    So after all this time I finally decided to do this video. I get asked all the time about this, so here you go :-) This is simply what worked for me and made me happy, its not a diet, or a fad, its a life style change.

    absolutely love how relatable you are!! I'm in a similar boat to how you were years ago - I'm currently 12 stone and want to be 9. I have a 20month old little boy and although pregnancy is the reason I put on weight - it's certainly not the reason it's still there!! I'm now more determined than I have ever been and I found this video so helpful. again, your attitude and outlook inspires me even further. thank you

    Iv lost nearly 2 stone on my journey and have another 13lbs to go, very passionate about SW and mention your videos in group and how they are very inspirational and keep me on track when I’m feeling a bit meh.     Hi Nikki loved this video your posts are so honest & inspiring I’ve been going to SW for 3 years I go to the Knowle group which is great , loads of inspiration & ideas, I’m at target so in a very happy place. SW has got me back to eating healthy food & healthy portions. I’ve seen some of the videos by people that say negative things about SW but you can tell they just don’t get it- SW is an educational tool, if you choose not to take it on board & don’t commit to it 💯% then obviously you won’t get the results, for me it was about ditching the bad habits & making new healthy ones.Thanks for all the inspiration. X

    Great video, I also lost 3 stone a few years ago with SW and kept it off altho I still had more weight to loose, I kept gaining and loosing the same few pounds! Then since the summer i gained a stone 😩 rejoined group in jan and lost 10lb but fell out of love with the plan, I feel I was taking advantage of free foods! I too hardly ate Syns! Iv actually swapped to WW and have done really well with the portion control and am seeing results! I still love SW, it taught me to cook and still only cook SW meals! Xx

    Well done for staying around same weight, you are right about being in the right frame of mind for loosing the weight, I lost 6 stone in a year and was at target before lockdown . Then put 2 stone back ! But back at SW group now and determined to get it back off . X

    I absolutely adore how honest you are about slimming world. Every group I've joined have tried to drill it in that "you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight, we dont count calories we just eat free and speed food and lose weight, it's a miracle". Yes, you can eat whatever you want, nothing is literally off limits but at the end of the day it's a calorie deficit diet, speed and free food is low calorie, and high calorie foods are synd. Avocados are incredible for you yet they are synd because they are high calorie. It's an amazing approach to healthy eating, and I love it, but i wish consultant would just be as honest as you are about the plan. I think alot more people (who have strong negative opinions about slimming world) would probably respect it alot more if the approach of the plan was honest like this. If you followed the plan and also counted calories, it would be clear that it's a plan that encourages a calorie deficit, my syns are always 300 calories per day, 15 syns = 300 calores/20 calories per syn, no matter what I eat. It's very creative and a wonderful way to approaching healthy eating and a less stressful way of losing weight. I wish more people could see the simplicity of it, I think slimming world would receive a lot less "hate". Love your channel!

    I think you hit the nail on the head 11 mins in, its wanting it enough to have that self discipline and drive to want the weight loss and self esteem more than shoving an extra poppadom or drink down you. Seeing the longer term goal and picture and not going for quick pleasure fixes! Really good motivational vid :)

    I enjoyed your video you are very relatable and I agree with everything you said I was a target member like yourself I lost 3 st and went from12 st 3 to 9st3 back in 2011 and kept the weight off until my son was born in 2015 back then my life was different I was out every week in a new dress like you said ha.but I then lost my mum and my son arrived and I let things slide did t take care of myself properly and comfort eat and I’ve now regained 2 stone but I m now back on the plan and intend to get as close to where I was in 2011 I know I felt better in every way then and I want to be fit and healthy and see my son grow up and your video has inspired to keep on keeping on you look really well and I wish you and your family all the best x

    Had my son a year ago and I eat like m pregnant still. I've got to lose 3 stone. I'm 5 foot exactly and sticking to daily calories of 1200 is difficult sometimes. Thank you this video helped. XX

    Hi Nikki. I honestly learn more from you than my own SW consultant. I have completely fallen off the wagon and feel so down by it all. I lost 5 stone calorie counting 10 years ago. I felt great. I kept it off for most of that time with no real problems until about 4 years ago when it started creeping back on (I won't go into details) since then my weight has been up and down, I've felt great and I've felt awful. I started SW early January and it went well to start with but now I feel like I'm getting no where.

    great video Nikki and it took me back down memory lane to when I first started sw years ago and it was the red and green days.. I found it more of a struggle but defo bigger weight losses but I wasn't in the right place mentally and would start and stop , each time piling on more and more weight over the years.. it's taken drastic health problems to really motivate me into losing it now. . o remember the Stagg chilli and also Asda Chicken Jalfreszi which was also free which I lived on lol.😂

