That's some good instructing. Calm, simple and clear instructions that wont overwhelm the student. Learned a couple of things that I will implement in my routines. All this time I thought Gil was just a pretty face!

As a new instructor, I've been looking for a video like this to work on cadence and timing. This has proved to be a great resource, thank you!

Glad you found it helpful! That's the idea behind putting together these types videos, some "continued education" for instructors. We plan to put together more of these.

Great instructing. It's fun and rewarding when the light comes on and the student gets it. Huge improvement from the start to the finish of that session. When my students don't go all the way to track out, I tell them they put race track out there, we might as well use it.

Thank you for sharing this video. This was very helpful in demonstrating the delivery of instructing a student in a calm manner with lots of information but done so in a non overwhelming way.

Your progression in such a few short laps is awesome. Hoping to do my first hpde soon and this makes me feel a lot better about it.

Ah, I wish I had seen this video before my first race weekend at Summit Point! Very helpful and informative. Thanks! This is a genuinely tricky track. I think for "search optimization" the title could be something like "Summit Point: HPDE Instructor Files." I did a lot of searching for Summit Point videos leading up to my weekend and this one never came up.

This is one of the best videos I have found getting ready to go out for a track day. Really outstanding job and well presented.

Thank you for sharing. My wife will participate in her first DE this spring. I race with NASA and have gone through the DE program, but it is difficult to paint a picture of what the experience is like for your first time. In this case, a video is worth a much more than a thousand words.

Awesome coaching on the breathing. We don't realize how little we "breathe well" when driving under stress.

I'd like this video several times, if I could. There's a masterclass of technique in play here.

Thats way too much... this is maybe helpful if you have 0 expeirece at this track but i have raced it 100s of times on sim and it would only mess me up with all conflicting emotioninal insturction
