    "It sounds so selfish"
dawg I work at Walmart, if Target hit me up and said "We'll pay you a dollar more and someone will acknowledge you exist" I'd leave in a heartbeat. It is not selfish to switch jobs for a place that wants you to work comfortably and WANTS you to stay. That's just smart. If your fans can be on twitch, they can be on UA-cam. You're awesome Lud, I hope I can stream the way you do sometime. Stay awesome!

Straight up I think the success has gone to Twitch's head. There are so many people who love the site, but I've never heard of the site actually showing appreciation for the creators and steamers that earn them that money. Good on Lud for switching and making that money, and allowing him to focus on more creation rather than padding hours just playing Auto Pets. Good luck buddy

After interacting with you and meeting some of your editing team, and getting more involved in watching your content I gotta say…
You’re going to absolutely murk this platform, (not that you haven’t been already) and although it is quite a bit more lonely I feel like you’ve done so much work on the backend of networking on twitch that those connections will still pull through and hang out with you.
You’re an extremely entertaining and well-meaning person and I think UA-cam, bigger ideas, more focus on content quality and less of a continuous grind will be an entirely new era. Everything good is scary, you’re going to come out of this with some of the coolest stuff on the internet and I can’t wait to watch!

It’s pretty clear that Twitch feels like they’re (and i guess is at the moment) untouchable while UA-cam is actively trying to knock them off. Once UA-cam cleans up some of their features and grabs a few more streamers, Twitch will probably start to fall off + ratio + L. I’m glad you got on that call with UA-cam and that they fought to get you. It may feel like leaving your comfort zone but imo that’s where you get to grow the most.
Also that Otto extension is huge considering UA-cam’s dumb username link to your email

I think they’re arrogant in thinking they’re ahead of the game so they think they’ll eventually come crawling back. Like that Mixer and Facebook thing. Honestly, from my own experience as a viewer, UA-cam’s layout and options are better than Twitch now. Twitch is ahead in game interaction from what I’m aware but UA-cam can catch up. And it’s UA-cam which usually pushes a creator to bigger heights through the algorithm recommended and larger audiences (clips and edited videos doing the leg work). Twitch needs to see it’s starting to lag behind and that what it’s offering in terms of viewership, contracts, and creativity isn’t competitive enough. Any streamers that do bigger projects are likely to jump to UA-cam if they get offered the same.
I don’t watch live, so the streams I do watch are vods for like Teo and Chilled Chaos and those are on UA-cam. UA-cam doesn’t really separate it’s live and video notifications that I’ve seen so I’d be more likely to catch Ludwig live if he was on UA-cam (and I did for the recent Mogul Money). Ludwig has a great concept for livestreaming gameshows with chat interaction. It incentivises seeing it live and participating, which then generates donos and subs from more live viewers likely to partake in that.

The „Twitch extension“ for UA-cam actually makes me a bit excited about this move…
Because one bad thing about UA-cam streaming is definitely the lack of Culture.
As a viewer, it just doesn’t feel like your own little world with no good emotes, common memes or inside jokes but it seems like that could be fixed by this extension.
The one thing I still dislike about this it that it always feels like part of the culture of twitch is falling apart with every big streamer leaving the website. It also sucks that this all comes down to mistakes on twitch‘s part like not fighting for their creators and being, in general, what seems like a horrible company with weird guidelines, policies and decisions, making other websites more attractive from the get go.

UA-cam has its same weird guidelines and policies but the one thing that makes a difference is that youtube understands its a bigger company and having a connection with the creators that will bring you success or has brought you success is important even if its just a plaque for 100k-1mil its the idea that goes a lot longer of a way than doing nothing the way twitch has and they have been failing with that aspect for a long time

For what it's worth, I think you're making the right decision.
Mogul Money and the other cool shit you make is top tier content and I'll be real, it's the content I subbed to your channel for, and it's the only content I reliably come back for. Sure I watch a stream or two here and there, but that's not content that makes me excited. I don't go to twitch like _"Oh boy, sure can't wait to watch Ludwig casually play a game while shooting the breeze with chat."_ but instead it's just something to play in the background while I do my own shit. But the other content, that's worth everything, and if this means more of that then I can only see it as a good thing not just for me, not just for you in terms of enjoying and being proud of what you do, but for the channel as a whole.
I sincerely wish you nothing but the best, Ludwig. And never forget that we all came here to watch the stuff _you_ wanted to make, so doing what you think is best will always be the right choice.

as a viewer i like twitch as a plattform where you can see which channels are live on the side, they way chat works, clipping, and sorting by category, prime subs and cause most people are on twitch. youtube i love for the live player cause you can just rewind and speed up to catch up, it's annoying you can't just go back on twitch and have to load the vod if you missed a moment. and i like that youtube keeps all the vods. so i don't really care what plattform my fav cc's stream from as long as they're happy. i think it was a good decision for lud, i think his community will find a way to watch him on yt. it makes so much sense for him to switch, being valued and getting a better deal? hell i'd take it in a heartbeat. staying loyal and comfortable in that context would just work against his aspirations.