    I wish their was a consultant like you where I live - your passion and motivation is sooo much more inspiring! I’ve joined slimming world, lost a few pounds, stopped then rejoined at Xmas but the only time I seemed to have lost weight was over Xmas and new year when I incorporated exercise. Watching this video makes me want to rejoin but I really struggle with my mid morning snacking :( if I don’t eat something sweet I start to feel unwell! Do you have any advice for healthier mid morning snacking? I can’t go from breakfast to lunch with nothing to eat, so I snack. You look amazing - I love watching your videos! Xx

    I really enjoy counting calories! I know that sounds weird but I then know exactly what I'm eating and when to stop for the day. I consume 1700 calories per day without programmed exercise, but I tend to move around a lot and walk everywhere.. I have lost 8 pounds in 5 weeks. Yes, a slower rate of loss but I get to eat what I want ,keeping in mind nutrition, of course, and the occasional treat. I am an older female and I had 33 pounds to lose to goal, and now it's down to 25 to goal-yay! I can live like this! I'll be able to readjust my calorie level to about 2000 to maintain once I'm down to the weight I want to be. Anyway, that being said, portion control is very important as Nikki says, and you MUST be in a calorie deficit to drop the pounds. I'm so happy for Nikki's success in losing, although we all have our own way of doing that. Reaching a healthy weight safely should be our main goal.

    Thank you for some great tips. I’ve been a member for 10 weeks and lost 10lbs-not as much as I’d like but I haven’t been as strict some weeks as others. Watching this has motivated me to get my head down and really consider syns and speed foods etc. It is definitely a lifestyle change-I hardly drink anymore, no more chocolate watching tv on an evening, more exercise and planning meals in advance. I’m just a slower loser I think but we are all different and lose at different rates and I will continue to do so until I get to my goal :) thank you xx

      It takes about month get you head around it. Use tools ask question loads of people out there too help. Take your weight over a month. You will soon see results. It's your journey enjoy

I have lost 3 and a half stone with slimming world and 5 stone in total, I am at target for now but want to lose another half stone! Yours was the first you tube blog I watched and you really helped me to understand the slimming world plan.     Great video! Thanks for doing this one, I struggled with SW before, something you said hit the nail on the head for me. I had on and off days, I don’t know why but it just seemed to be a thing and people in group would say they had an off plan day and it lead to more. Sounds so easy to think why would you need off days when the plan is so flexible. I can’t decide whether to go back or just follow the plan for a while to see how I do? X

    Hi, thank you for the very motivating video. You look great! Just wondering if you think that Food Optimising works as well as the old Red and Green days?       Hi lovely I really really liked red days but they are slightly more restrictive than extra easy. Both work just depends what suits you more and you enjoy xx

    Hi Nikki, this video has been really helpful, I joined slimming 2 weeks ago, its been great so far. Do you think it would be possible for you to sort of list your weight loss, so what sort of losses you had every week when you started sw, like the first 10 weeks...i was just interested to know how many pounds u lost every week...

    I did slimming world years ago and I lost weight but I wasnt as deeply committed. I now realise that is the key and I am committed to weight loss now but I am also watching my £. So gonna put into place your tips. I.e I thought all protein is protein but now realise I need to have white meat or white fish instead of pork and salmon. Eat fibre wholemeal foods when eating carb. And I need to be in calorie deficit is also key and keep off the syns I really don't need them.

    I have friends on slimming world and they love it.
    I have looked at it, it looks to complicated to me. Im vegetarian a mother of 6 and full time job as well as full time mum x

    Nikki great video but I am confused, my friend is doing SW and we argue as I eat avocado on toast with poached egg for breakfast every other day. She will eat her SW allowed breakfast and a curly wurly with a cup of tea. She tells me my avocado is so high in syns that I am eating the wrong foods, but surely cadbury for breakfast is worse! This makes no sense to me can you explain who is right me or her? Thank you.xx

      +Princess Emmz syns are syns. You can spend them on whatever you like. Avocado is a healthy fat, so it's better for you, but calories are calories and they are high calorie. If you weigh it and syn it then great x

    I wished i could get better losses im a half pound person i think portion control is my problem i maybe wish there was a secondry plan with more limits iyswim tried calorie counting but unless you eat alot of prepacked foods or only cook one portion at a time its hard

    Like I no u are allowed 2 hexa and 1hexb,but do you have to have then through the day?

    I go out most weekends for drinks so would you just not have syns of a week? I have wayyyy over my syns of a weekend x

      +Sophie Brookes it would need to be your choice. If you're going over every weekend and you know it's taking you over, youd have yo decide what you want more. If you're still losing and you're happy, then go for it. If not if nothing changes, nothing will change x

    I'm 5ft 6 and started slimming world at 17st 9 and a size 20. Now 14st 9.5 and a size 14-16. Crazy as you mentioned you were a size 16 at 12 stone? When I was 12 stone I was a size 12!! Xx

      +Stephanie R everyone's different and carries weight differently. Mine was mainly legs, bum a d waist, hence the 16 x
