hau dosen't interrupt the battle constaltly everytime you use supereffective moves, or when you land a critical hit

Giving me the opportunity to kill them consistently without any real penalty wasn't really the best choice. Since I have a personal grudge against Entei, that hot dog got mutilated, crushed, shock-fried, bitten, punched, dropped from the sky, obliterated, Z-massacured, Mega killed, nuked, thwacked, and drowned so many times that the afterlife simply became non-existent due to the sheer overflow of dead dogs that came in! And then, by complete dumb luck, a shiny appeared and I caught it with an accidental first turn timer ball! I think it was so excited that I didn't resort to inexcusable rage that it didn't even try to break free. I… I really don't like that dog. Raikou is a great dog, as he never tried to get on my bad side. I even caught it as a shiny on HeartGold. The point is that casually fighting Entei was more of a way to vent out some of my anger than anything else.

so since the zacian has intrepid sword you can have the sword as held item then swap it to him using switcheroo to see if it changes forms

Quite shocking they even thought of nerfing splash for this. This would've surely do the trick.
So, in the Japanese Pokemon, "Splash" is called "Hop", so Hop is surprised when "Hop" doesn't work. Or maybe just disappointed.

The only way is to use Snow Warning or Sand Stream and turn on an instakill cheat.

It's funny, I'll never defend The Call of Duty franchise, ever. But a similar thing happened to them several years ago. They went a different direction and everyone who's never played the games, got riled up and spat on the series. I even had diehard battlefield fans, friends of mine, trash it. It's always easier to hate. The bandwagon is big enough for everyone. But should be populated by no one. It would be one thing, to give constructive criticism, but I've seen nothing but vile speech and death threats because: "I can't have my favorite digital code in a video game." Shame.

Can you escape the battle while using half damage Golisopod while holding a flame orb which it ability Emergency Exit?
i dont think it has time to do enough damage. Unless you enter the battle with just enough over the thresold of Emergency Exit.
dude....this is not how Emergency Exit works, you have to get hit by the opposing pokemon, weather or item damage don't activate it, even if so it just swap to another pokemon, if you don't have more pokemon it just does nothing

Does evolving your starter before slumbering weald change the grookey in the cutscene with mom to thwackey/rillaboom?
I’m pretty sure it’s not based on what your starter is, more that it’s based on the one chosen. You could delete the starting Grookey and have a full team of the final evo starters, and Grookey would still appear.
im sure as the game did not intend an evolution that early in the game... so it might just show the starter you chose... as it still showed it when he only had a Shedinja
Encounters in the forest are set. You can't grind there and therefore can't evolve. However this trick does work in the gen 7 games when your starter shows up in early cut scenes.

The only cutscene I remember your starter appearing in when it came to Gen 7 (at least that you could theoretically have an evolved Pokémon for) was the one at the start of the game, where you talked to your mother. However through randomisers, we can see that it still just shows what starter you would’ve picked. It’s tied to your choice, not your Pokémon.
MitFlake Don’t be so sure. I raised my Piplup to Lv100 off of the first route in my copy of Pearl once (I was bored and just wanted to see if I could). When I spoke to Professor Rowan with my Empoleon, he did comment on it having evolved.

Use the moves the legendaries use so you can battle eternatus in the boss fight to see if you can catch or fight zacian. If this makes sense...
Just remember of how you could battle eternatus but you couldn't hit him so the legendaries came in and used moves on it so you could hit it.
I highly doubt the developers let that be coded in, I’m positive that’s a situation unique to the eternatus fight, even if it happens in a fight.

Your starter appears in the cutscene with your mother. But what happens if you just grind till it evolves in the slumbering weald. No cheats.
You can’t grind it to final evo without cheats. It also would still only show the base starter since it doesn’t call the Pokémon from memory. If it called your Pokémon from memory, Shedinja would’ve appeared.

Maybe because it always goes last? Messing with negative priority moves might mess with the fight a little.
The ability Stall could be interesting to test
I think it's because the game first check if the conditions for move's usage are met, then executes the move. Counter fails because Zacian/Zamazenta don't hit you.

You probably warp to your house. It's likely that cheats caused him to go to a Pokemon center unintentionally.
It may have something to do when he skipped talking to Hop, normally you wouldn't be able to skip talking to him.
Likely what happened is that skipping Hop's cutscene messed up the event flags in the game. The game sent them to the default pokecenter instead of home for some unknown reason, which caused the game to think they were further than they really were.

