Openly breaking and push it to the max is just horrible for everyone else. Rules get tightend, because people openly break laws and there are no actions. So people get worse and worse. Then ludwig has another take that makes 100% sense along a similar strain and now it's all "Ludwig is a narc wah wah my favorite streamer said so" like ok man ur not 12 years old
I'm honestly surprised how few other people have said that they expect Twitch to implement a live Content ID system like UA-cam, like Charlie in his video for example said he didn't think that's what would happen. I've always felt like that was not only inevitable, but at this point probably the best case scenario aside from an impossible "nobody gets in trouble and then everyone clapped" situation
I think what Charlie mean is the content ID system will be implemented on Twitch if Twitch streamer keep doing that. And unlike UA-cam, Twitch cannot say they can't control those people who streaming those stuff. Edit: what i love from Charlie's take is, almost all Twitch streamer panicking when their stream and VOD got deleted because copyrighted music, but they also do stuff that will make Twitch go back to that path.
Seeing the writing on the wall and speaking up about it to warn the wider streaming community isn't being a narc. It's just being insightful and mature. This is good stuff, Lud. Don't back down.
LUDWIG TALKED ABOUT CHUGGAACONROY!!!! my day has been made. Chuggaa really deserves so much more than he has. He is, and always will be, one of the most important people to the online gaming content landscape.
seems like Lud is the only content creator who is actually aware that this is what every other media industry goes through. There is a reason why we haven't seen a simpsons cameo on spongebob (might have happened idk) Likelyhood is that streamers will ignore this vid but good on you for being mindful
not just lud. Charlie, who already realizes this, and Toast, who set out to push it to the limit to bring attention to it, both realize this goes on and want to bring attention to it, albeit in 3 different ways
this is exactly why ludwig is and has been a good creator. Having actual views and defending them bc they are right and not giving in to people blaming him for something he didn’t cause. good on you.
i watch like 2 people on twitch anymore and neither of them got into watching TV on stream so it's been very surreal to experience this entirely via ludwig's responses to what's happening lol i will say though, i think the vod experience is fine, the ludwig vods channel is legit the best vods channel i know of
This honestly should’ve happened a lot earlier, they cannot blame Ludwig for what the top streamers on twitch who are always on the front page, with thousands of viewers do. This honestly should take down some of their egos, let’s be honest they really thought they were hiding it well by inverting the show, having dub on and naming it backwards. With the amount of viewers they had watching they should’ve been scared of getting sued, plus if your gonna watch anime, at least do actual anime from some Asian country, (not just japan since there have been some fire Chinese animations recently) like if you were to watch animes from Japan and did the name flipping and shit, no one would’ve been caught, but they were watching master chief, the last air bender, watching American shows on an American website. Like if they watched some random shit from Japan and had an English romanization of the title they could probably watch forever without getting caught I’m definitely surprised toast wasn’t banned first, Naruto is probably the most recognized anime in America
The big streamers who started this will never stop unless they see meaningful consequences for their actions. IMO unless they see at minimum a 1-month ban, they'll never stop doing this shit and making it worse for smaller creators.
I think Avatar was the first one flagged because it’s made by an American production company and owned by Nickolodeon - Toast and Ludwig were talking about it during bro vs bro the other day.
@@Kralysk or much much worse, some company takes up civil lawsuit action against them. LMAO so they are blaming Ludwig for something that is their own fault? Actions have consequences as Ludwig has always said. But it's not his fault that they watched copyrighted material.
@@0106johnny and they won't get sued for not having all the other times? What are you talking about lol, they have clearly changed their strategy on this

Videos like this is the main reason why I like Ludwig. He's probably the most honest creator I've seen and he's kinda funny ( he's secretly a weeb tho) can't stroke him to hard
I feel like with how big reacting to TV shows was getting, it was inevitable that this situation would happen. Twitch has had copyright issues in the past and streamers getting banned and striked was inevitable. What's worse is that there is no perfect solution that pleases streamers, viewers, AND companies. But Ludwig being blamed for these streamers having action taken against them is just dumb, they put themselves in a risky scenario reacting to these videos, and it was to be expected that sooner or later something was going to happen with it. We saw the same thing play out with the hot tub meta, it was well known and it was something that was eventually something happened to those streamers as well. Ludwig being one of the only people actively calling it out when reacting was getting big might have influenced somewhat, but that seems unlikely. I don't necessarily think that he's all that much bigger than some of these streamers actively reacting. It just seems like he came in right before action was taken that made him the scapegoat for these viewers who want to blame someone for their favorite streamers getting in trouble.
