I love every part of this channel, the learning, and storytelling and, obviously, the cinematography Especially how you match it to the movie for the whole video
Long wait is over!! Your videos are seriously a game-changer! They've taken my cinematography knowledge from zero to actually knowing where to start. Thanks for all the inspiration and tips, really appreciate what you’re putting out there! Never stop making videos about lighting and cinematography!
Back in the 90's I helped a friend do his final film project for Emerson college. We made our own dolly track using some lengths of metal tubing along with some jerry-rigged carriage wheels screwed to a two inch thick board. we also made our own steadicam rig along with an crane-mounted overhead camera rig we could attach to the cart. It was all very cheap and indie but it worked great.
Look, all the criticisms for this film are probably true, but it was genuinely the most beautifully shot movie I've seen whole year and that was enough reason for me to say I liked this film.
This is what is totally worth my time! You need a trillion new this and that is not what makes us better in our craft. Analysing and learning step by step is ! THANKS A LOT for this amazing "This is how we made it" ....
*dude I have no idea how you can manage to keep me that captavating, enteratined, laughing, wondering and being in awe at the end in one single video! A masterclass of a video!
I remember William first creating the idea of recreating shots and showing it to everyone when he had maybe 5k followers on Instagram. It's amazing to see where you have gotten! Th editing, the lighting the professionalism, and journey are incredible!
The fact that the shots of you just sitting at your desk are equally as beautiful as the shots you're trying to recreate is a testament to your skill as an artist. Extremely impressed with every video you put out
I learn so much from your channel but most of all it just inspires me to go out and shoot and figure it out on the way. Thank you for being quite possibly the best filmmaker channel on UA-cam besides maybe studiobinder. Your vids are awesome!
ahhh this was beautiful!!!! your videos always make me feel so deep with admiration for your work and longing for filmmaking in general, you nail it every single time i can not wait to see what you do next. much love
Як же це пиздато, вибачте не слові. Чувак просто займався відеозйомкою протягом 8 років, а тепер фільмує відоси в Ютуб, які я із захопленням дивлюся щоразу! 😁
You killed it definitely 💯 maby will be cool to make only a lighting course for beginners to advanced like as budget variants like split in to three bugets to approach cinematic lighting When how where why to place certain lights for example en eye light… you got it Thanks a lot it was very helpful. Stay healthy man.
hey guys! one more tipp to create a dolly in is with a weelchair. i did it in a szene and it worked great cause the weelchair has big wheels and a very soft rolling. try it and place ur DOP in this thing :)
could put a monitor in the actor's eye line so he can line his face up with the lipstick smile. Could even bee the same screen the focus puller is watching. Just avoid reflections. Also another solution for drawing on a precise spot on glass WITHOUT marks is having the outline posted further away behind the glass, out of frame but in line with the drawer's sight, which can be consistent if she looks through a little cutout view finder, or toilet paper role, held by a stand. Then she can trace the distant outline with one eye closed. OR... she could look at a little monitor with marks drawn over that.
That smiling shot is so simple yet so complicated
Haha, it is; it took me the same amount of takes. And I had to pull focus myself.
😂
I love every part of this channel, the learning, and storytelling and, obviously, the cinematography
Especially how you match it to the movie for the whole video
William isn't Joking around...
7:26 I was thinking "Wait, he's using his wife's? I... don't think she would lik--yup that's what I figured." LOL
the way every video is built up from the ground is awsome. This channel is heavely underrated
Best cinematography I've seen in years. Good effort. I absolutely loved Folie a deux, but I can see why this isn't a movie for everyone.
same here brother.
It is so satisfying to watch those videos! It’s like a Masterclass in every single one, I really enjoy it
My god. Your vids aren't just vids. They're short movies, it's art...
