"Woman at the well". Fantastic analogy for both sides. Lots of love for you Jeff. 👏 ❤

"We're here to to fight criticism with curiosity." (9:03) How does that catchphrase line up with Galatians 1:8-9?

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

2:28 it’s called The Church of * *Jesus Christ* * of Latter-Day Saints 😃 very important correction there haha. Since Jesus Christ is our leader & founder. It’s HIS church. 😁

We members of the "CoJCoLDS" noticed she left out "Jesus Christ " from the name, but no one is perfect, right?
We're all learning from different experiences and perspectives, God is leading us all at our own pace.
This gives us a little bit more grace to give others as we all walk that path back to our Heavenly home.

@@Dian2u true! I was not saying that was not the case 😄 just correcting her. Since that is a common misunderstood name of our church. People leave out the name of Jesus Christ not purposely.
Btw I would say that’s equally as wrong to put just the acronym of the church as you did 😅 may not want to do that in the future 🙂
Also, because Jeff did not correct her. But Not sure if he heard that part since it was before he came on. He is usually pretty good about clarifying that distinction.

2:32 coincidence that she left out the words “Jesus Christ” from the name of the church? 🤔

She could have forgotten. I’m hoping that’s the case. It’s a common misunderstood name of the church the one she said that leaves out Jesus Christ. Often Unintentionally from people who just don’t know the correct name. Giving the benefit of the doubt 🙃😄 plus the rest of the video was very good!

Am I the only one that has no idea what this “Type 6” talk is all about? Sounds like astrology. Replace Type 6 with say…Sagittarius? I’m joking about that part.

I got just over 2.5 minutes in, and had to stop. If you can't show enough respect to use the whole name of Christ's restored church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, like your guest is able to do then you're probably going to miss out on a good portion of his current channels audience.

Or give someone the benefit of the doubt and offer grace instead of nursing your wounded pride.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, it's still easier for all of us to just say LDS in conversation, but I enjoyed listening to the "psychology" considerations of who we are and how we relate to the world. I don't know all the parameters of being a "six", but I can relate to the way Jeff is, and thus give him the mercy to grow like all of us need to, to grow closer to "perfect/complete" in The Savior.
And to appreciate how patient the Lord is in leading each of us to trust and have faith in Him and the truth he wants us to embrace.
That's why we call it "eternal progression", (evangelicals, call it "grace", latter-day, Saints, call it "tender mercies"). We all know different parts of that comprehensive truth, God tailors our progress in obtaining more of it, from where we are-mentally spiritually, physically.
It's a very customized curriculum for each of us. Iappreciate the effort to compare our progress with those of others, like you and Jeff, as we come to that path to eternal life with God. We all have our note to play in the symphony, and when we've learned our part and combine it with those around us like you and Jeff it's much more beautiful "music".

@Dian2u this is a beautifully articulated response, and I agree with a lot of it. I did not watch the entire video as my initial comment eluded to, but the idea of everyone having their own note to play and the process of eternal progression, I completely agree.

Getting upset that someone doesn't use the full name of the church seems to me to not allow much grace in a conversation. And runs up next to compelled speech. Ala if you don't use my self proclaimed pronouns we're done. And as an aside not really aimed at you but every time I see people walking away from being called a Mormon and getting g strident for the full church name some of the little kid still in side me that used to joyfully sing im a Mormon yes I am and if you think to study a Mormon I'm a living specimen back in primary dies a little bit more inside. That said it's not one of the reasons I walked away from the church it just makes me sad when I hear it.

    • @toshinorivaille
      @toshinorivaille 5 місяців тому

@Gabrielwachter672 I'm not using it in the sense of compelled speech, and honestly, if mormon was used, it wouldn't bother me as much. the guest, pastor Jeff, uses it to connect the non-members to the members to be on the same page, and I get that. I completely disagree with self pronoun adherence or use. I use the church's full name based on being called to do so by President Nelson. I know that non-members have no reason to do so, and due to history, they will more than likely use Mormons. Saying "church of latter day saints" though I initially took as intentionally lazy, or generally disrespectful. Her guest, who is not of the Church, uses the name, and I feel as though even if she doesn't believe it, it's not respecting a large portion of her guest's viewing base or members in general.