lud, honestly your probably at an advantage here. you are having to learn what does and doesn't fly not with the strict copyright rules of UA-cam now, so by the time twitch has implemented those rules probably a little different but still strict i imagine) you will have already gotten used to it. hell you might have some tips for twitch streamers lol. id be cool if there was a website or app that streamers could use that would allow you to watch copyright content with ads. it could connect to the stream and process the number of people watching as actual viewers of the copyright content, and maybe take a small percentage out for bots and such. then the ads that play over the vid would pay the copyright content creators the amount they would have payed if that many people had actually watched the vid on there own. maybe code in a system that allows certain ads to only play for streams with smaller viewership so they can have an idea of how much they will be paying rather then suddenly having to pay for 50,000 streams on their ad. this lets the streamers watch what they want and have fun and the original content creators get paid. idk I'm spit ballin here lol wish i knew how to make that happen... it would take a lot of reaching out to companies and stuff. maybe advertise it as a new way to make money for the movies/tv show/ anime creator. you know, make them come to you or whatever. idk
There should be a system that UA-cam or or twitch pays these companies a certain percentage percentage each year to use the copyrighted videos and be ok.
For this current issue, I'd say that a lot of twitch streamers watching master chef without adding anything were straight up stealing content. However DMCA was written by boomers in 1998. The internet as we know it didn't even exist back then. People and companies that abuse DMCA should be held legally and financially liable for falsely claiming content that is fair use. Also industries need to realize that having reasonably priced accessible licenses for content creators is a good thing. Most gaming companies (sans Nintendo) are now wise to the fact that content creators are great for publicity and revenue for their products in the long run but other industries still seem ignorant to the fact (ie. tiktok song trends boosting spotify numbers or Toei taking down Totally Not Mark).
I understand he is your friend and that’s absolutely valid. It was just eye opening to me when Toast saw Poki was banned and his initial response was “I just sorta hoped it wasn’t one of my friends”. This may be me reading between the lines of something not there. But I took this as “I hoped Twitch would stop smaller creators doing it instead of me and my friends because we get the views”. I think everyone not just Twitch has lost their morality in holding others accountable, which I get, it’s a crazy world that doesn’t reward community. But yeah. I’m glad you stood your ground even if it ruffles a few feathers.
To be fair, Poki is also part of OTV. Like, they lived at OTV house together. I don’t think he would’ve said that if it was XQC or Hassan or someone else. They all know the bans are coming. It’s just a matter of who it’s going to be before there’s a live detection system
odd way of twisting his words. even if that happened, there would be some sort of backlash whether its smaller or larger streamers lol and im sure at least toast is aware of that. definitely a stretch
Okay, objectively speaking, the video was tame and wasn't calling anyone in specific out, the creators involved knew they were playing with fire. You cant play stupid games and get mad when you win stupid prizes.
You're a smart guy Lud. I never watched streamers before, but when I discovered you, you became the only one I cared to watch. You show more than just a streaming persona and drop bits of the real you, insight and wisdom that's interesting as well as the fun content. You're right about the copyright claiming issue. It's bad on UA-cam, and you're only trying to wave a flag, sound the alarms to your fellow streamers about the reality of the other side of the fence where copyright claiming is big league. So, if they don't appreciate your efforts to warn them, then don't mind it any more than they care to listen and understand. You can't help them all. Also, if you go back to twitch after youtube, yet again, you'll be the only streamer I watch on that platform 😂
I remember the game stuff being a big deal for lets players on youtube, since alot of games that were the subject of lets plays were story heavy so watching someone play through the story almost removes the value of buying the game yourself since you're getting 80% of the experience for free watching someone else play through. Game devs weren't super happy about that since sure some might get interest and buy the game themselves to play but alot were watching it all the way through and not looking to pay a cent to the actual game developers cause why pay 60 bucks for a game you saw the entire story for just to 'support' since theres little value to play through what you watched, certainly not a 60 dollar price tag worth, so they were effectively losing them customers. UA-cams copyright claim system is extremely abused, pewds had his own original song copy claimed by a group saying they were claiming it on his behalf and he couldn't even dispute it, despite them having no affiliation with the group, mind you its the original song on his own channel, hes just losing the money to some random group for his 100% own creative work. But for twitch moistcritical also made a video on this the streamers are being irresponsible, poking the bear which could have real bad repercussions with it coming in a more extreme form then what was originally planned. Cause it could turn into the death of react andys with youtube or any other video outlet being off the table for stream, which is a reality I don't think most channels can live through since most big streamers fill gaps with youtube react content, now you get to sit there trying to make awkward conversation with chat while you sit in a queue, just chatting streams would fall apart.
I have enjoyed these copyright discussions over the years from many creators over many periods of times. Sadly I predict less than year or bit over a year that Twitch got before it gets bad. I hope one day copyright gets solved in these platforms, but the future will decide what can be and what can happen.
