Thank you, I am glad to learn that there are improvements on the way. Staying in Quartzsite during the winter has always been a dream of mine...hopefully, I will be able to make it a reality next year.
When are they going to ENFORCE the laws on the books concerning the rubbish burning. Unfortunatly there are people camping there that were born without a brain. Breathing the toxic smoke from all those forklift pallets is deadly. And the burning of household rubbish is also fatal. I will not camp there any more.
By all means don't burn your little bits of daily trash. Follow you government demands by putting everything in another plastic bag and bury it in the landfill so my grandchildren can deal with the trash and bad polluted ground water for generations to come.
Sorry you feel that way. I have met some really honest, kind and wonderful people her; but there are some that are not, don’t let them color your perception!
@@EZLivin-zk4gm I see what you mean if they burn the toxic plastic and trash it just goes away and the grandies will not have any problem. I wish to god I was smart enough to think like that.
Probably going to be a traffic backup most of the time, will there be an alternate route to bypass this going further back? Good info and much needed improvement. Bet they can smell it in Yuma LOL!
Thank you for posting this information. I'm getting ready to retire at the end of the year and am thinking of making my way to Quartsite. I have a Dodge Caravan and am using the bucket system for waste. Can you tell me how to find out what is allowed for dumping daily? Do I need to store my waste at my campsite and then take to dump station? Does urine need to be saved and dumped or is it alright to water the ground? Are there outhouses when I can dump human waste? Thank you.
You can dump at the blue boy station daily, they don’t allow you to put it in the pit toilets and want all human waste to go to a dump station. Safe travels on your new adventure 😊
If you are camping not sell contained (black water tanks) the rules require you to be within 500 feet of the pit toilets. Skip the bucket use the pit toilets.
Not nice Lawrence! A lot of people here use the bucket system and they like it; their choice has no impact on you at all, so don’t be rude please. Thank you
Added comment earlier about work dates. I was incorrect on finish date. Work began on January 3rd, however the contractors have 365 days to actually complete the contract. Sorry for the incorrect finish date.
Some travel south, go to Mexico, there are gathering at different camps, etc. If you get on Quartzsite Chatter onFacebook, you can see some things that are going on in and around town.
I don’t comprehend the allure of staying in that area. It’s dusty ratty bugs strays weirdos and you gotta wait in line to dump shit. But I guess having y’all out there is better than having our Walmart parking lots jammed with zombies
Thanks will follow. We are around Prescott, thinking about heading out there for a few days

Thanks for the update! We are at the South LTVA and so far love it.
That’s great news! We’ve been in the long line to dump tanks and we’re happy about this new expansion!
I know….the line is not fun, BUT..it gives you enough time to cook a whole meal AND eat it then clean up while you’re waiting 😀and maybe take a nap!

Pick a more appropriate time. Very early or very late. Stop complaining.

It's long overdue that the BLM return some of the LTVA's profits to make improvements.
Have a great Christmas 🎄
You too, Mike😊
BLM “PROFITS.” That is funny and very naive.
@@lawrencewiddis2447 You think the LTVA's fees go towards upkeep? At 100,000 people paying 180 a year, that's $18,000,000. I would call that profit

There are ways to go around the construction.

Is there any camping around the pit toilets for those who may not be self contained? Thank you
Yes, you just need to be within 500 feet of a pit toilet if not self contained.
Camping near toilets is noisy! Why camp near?
Good video, thankyou !
Work is supposed to begin on January 3rd and is estimated to be finished sometime in mid to late February.

are the new dump stations going to charge to dump ?
It’s supposed to be the same s now; just a different location.
What is wrong with those who use the service paying for the service?
The LTVA's are not free...$40..2 weeks or $180 season...You are paying for the service you use
If you believe that $40 or $180 pays all the costs of your camping you are sadly uninformed.
Actually; at the LTVA, it does.
