- This video talks about problems with unprofessional instagram hair stylists. I'm sick and tired of black hair stylists being rude to clients, lateness, refusing to do 4c hair and not giving refunds especially when they cancel last minute. This is based on my experience getting my hair done recently which was one of the worst experiences and a complete horror story.

I was over hair salons by age 12 bc the 8-hours I spent mostly waiting was never for me.
I think there is something that keeps you going back Dani. It's like as if "this time it'll be different..." until they mess you around again 😑😠
@@DrKayExplains I agree. I got screwed over in 2016 and I JUST grew my hair out after that cut… I stopped trusting anyone after that. 😔
I understand registered and licensed salons but if I'm travelling to your house, I'd expect a bit more understanding.

I went through an episode of the "NON REFUNDABLE" deposit BS for the first time. But how I got my money back was because I paid the FULL price. When the stylist told me that she couldn't refund me my money I told her "how when I never paid a deposit" lol she text me real quick and said "I don't want to go back and fourth with you what's your cash app name" exactly run me my money ma'am. And the whole reason why I canceled was her NEVER texting me back on a simple question I kept asking her. I took a chance because I really needed my hair done and couldn't find anyone last minute. after "TWO DAYS" later she finally decided to respond because I told her I cancel my appointment like the nerve of you. like I get your busy but quit playing with me and say you just couldn't do it.
I would never deal with ANYONE for ANYTHING who advertise on social media. 99 percent of those people are liars and scammers. No way

This entire video was spot on with the non-sense s"so-called" hairstylist pull each and every time.
I remember when I was told to be there at 9. YALL. she didn't come until 11:30. THEN i had to wait for her to buy food and eat n she wasn't done until 12 midday. I learnt how to just do my own hair or have a trusted friend or coworker do it because it is nuts out here
Why can't they just make it like going to the spa? You book a session, they do their thing and you leave. I get non refundable deposit when the saloon needs to account for the day but not because the saloonist messed up, and just give the client the style they want and advice them on what works best for them. Also, my pet peeve, don't gossip.
The gossiping! Gosh, I've overheard of so many things to do with people I don't even know- their marriages, kids, affairs... It's so bad!
I also wanted to say that I really enjoy the content I have been seeing from your channel. I also watch about pretty privilege and agree about the things you said not just about the subject itself, but also about the girl who you referenced. I enjoy seeing and hearing more honest people. I find honesty in social media comes so few and far between Thank you for being somebody who can express themselves honestly.

Making an appointment with MANY black stylists means nothing. A 9 am appointment could mean 9 am - Noon...it's a joke.
9am: I text, "hi, I'm here"
9:30am: no response, so I go back home
9pm: stylist text's "hey boo can you come now?"
I'm not gonna beg and plead with a stylist to do my hair! If I send texts, dm's, phone calls, voicemails, and carrier pigeons, but keep getting ignored, I'm giving up and going elsewhere. I don't wanna be treated like an annoyance. I just wanna get my hair done. And everyone needs to stop putting up with the blatant disrespect that they show customers as if that's part of the job.
Thank you for letting me know that I should call it a booking fee. I charge late fees shampoo fees and i practice good time management I’m eating before so if you there at 8:45 and you booked for 9:00 I’m eating and you’ll wait
My first question to you is do you live is the states? If you answer yes to this question then let me invite you to my mothers shop. She has been in business for her self as a hairdresser for almost 40 years. She owns her own shop in California and if you are truly interested in a great experience I ask that you get in touch with me and I will give you all the info for a good experience with a great hairdresser. I am not just saying this because she is my Mother but I know that she enjoys her job. She spends most of her time at her shop and its not always to doing business. Sometimes she’s just their because somebody needs to talk or want to know how to …. I think you and anybody else that gave her a try would see what its like to have a person who enjoys that profession do your hair.
I live in the UK and I'd honestly love to find a good reliable hairdresser. If I'm ever on your side of the pond I'll give your mother a bell 😊👍🏾

Suggestion: look into fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.
