Body camera video released by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office shows a deputy and his K9 partner capturing two men accused of stealing and crashing a SUV. Saturday, Sheriff Chris Nocco says, Jacob Montgomery drove off with David Brunton in the passenger’s seat inside a stolen Ford Explorer. The two are accused of leading Dep. Nick Carmack on a chase that ended when the two crashed into a pole on a road in Hudson. The two tried to run away, so Nocco says Deputy Carmack released his K9 partner, Shep, on Montgomery. The deputy apprehended Brunton and made the handcuffed suspect run along with him on a frantic chase to retrieve his K9 and the other suspect. “He probably was worried,” Nocco said “That’s his dog, that’s his partner.” The sheriff says Carmack found the second suspect with K9 Shep clenched to his arm at the end of a dirt road. Backup arrived and both men were taken into custody. Nocco says Montgomery and Brunton are facing numerous that stem from the stolen vehicle and fleeing a law enforcement officer and his K9. "Nick is an unbelievable deputy, like all of our deputies," Sheriff Nocco said. "It shows the passion for the deputy, for the K9."

You can actually hear the panic in the officers voice calling for his dog. Anyone who's ever had a dog that's gotten away and they're trying to find them will understand that moment of panic I don't care how well that dog is trained you never know what the suspect is going to do.
Moral of the story- you’re gonna have bad day getting bit my a k9, but you’re going to have a much worse day if you hurt that k9.
@@Clair1801 Worse day? Try last day.

What an absolute legend this officer is. Bringing a suspect with him for a run through the forest. I don't think I've ever seen that in the hundreds of videos I've watched.
shout out to the friend for helping the cop, by running to his friend so he could be arrested also. LOL
That's what I'm saying ... OUTSTANDING!!
LMAO that has gotta be the most humiliating arrest ever. “You’re under arrest, now help me arrest your partner”.
Right? Lol cop smokes him before arresting him
😅
He was very smart to help he can say he didn't realise it was stolen and would try and wanted to try and help get the driver once he realised it was stolen
Embarrassing or not he had no other officers with him and handled the situation very well. Got both suspects and saved his dog with a whole man attached to him this officer did very well.
😂😂😂
I can hear his fear when he can’t find his dog. I have two dogs and the thought of not knowing if either one is okay would scare the shit out of me.

@@OneHorribleGamer how tf do you lose 5 dogs in a month?
Can we get a round of applause for the officer who essentially detained not one but TWO suspects at once with the help of his K9? That takes courage, IMO. He had no idea if either of them were armed or if the one would kill his dog but he managed to get them both more or less under control essentially without help until the end. Shep is also a very good boy and was definitely half of the team. The officer wouldn't have been able to keep both suspects without Shep's help. Kudos to both.
Absolutely clap 👏👏👏👏👏.
Yessssss👮and Dog 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Seriously? The passenger was absolutely compliant, non combative and surrendered immediately and even ran for the cop and the dog caught the running driver and then the driver carried the officers tired doggie. The cop had to run a 150 yards.Big whoop. Except for the cop immediately lying in YO face like its normal and embellishing his efforts about the passenger trying to run,job well done but not that difficult of an event. Now he gets to sit for 2 hours n write his report.
@@johnmichaelkarma As you cower at your keyboard. There is no way for the officer to know if either had a gun and if you had been paying attention you might have noticed the first guy in cuffs was trying to get into his pocket, even while he was kneeling on the ground where they caught up to the other scum. So regardless of what you think while you sit at your keyboard, this was a brave thing this officer did.
Dogs are actually officers as well
Of course they can't charge you with anything but they are classified officers
This officer said f it and literally ran with a suspect in cuffs all the while his K9 grabbed the other fleeing!! This has been the most OUTSTANDING display of true K9 policeman ship I have ever seen. The officer in a split second sent out his partner to get the runner. Sometimes 10 policeman catch one person. This time one man and one K9 got 2 criminal. Very efficient.
Shep & Carmack make an excellent team, that's for sure!

Yes. You could tell his concern for his partner, human or not!
Hahaha the k strong
Yall are so dumb he's infinitely more worried that his dog is killing the shit out someone outside his view and it's his responsibility. Besides the animal cruelty.
Notice how he addresses the dispatches as a “we” instead of an “I’m” or “I”, he genuinely considered Shep as his partner and not just some replaceable dog originally implemented into law enforcement as a mean to take the beating in the officer’s place. He would correct himself with an “I” too whenever he said “we”, most likely to not confuse the dispatch into thinking that there are multiple officers on scene instead of just one, so he’s subconsciously doing it too.
That's such a cool dog relationship. The dog knows after he sits down and is chill and everything is chill around him he can just wander off if he wants to.
I like how he checked out the other guy, like, "Scent profile assimilated into scent database."
