Hello! Everyone runs their knit-alongs differently. For Aimee's, it's hosted on Instagram. You knit a pattern of theirs (and I didn't know this at the time but it can be one of their patterns OR using a yarn purchased from them) and post on Instagram with the hashtag provided and tag them in the post. Then when the hashtag is clicked on or followed, people can see what others are making. For this KAL, there are prizes and the host will randomly draw from the hashtag (or other method). The spirit of a KAL is to have community of knitting something collectively. I would recommend you look specifically at Aimee's Instagram (linked in description box of video) for the post for more related to the KAL!

This is the best way to have my first cup of coffee in the morning. It is so much fun to get a little gift box like that to unpack. For several years, I worked once a week at our LYS and it was my task to unpack all the yarn and price tag it. Absolutely my favorite day of the week.

It was lovely spending some time with you today Stephanie! I completely agree about loving when summer yarns come in 50g. So much easier when summer weight garments don’t need as much yardage. I’ll be casting on my #ASMKAL2024 project this week. 😊
Hi Mia!!! Right?!?! It annoys me when I only need 10g more (or whatever less than 50g) and then I'm thinking, okay is there a way to make it shorter somewhere so I don't have to buy more yarn?? Or is there another yarn I can stripe in somewhere?? I mean, sometimes I can figure out use for the leftover yarn but if it's a particular plant fiber blend I might not have more of, I don't usually mix and match those into one project.... YAY!!! So excited for you!!
I’m so excited for this KAL. I have yarn to make the Slightly Sassy V and have the tea stitch markers and tea to go along with it. I plan to cast on next week. 💜

I have had this Soana yarn in my sights for quite a while. The cotton/wool blend for summer knits looks fabulous in pieces I’ve looked at (online, not in person). I’m curious what your thoughts will be. Finally, markers that will go “into” knit or crochet stitches! (Without opening the thing using my fingernail…)
Browsed Aimee’s shop as well… sigh… let’s say I want a LOT of the goodies listed!!!
It's so difficult assessing yarn online isn't it??? Yarn/fiber is so tactile and can behave and feel totally different in a skein versus a cake versus in fabric form. Aimee has so many lovely items in stock!!!

Was just wondering ……since I know you’ve knitted both, what’s your take on a comparison of knitting or the fit of Tolsta versus the Coloring Book tee? I’ve knitted the Tolsta, but was just wondering about the differences in the two patterns.
Tolsta is written for DK at 17sts/4” and fingering weight at 24sts/4”. Coloring Book Raglan is written for worsted at 18.5sts/4”. Coloring Book Tee is written for fingering weight 24sts/4”. I haven’t knit the Tolsta in fingering weight so I can’t compare it to the Coloring Book Tee. The Tolsta Tee in dk is written for a fit with less positive ease than the Coloring Book Raglan and some of the shaping is different. So the fit is different there - my Tolsta DK is more fitted but still has some positive ease compared to my Coloring Book Raglan. Sleeve lengths are also different in the patterns.
I would recommend you look at the designers’ pattern pages to do a comparison on numbers!
