    #portedhead. Bro there's nothing like resurfacing mating surfaces, I really like to do that in all my builds, but I use a different technique that works for me.. hood work!

      It's way better then people I see doing it with an angle grinder. Then wondering why they need a gallon of rtv

    Perfect video thanks waiting for parts to do my first rebuild of a 2005 400ex. The valve guides I got the oring seals for the actual guide but seems nobody changes them ever. Is that for a reason do the guides break or non removable or something? Thanks

    • @garagemcmatt
      @garagemcmatt  2 роки тому

      They are changeable I've never had to do them on any of mine but I'm putting a video out tonight and the sequel to it will have valve seals in it. If you are ordering parts use my promo code at bpratv.com and save ten percent my promo code with them is gmc10. Thanks for the comment and check out tonight's video it will be uploaded soon

      What that tile your using?

    • @garagemcmatt
      @garagemcmatt  2 роки тому +1

      @@skoal022 yeah I use a piece of 12"x12" Corian tile it's perfectly flat. Then just 320 or what I like to use 400 grit wet or dry sand paper spray glued to the tile. Ty for the comment check out our giveaway I'm doing soon (400ex)

      @@garagemcmatt Thanks for the quick response. I just had a couple cylinders freshly bored. Left a sharp knife like edge where the fire ring would go. Have you ever had this happen on a new bored cylinder? You can't see it just feel it. Figured I better be doing what you are or will probably be blowing head gaskets. Might as well hit the heads too. Lol

      @@skoal022 I always resurface parts even when they are new. I'm not a certified mechanic this is just how I do things and I never have any problems knock on wood lol.
