It would be awesome to see you recreate some old Hollywood scenes. You could pick your Best Picture Favourites from the 30s to somewhere like end of 50s, maybe even 1920s. Love your work and I hope someday to meet and work with you. You are an inspiration to me!
That's a video hangover. I get it all the time, with people getting more and more skilled in videography. Hope you'll find something to match up this experience.

To be honest, as someone who's learning and wants to do filmmaking, your videos are inspiring and teach me a lot in a special way. Most of the facts that your explaining like lenses, lightning etc... i'm familiar with that, but I just love to see the proces. The way you're thinking about how to make the shots happen, just helps me so much, because I can see how actually of the rails and crazy I can get, because no matter how an idea is silly, it might be your winning point. Thank you :)
This is just INSANELY detailed and talented. 10/10, I wish I had a fraction of your motivation. Not only are the shots of the actual pieces beautifully made, the actual video itself has a ton of really beautiful shots and angles that make the whole thing feel like a film and not just thr parts that recreate films.
I did a similar shot of smoke/fire outdoors and I used a long AC duct tube with holes punched along the tubing… worked like a charm.(obviously you need to take into count that as the smoke reaches the back of the tube there is less of it. So make the holes smaller closer to the fog machine and larger as you get to the end of the tube. Also this is a very good example of testing everything you need for the day, before the day! So that you do not waste yours or anyone else’s time.
I love how you put the price tag on it. I think that is what gets people to click more. It helps alot of us interested understand that Hollywood, though working on a different budget, is also throwing money away and that these things with our creativity and skill can in some ways compete without the huge crazy budget.
These videos are so satisfying to watch. The pasting, the visuals and the concepts are so well executed. I think there should be a major part of UA-cam that’s shot like this
Tip for sinking to the bottom: exhale completely. Removing the air from your lungs makes you denser and you should begin to sink... unless you're fat. The density of the camera should help with sinking too. No need for weights.
I have been waiting for this series’ continuation! You did an incredible job at capturing and recreating each film’s tone! Can’t wait to see what you’re up to next!! Congrats on the wedding!
I had a moment of realization that I watched part 1 this summer and hadn’t seen anything from you since. So I tried to find the video and found your channel only to see you’ve uploaded plenty since! Subscribed immediately and started part two! Brilliant work
Man to be real honest beautiful shots are what made me go into movies in the first place. It captivates me so much I often think how cinematographers make such shots. Seeing you do them in a budget friendly manner is amazing and motivating for many cinematographers and film makers. You deserve more recognition and followers my friend.
What a gift this UA-cam recommendation was... I am speechless. 😳 I don't think I've ever felt so inspired to create after watching a UA-cam video. I just discovered this channel through this video, and watching you explain & experiment through the process of creating so many different shots, discovering new techniques, seeing the good & the bad / what worked & what didn't, and finally getting such incredibly close to the original results was such a beautiful experience. It scratched a special spot in my brain. I learned and got so much inspiration from this. I want to thank you William for this amazing video, and I am now a gladly new subscriber who can't wait to marathon-through your other videos and the upcoming ones ! 😊

the dicapak underwater case is what I have and it is incredibly annoying to use. I filled mine up with paper towels for my test run before I even thought about putting my camera in that thing. In the end I was able to get an alright underwater shot of the model that worked though.
This was one of the most well done videos I’ve ever seen on youtube. I hope that you’re gonna be a film director soon, even this video was soo well put together, i cannot imagine a talent like you would do anything else. Hope to see a future film of yours. Don't put weights on yourselves! The body density is less than water WITH air inside your lungs FULLY, so breath all of the oxygen out of your lungs and you will automatically sink no matter what. Hopes this helps in future shots!!!
I was thinking the exact same. People automatically breath in when diving even tho it doesn't really change the ammount of time you can stay down there and makes you float
We tried that first, but I had a ton of trouble with it. Our actress was able to do that pretty well, but she wanted weights to be able to get to her spot faster. In the future though, if we do add weights we'll do something more proper, and probably go as little weight as we can get away with.
Hi ! I love that kind of video. And for people who love the swirly bokeh effect but are really on a budget (because the Petzval lenses are 500$ minimum), the Helios lenses can be found for 60-100$. They're old, from the 50's and 60's, but they are for sure worth trying. It's really a lot of fun.

I do underwater filming professionally and it has been great fun to see you struggling with the underwater shoot xD One (unpleasant but very useful) tip for sinking is to let all the air out. I always go in freediving and depending on how deep I go down I let more or less air out. It is something that takes time to master, but when you get it you can control the buoyancy almost as well as a scuba-diver. But of course, If you have weights it gets way easier to sink. Regarding the underwater housings.... Yes, they are expensive as hell. Mine was +3000 bucks + the lens port. Good thing I can dive down to 100 meters. Bad thing is that, If I ever reached that depth while freediving I will break all records, because I won't come up soon.
What should I recreate next?

You should recreate a sitcom
If you want a huge challenge, try to recreate something from Dune or the Matrix for example.
