I got a question: If you have time, my 2003 400ex feels like slipping in second gear only can't use any power in 2nd. Replaced clutch and now split case again to inspect trans and all looks good any other ideas? And thanks you for videos very helpful!!!

Hey Matt, thanks for the videos. I'm going through an XR400/426, adding the quad crank, and left side parts to make it e-start. Anyways, ran across something while cleaning that you probably already knew. Getting the old gaskets off is a pain, but I soaked the crankcases in HOT water in the sink and almost all the stuff peeled right off. A little light scraping with a new razor, no scratches at all. I only figured this out after spending an hour on the first case half. Maybe you have a faster way I didn't see, mainly watching the EX engine builds for now. Thanks for all the good info!

cool video a close up on the A arm conversion its rare to see, since most forum poost about it are to old to show pictures or bad quality. i did find they they sold that as a kit the A arms conversion. i first wanted to to it to mine but i dont wanna cut and weld my nice 1988 frame, (only want a arms cause extended A arms are cheaper and easier to get) but i will probably end up buying fireball J arms someday. for now i just run spacers front and rear to make it less dangerrous. but yeah for sure that a arm swap needs some work and some paint. + de red frrame with blue plastics aint very nice... but holy damn is a clean engine doh
