How are you?? I thought i'd do a mini series about my surgery, this is the first video, what I had and why.
I hope it helps in some way, whether that's to understand why, to gain info on what I had if you're considering surgery yourself, or something else.

Well done for standing up to the haters. I’ve had a tummy tuck over 10 years ago. Pretty major op but the BEST decision I’ve ever made. It’s this will be for you too. You looked good beforehand so you’re gonna look and feel incredible after you’ve healed. Wishing you a speedy recovery 👍🏻🩷

thanks for sharing Nikki definitely do what makes you happy! I recently started getting botox (I'm 26 so i get it for preventative measures) and the amount of judgement I got from family and colleagues was insane! But its our body our choice always!

As they saying goes, it's easier to judge, than learn to understand. Prime example in your case with that lady on face book. I'm glad you did what you did for yourself. You aren't a fraud at all. You go lass ❤❤❤

You go girl nothing wrong with a few tweaks I’d love to get my eyelids done so I can wear some nice makeup but need scaffolding to hold them up 😂do they put you to sleep for that procedure silly question I know xx

Love this!!! Wish we could get this on Netflix or something!! “Nikki Ryan’s Surgery Series” 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😛😛😛 Could you possibly cover off the pain side? Like what do they do to support you with pain, what have you been taking at home, etc? I know they also gave you massages i saw on your insta?

😂😂love this!! Next episode coming tomorrow. Pain wise it’s honestly been so manageable! They give you pain meds while you’re there for a set period of time and the massages do really help. Basically just listening to their guidance in the key. Compression garments, small walks every hour, rest, protein etc then once home you can take paracetamol as and when you need it. Xxx

Thank you!! It’s the most amazing place!! I stayed in their apartments. Highly recommend doing this as it’s so comforting being close by, they send someone daily to check on you and the apartments are beautiful! So cheap too! You book them separately x

Hi Nikki, thanks for this. I’ve been wanting a tummy tuck for a very long time. May I ask how you researched surgeons abroad? It’s taken me a while to research surgeons here in the UK and I’m just now understanding what all the letters after their names means and what registers they need to be on. The cost here is eye watering but I wouldn’t know where to start researching surgeons abroad. I don’t know anyone that has had any plastic surgery so have no one I can ask or get recommendation. Any advice you can give is very much appreciated. X

Please can I ask how long the nose surgery recovery is?
1 week with the cast and then stitches out and the plasters for another week. It takes a while to fully heal though but I’m surprised how good it is already x
I had a similar issue with a ‘friend’ when I had a procedure, she said “why did you get that done? You didn’t need it! It’s me that needs work done!” Nikki she’s been my best friend for over 40 years! 😢
Shame she can’t be happy for you but sometimes people get triggered don’t they and just can understand why they feel the way they do and that it can hurt others. It’s sad if she feels she’d like something done and can’t I feel for her but that’s not a reason to make you feel bad x

At the end of the day, anyone who chooses to broadcast their life events (big or small, all of them or just a few of them) are most likely going to get flack. Hopefully the positivity outweighs the flack but you will get the negativity as that’s the world we live in, we don’t (sadly) live in a 100% nice world. The very nature of social media being “social” means ppl will say what they want. But agree, anyone who’s going out of their way to be nasty needs shutting down as they’re not worth the hassle. As you say, 2024, your body, your call. 🫶🏼
The positive definitely outweighs the negative for sure x
