUNK ROCK BANDS AND PUNK ROCKERS, LONG LIVE PUNK.
Infomercial much like the icp juggalo festival adds -punk not dead it’s on life support
Went to my first punk in drublic show in Salt Lake City. No craft beer sadly was served but alcohol was served! Beer and punk rock all damn day! What an awesome and fun day and night that was. Thanks NOFX and Fat Wreck Chords!
We're all so old now. I've been out of the loop for quite a while and the youngest punk band I can think of atm is Radkey.
Then once called out the realized since fascism = bad, they could simply call anyone who disagrees with them a fascist. It's mindboggling. But even some old timers have eclipsed that horizon of whackado.
@kyfaydfsoab on the contrary. it was a time that revealed the incredibly conformist nature of 'punks', lovingly donning their state-endorsed muzzles almost to a man/woman. I like to think GG Allin, had he been alive, would have held his ground. (I note his brother Pinky was obediently muzzled, I believe with a defiant slogan on the badge of his serfdom 😂😂😂).
@@reindeer-o-stoolewhat an idiot opinion. Refusing to wear a mask is like saying “I’m a selfish little girl and I don’t care who gets sick from my actions”. There’s always been some humanity in punk rock……you just missed that memo
That live version of Family has no business being that much better than the album version.
I found myself chugging a beer that fat mike gave me.
Went to the 2019 Vancouver festival with my old lady. Fucking rad time, great music, great beer, awesome people.
I saw suicide machines this year at legend valley and felt like my entire life was ruined because i had not heard them at 42 years old
I also discovered them last year and saw them at Legend Valley. I remember their song from Tony Hawk pro skater but that was it. They’re sick. Saw them again at Camp Punksylvania in Scranton a few months later.
Saw NOFX in Edmonton, Alberta. September 3rd.
What's the song in the 7 minute. I've been out of the loop for years. Love nofx bad religion rancid from the 90's
can anyone explain me WTF are those tiny mini beer cocktails???
Nicely done. I'd definitely be up for a Florida show
punk rock saved my life
Please come to tulsa nofx we love it
I'll give a second vote to that! T-Town has plenty of punks (and rockers in general) that'd be ready for this last week!
Why do I get the feeling that the former festival producer has moved on to minting MMA NFT’s?
Lol i started singing the chorus to do what you want to myself just before bad religion kicked in at 5:00