Try the ability Stall from Sableye, makes you always go last, that or the item Lagging Tail, does the same thing. Perhaps the move Vital Throw too? Seems like you're programmed to go first regardless of speed, but those things supercede any priority and force you to have a negative priority... Aka reverse Extreme Speed xD

Try running out of moves and using struggle. Or try to hack the legendary pokemon to see if you can make it use moves or run out of moves.

Try smeargle's ability to learn the legendary' mist attack.
We know what attacks it actually has thanks to Ditto Impostering it. It's not actually got the mist attack as a move.
How Sketch works is that it copies the last move used, since the last move used isn't a move Sketch would fail. I use the word "would" because the mist prevents all effects of a move, including Sketch's copying ability. For messing with the mist you need to use abilities or items.

Usually those abilities still proc when you receive them (Unless Trace is somehow different) - I used a Runerigus with Wandering Spirit against Zamazenta and we kept trading Dauntless Shield back and forth with each other. Our defenses went through the roof

Traced Intimidate worked in Gen 7, so unless a change was made to Trace it should’ve worked.
Every time the question is "can X pokemon be hacked to be shiny?" The answer is yes. Gsmefreak makes sure to have shiny forms of every pokemon just so if someone's hacks one in, it doesn't crash the game for the poor soul who receives it in wonder trade.
Also in case they decide to make a super special event where they gift a shiny previously unobtainable, so they don't have to patch the game every time.

Hm, that fight sure is interesting. So, having seen all this, I guess it‘s safe to assume that ALL moves have no effect, even stuff like Aura Sphere for example. We know that it can get hurt by ability induced weather, but what about Burn and Poison? Obviously moves don‘t work, but is it maybe possible to use Synchronize to poison/burn it or somehow hack status onto it (like either making it hold one of the orbs or just starting the encounter with it being poisoned/burned). Would also be interesting to see if there‘s any way to Leech Seed it.
Synchronize doesn't work at self inflict negative status (Like using the orb to inflict the burn into itself)
So basically, just cheat? :D
How do you hack these in? I want to be able to stream a shiny hunt for Zacian, Zamazenta, and Eternatus.

What happens if you have a Pokemon one level away from evolving, with one exp away, does the Pokemon evolve after you kill zacian with hail or after the story?

I have a suggestion for another kind of videos : in the game files, all the unused moves (dead moves or moves belonging to cut Pokemon, like Lunar Dance, Dragon Ascent, Tail Glow...) have a flag that prevents them from beeing used. That's why you couldn't use Lunar Dance.

There are a few exceptions : a few moves can't be learned by anyone yet, but are coded to be usable. These moves are : Soft-Boiled, Mat Block, V-Create, Fairy Lock, Accelerock, Hold Back, Hold Hands, Celebrate & Happy Hour.
Do these moves work properly when used ? I guess they should, because most are event moves or special moves that were available through events or special conditions in past games, and we will be able to transfer Pokemon knowing these moves once Pokémon HOME is released. However, what's really funny is that even though Klefki & Lycanroc aren't in the game at all, their signature moves can still be used ! x)
My same suggestion as last video: progress thru game like normal, but have some master balls. Before you get to the fight, be sure to catch a pokemon. Technically you should be able to press the last poke ball option.
i feel like the guy making these videos is just in constant purgatory, stuck in a single room with his hands tied to the switch, being forced to find different ways to mess with the legendary
I know is USUM you can have evolved starters in early cut scenes and it even alters some positioning and camera angles. It's funny introducing your mom to the large cat man you brought home. It also defaults to a starter if you have something else

In the softlock, try to talk to Hop and see if it works. I think that the game loads one event at a time, hence if Hop is there, then the professors aren't.
Grookey came from #001 in the Galar Pokédex. If you tamper with the game files, I think you could swap it out so that the first entry in the Pokédex is a different Pokémon, and it will default to that.

Is there anything else noteworthy with Memento (as it faints you and lowers the opponent's stats at the same time normally)? Would the game say it has no effect then faint you, have no effect at all, or actually say it lowered Zacian/Zamazenta's stats and faint? Or something different?

Wouldn't work at all. Whatever script they used for this "interactive cutscene" removes all move effects replacing them with "no effect" message. That means Memento will not do anything.

Since its probably programmed that the battle ends in the 3rd turn and your Shedinja dies in the 3rd turn, and the game ignores that because the battle would end in this turn, try having Shedinja burned in the first place so it dies in the first turn. Just cheat a burned shedinja and start the battle with that
