Chris the bridge burner here - just to elaborate.
Not been a fan of Mr Beast's content for many years now, but like most UA-camrs I just ignore it all and thankfully his videos never appear on my homepage.
However, seeing him partner with Logan Paul, a man who's done nothing but awful act after act for almost a decade now just made me snap.
It may have been six years but I still have the dystopian fucked up image in my head, of Logan Paul vlogging himself in the Aokigahara forest, mocking somebody who was quite literally hanging from a tree before him. And rather than do what any decent person would do, and show compassion and immediately switch off the camera, he recklessly and selfishly exploited it for views. He carried on filming. He joked about it. And then he actively uploaded it to his channel.
And while I believe in forgiveness, Logan Paul hasn't exactly reformed his character. He's not a changed man - barely a week goes by without a new headline of some outrageous, awful shit he's actively partaken in.
So to see the world's largest UA-cam gleefully partner with a man like that and endorse them to an audience of tens of millions of kids is something that just sickens me, all in the name of some disgustingly tacky food product, again aimed at children. I'm not sure what counter argument he has up his sleeve this time, but you can be damn sure he'll exploit his 'altruistic' philanthropy the first chance he gets.
It's a sad world where acts of charity are no longer selfless acts of kindess, but corporate defense mechanisms deployed in the face of legitimate public scrutiny.

I never could fully explain why I liked Chris, I just always had this gut feeling that he's a nice guy, could say the same about Garnt, but Connor on the other hand always struck me as a dishonest person. I don't watch his content a lot but whenever I see him, it feels like I'm not watching "him" but rather what he considers would make people like him. They also do it for tax write-offs, the US taxation system is structured in such a way that you can often make a net profit by putting your money in philantrophy or religious organizations since it's exempt from taxes, even beyond the obvious public image benefits. Even though theese things are supposed to be non-profit there are many ways to legally abuse the system to come out with more money than you would have had just not putting money in charity and paying regular taxes instead.

I am 25 that time. Now it is just like challenge video that I dont care too much. Remember Chandler challenge arc? he keeps failing and I keep rooting for Chandler and Chris is the coolest in the group or the boyscout of the Group. Now Chris become Kris. Like wtf?

If Mr beast was doing "documentaries" with his videos, he would not be as popular as he is, not everything has to be serious or educational it's fine to make videos for entertainment only.

The biggest point againts Jimmy is the fact that he uses his "philantropy" project as a backup plan that he can use as his defence against any public acusations. "Well, he might be an awful guy, but hey look he does things for charity!" This is the kind of mentality his team aimed to groom in his fanbase, which also consists mainly of imressionable kids that can't take citicism on their idol. If Mr Beast kills someone, or turn out to be some kind of diddler, his army of brainwashed fans will stand for him like zombies, and that what his team was planning from the beginning, not to "do good things for the people". Also the question is how much money those philantropy projects costs and how much money does he makes profiting from the effects from them? I highly doubt that he ever loses money in general. Overall i can say, the legendary Jacksepticeye was right from the beginning all along, and unsirprisingly so, he's the YT OG he knows how corrupted people can get with money and fame, he definetely seen this shit happend many times over the years.

And if you do that, then yes you are helping society, but dont act like you are doing out of the goodness of your heart. Its also crazy because anyone who wants to grow in youtube or twitch has it difficult if they dont get along with these big titans. I find it very interesting that a lot of content creators only share their negative opinions about MrBeast after public opinion on him has changed 180 degrees. It just shows how powerful MrBeast's clout is. It's very terrifying to think that if some on the level of MrBeast can get away with a lot of things, just imagine how terrible it could be with people who have even more power than him.

If you simply go out to enrich yourself, then it shows in the product. For instance, I started watching Connor’s videos when I was taking my younger nephew to Japan with me. I never liked mr beast's content but I started suspecting he's a shitty person when he started associating himself with fidias. I'm from Cyprus, hated the guy and always will.

Even his philanthropy was exaggerated. There was heavy editing that give a completely different picture of the scale of what he did. It was so obvious that it was all a shield, he feels like a kid with extreme gambling addiction that only wants more money and the next thrill of a gamble. Of course some of them still did have a good impact still, even if the intention is anything but good. On top of that, his videos are way too fake.

Glad to know that youtubers like sean ,connor ,and chris that i used to watch alot had the same opinion as mine , it was hard at the time to even criticize what Mrbeast is doing to yt and what his clones are doing, and the ppl he is contacting and filming with ,obv it puts on the pressure to just not say anything and ignor it really
