That's pretty relatable. Most of my friends don't play a lot of stardew unfortunately. I'm not too surprised that there aren't more videos on the single player content though, because I only got the footage I did because of my multitude of farms (in different seasons). Glad I could help you out :)
1 you can remove your fireplace just like any furniture. 2 the dresser in multiplayer cabin acts as chest but cannot be moved similar to the bed 3 some house facades were changed? (like signs added for stores etc)

No problem. The beta is slightly more intensive on my computer, but if you were fine before, there is no real reason to upgrade. Since it is a beta, it should only get more stable before it's full release
Right click the game and go to properties. There should be a tab called betas. Go to it and enter the code"jumpingjunimos". Then select the beta from the drop down menu and download
Keep in mind that this is what we know as of know, more stuff might still be undiscovered, as ConcernedApe hasn't officially listed all the changes. Additionally, even if this is everything, more might still be added. All this information is correct as far as I know, but if you think something is wrong, please leave a comment, and I will do my best to re-test my findings
Another update: Interestingly, my 10 heart friendships with bachelors/bachelorettes were removed, leaving me with only my 13 heart friendship with my wife Abigail. This may indicate that you can no longer romance more than one person at a time, thereby making the achievement "The Beloved Farmer" significantly harder. (You could previosly spam bouquets on marriageable characters after reaching 8 hearts, making reaching 10 very easy)
Another update: there are new enemies in skull cavern, there is a new key item called the magnifying glass (which let's you read secret notes), and an item called iridium milk (which is rumored to give +25 health). If there's enough new stuff, I might make a part two. However, that might not be for a bit, because of final/AP exams
It's still on beta, you can opt in to the beta on steam (and GOG, I think), but if you are on console you will (unfortunately} have to wait. If you are on steam, right click on the application, go to properties, then betas. Use the code "jumpingjunimos" and you should now have the option to play on the beta. Note that once you play on the beta, you can't boot your old saves, so make sure to back them up first

I totally agree! I was all for him getting a nice cabin on the farm, but his reasoning made sense for who he is as a character. It seems that he chose the lifestyle he lives, and if he's happy, who am I to tell him he needs a house?

i dont think so from what i tried. but those cabins are 'prefabricated' they spawn in like wizard buildings

No, it's available offline, too. It's currently in beta though, so you would need to opt in to that in steam
