You have a gentle teaching style. You make it easy to comprehend the logic behind Tai chi postures and structure from your explanations coupled with demonstrations. Your voice I find very soothing as well. It's a joy to learn from you. I can't emphasize enough how much I respect that. Great video.
An excellent method of teaching! If more Tai-Chi instructors introduced these fundamental principles early on (Structure, Alignment, and Linkage) then their students would stay longer and advance more quickly. Linkage is the most difficult. I have found that Post Training (standing postures) speeds up understanding of structure and alignment.
Thank you 🙏❤️ Yes, these are the things that are harder to teach and not as fun for students to learn but critical to being able to progress. My never ending quest is to figure out the puzzle how to make the basic boring stuff interesting and engaging
Thank you so much for your clear teaching. Having watched several of your videos the feeling of stability and connectedness in my practice have improved remarkably. To mention just three concepts --- three nails for guiding foot contact with ground, upper body structure and managing ming men.
Ma'am there's one thing that whenever I tried yan style tai chi from a past few days I ended up getting my knees hurt... I saw a few videos about that and improved, but my thighs are hurting now... Can you please tell me what I may be doing wrong in tai chi that causes my thighs to get hurt? Is it that I may be practicing much or smth about my position? Actually I'm a beginner and practicing it at home. Please tell me how can i prevent it..
Unfortunately, many Tai Chi students wind up hurting their knees because many Tai Chi instructors were never properly trained about property body alignment and the internal mechanics of how to move. I have a few videos that talk about this. I never start new students on forms. My new students have to go through a rigorous Tai Chi Fundamentals program first so they understand HOW to move in Tai Chi. If you try to move in Tai Chi like you would move in other external activities, you will hurt your knees. I will make a video to highlight top mistakes new students make when practicing Tai Chi that hurt their knees and how to correct it
Keep fingers slightly apart but not flayed apart as this quality is tactically vulnerable elbows are the same there is a dangerous vector and vulnerability in the exposure of the inner channels of the arms the more they open the greater the awareness of the vulnerability we are inside an onion with multiple layers not just a ball
@@AipingTaiChi It would be very interesting (hoping there will be shipping in europe). I've watch (and rewatch) your videos about tàijíquán and I really like your way to explain and moving/doing it, so it would be nice to have a book written by you to carry along and consult (read)
I only have one question How long do I have to meditate to make an ethereal beachball appear inside my arms like you did because that was impressive !!!!!!

Absolutely. The absolute best practitioners are the best because they are practicing at virtually all times, via their general poise.

Very helpful to find training on the basic mechanics. Thank you.
In ten seconds it is clear of the authenticity of of Sifu Shirley (ShirleyFu). Everything is about the basics. Old School = the only school.

Hi, did you wrote (or are planning to write) a book about tàijíquán?
It's a very intimidating thought, but I'm always up for a challenge :)
