I was there in-person, and I can tell you that as great as this sounds in the video, it cannot capture the rumble I felt in my chest every time it when by. Nor does it really capture the “here comes an ass-kicking” nature of the sound as it approached. The Cadillacs had a great rumble as well, but still not as cool as this car. And the Europeans loved it.
Come to a NASCAR race next time you visit, where they go a consistent 185-210mph, and there's 36-40 of them fucking hammering it wide open. You need earplugs, it'll blow your clothes off and the stadium shakes. You'd have a blast I've never seen it get competitive like other contact sports, just everybody having a great time
@leedavis1 you have to come see a NASCAR race in person some day. When there are 40 of them at full song flat out and they come by is a whole different experience, it's truly an epic sound.

Garage 56 nascar was so successful it almost stole the show from the LMDH's, even ppl with not a lot of interest in motorsports where tuning in to just see where the nascar was and it was all over social media. Hope they build on the Garage 56 class even expand it a tiny bit to just get some wacky cars back at Le Mans.

@limpetarch98k yea other than they completely wrote this car off and wanted to start it behind the GTE cars since it wasn't going to keep up. Then completely destroys them. Also it had less hp than normal nascar specs so I would say they over achieved by a massive margin.

It was also 200lbs heavier than the GTE's and almost a full 1000 lbs heavier than the LMP2 cars, and had less downforce than any of the other cars on the track. Horsepower doesn't mean anything if you can't keep it on the ground. A 200hp civic with all of the aero in the world will wreck a 500hp Mustang with a stock body in a road course. Of course, you'd know all of this if you'd ever set tire on a track. Looks like you're too busy with video games to ever try though.

Someone who watched NASCAR for as long as I can remember, and discovering the 24 hours in 2011, I never thought the day that a Stock car could not only participate but legit fighting for positions in LeMans was insane, and the sound... Not a Sunday in the regular in NASCAR have I ever gotten bored of it.

As it is, NASCAR's ruling elite won't risk it because they would have to share power.

No way. The Gen7 is the loudest Cup car to date. It’s literally just an open header exhaust system. All the older generation cars had longer, tuned exhaust systems that generally sounded better, but were a bit quieter.

Jenson said the racing was much harder in F1, but the fun factor was off the charts in the Le Man's Camaro. Never had he grinned for so long, even after the seat.
It might not have been the fastest but it brought back the escence of race cars loud, bold , raving engines that evoke a sence of freedom , power and victory, that why the eu fans loved it.

No way. The Gen7 is the loudest Cup car to date. It’s literally just an open header exhaust system. All the older generation cars had longer, tuned exhaust systems that generally sounded better, but were a bit quieter.
@@shawncarson8131as someone who’s gone to Darlington and charlotte regularly, these new kit cars are not as loud and nowhere near as good sounding as the late COT/early gen 6 days
