I love mine. However, I had an issue with some of the heads not spinning and the whole unit would “stutter” instead of starting up. I had to send the whole kit back for an exchange. Pain in the ass. Be a lot easier just shipping back the shaver by itself.

I bought this model (Diamond) using the KEN code and after 2 uses, the battery went from 100% to zero... I had to recharge it. You think they'll switch it out for a different one?

Great Video Ken, cool channel! Question for you on the Diamond though that I couldn't tell from what you show. The outer casing and all is metal from what you said, and I get that the updated the motor and a few other workings. But did they change the materials for the connection socket to the blade at all? Or is that part still relatively all plastic? I ask since my first Gold recently kicked the bucket after about 2.5 years, and the place where it failed was in the connection. The plastic tabs on the head that lock in the head had broken off, and the head wouldn't stay on securely. I can see how some of my habits (i.e. tapping it on the edge of the sink to loosen/clean out stuff; traveling with the blade still connected) might have weakened it, and I will watch to do less of those in the future. But was curious if they upgraded the material there too to resist such a failure? Not ready to buy this just yet, Skull Shaver Customer Service hooked me up (Kudos to them, pleasant and easy experience) with a good deal on a replacement head for now, but might factor in if I buy another. Otherwise great overview of the upgraded features. When I first saw it before your review, I had thought it was all trim, fringe extra items I wasn't sure about, and extra warranty, but I can see now there's more to it. Thanks!
Q yours still working ? I had to return my third one so they’re gonna give me a full refund. I’m going to go back to the original models. I have a silver coming next week brand new. My gold model still works fine, just the screen won’t light up anymore. Figured I’d go with bare bones model so less issues

I bought the diamond and didn't like it, I found it too heavy when you use it with your hand on the blade part, middle and index finger in the two "groves' of the body, as it is designed for. When using it that way the heavy body keeps pivoting sideways , because of the weight. I noticed that in the demo you hold the body with your full hand, but that's not how it is designed. I've used the gold and am using the platinum currently. I will sell the diamond to retrieve some of the wasted dollars spend. Also, the platinum has a need rinsing alert.
This pricing makes no sense. On the site they have the platinum pro set at 209 dollars and it comes with the shaver, a second blade, carry case and cleaning stand. For this diamond model they want 400 dollars and the only difference is you get a slightly bigger carry case and a hair trimmer. Im sorry but a bigger case and a hair trimmer dont add up to an additional 200 bucks. They need to reprice this cause the math isn't mathing.
Does it faster with better features and more protection from water. There are a lot of upsides if you can swing and justify the price. If not, no biggie, the other models do a great job!
Holy rip-off Batman. I'm all about paying for quality but the Platinum and Braun clippers are a better tag team for half the price. This feels like a money grab and you're paying for the addition of regular clippers and a travel bag that's bigger than my carry-on. Since we're not going swimming with our shavers, the only significant difference between platinum and diamond is the shell because they're both fine in the shower and they use the same blades.

If you travel a lot, and use the extra trimmers, yes. If not, the Gold is great also!

What is the different between all of there shavers besides finish and size? Is the diamond pro worth the money compared to the platinum?
Mostly comes down to water resistance levels and motor. The diamond also has a more durable metal construction.

I have never had that problem. My Gold is 4 years old and still charges like normal.

Do the skull shaver brands leave stubble or does it take down to skin that is my biggest concern over a blade

Closest shave with any electric shaver. Nothing like a straight razor shave, but gets really close.