1:10 "You can't have it both ways, it's either only kids watch me or Fox and Viacom execs are watching me" Bold of you to assume that Fox and Viacom execs aren't kids
I personally don't enjoy reaction streams. I find that rarely the streamer "adds value" and I as the viewer feel scammed because I support and enable someone who can't be bothered to put in a basic effort despite all the money they make off of that. I find it very ironic that seemingly every streamer always talks about "making great content" and then this is the "meta" Let's be real you're primarily watching avatar and the streamer in the background is in the background
Agreed. My watch time of streamers decreased a lot once they started stream reacting. If I wanted to watch any of these shows, I would do so on my own. Unpopular opinion but 🤷
Big respect for just calmly re-explaining the whole situation. I would have been so whinny and start fucking slurring and tell these goddam nuthead that i was just trying to make concern of the situation before it have gone south bound and never returning...
I remember when Mumbo Jumbo’s intro music was copyrighted even though the portion of the song did not match and the song was an origin that had some bases in a different song but the author of the song had permission to base
I feel like there is a very easy solution to this. Well maybe not really easy, but if youtube could just provide a service to "watch with friends" so that you essentially have each individual account counting towards a view and watch time on the video then there shouldnt be any problems. The streamer wouldnt be broadcasting the show that they are watching, rather it would be viewed by multiple people just at a syncd time. One person gets master control and can pause the video for everyone else. Anyone can pause their own video and return to the "live" time when they want. Idk, its kind of like what Michael Reeves wanted for Spotify but for youtube. The entire issue around copyright claims is broadcasting a video to 30,000 people while the creator only gets a single view and watch time for it thus they dont get paid for those people. You could even set it up so that you have to pay a small fee to use the service and people would probably pay for it.
I seriously have mad respect for Ludwig making content while sick with COVID. It's an important topic to touch on and is extremely important for everyone who wants to stream or watch streams moving forward. Twitch has been less intense that YT in implementing copyright systems and unfortunately the leniency won't last forever. Pretty rock solid vid.
my main issue with these streamers watching thigns is its not like htey are just reacting to a funny or weird 3 min clip from the episode, they are watching ENTIRE episodes of shows which has been against twitch TOS for years. And they know they are breaking the rules but they dont care becuase like you said its easy content for now, but they just continue to make thigns harder for smaller streamers who may not have the money or ability to do some of the things bigger streamers do to get around these rules
Ludwig, do not budge. I believe you are 100% correct in your stance. As a big streamer yourself, you should be even more pushy in case of this whole ordeal. Some streamers are such a bunch of privileged pricks. They believe they can get away with everything. Watching whole movies/series and streaming it online without purchasing the rights to do so is against the law. It violates an another person's rights, the rights owner (usually a company tho), that's even more important. They are stealing from them. If they want to do it, PURCHASE THE RIGHTS to do so, just like the TV channels do. If people were not stealing to begin with, I bet a different solution could've been found, more humane in particular fair use cases. Someone should smack some reason into those empty heads of theirs. This is mostly why I don't watch streamers live, especially on twitch. A bunch of self-serving, usually uneducated pricks with egos inflated by a vast number of fanboys, that rarely seem to notice their flaws and wrongdoings.
Im a small producer and uploaded a song i made 100% from scratch, no samples or anything, and someone striked my song as their own. im not even monotized and they still decided to do it. the system needs to change fast before it somehow gets worse.
Proud of you for using your voice to inform, help and give warning to those who are trying to build a good creator career. Those who get banned will learn it was their own actions that did it. 👌🏼
someone is so gonna get sued. idk y streamers r thinking that a 2-day ban is the worst thing that could happen to them. they're distributing copyrighted content w/out authorization, which is a felony if they are ever prosecuted criminally. And it's the copyrighted content of large media companies who are very protective of their ip, so it's even worse.
4:50 that's a false equivalence. The main experience of a game is the actual experience of playing it while the actual product of a movie is just the visuals and sound which can be recreated on streaming sites. Playing call of duty is very different from watching someone else do it but watching a TV show/movie on Netflix is more or less the same as watching some overpaid desk jockey watch it with you.
I don’t know you seen Daisy Encanto. Lud situation reminded me of Bruno. People hated Bruno because he saw the future, he told them what they didn’t want to hear.
I hope the streamers get banned, because man, when they come back after their suspension I know it will be funny and usually making fun of the company that banned them is great content. I usually don’t watch pokimane but I’ll watch a bit of her return stream because I think it’ll be entertaining
Devin Nash's video on this subject is absolutely brilliant. It gets really heated and the possibilities for a huge shit-show, not only for Twitch streamers, but also for Twitch as a company are absolutely wild. I think people are blissfully unaware of the ramifications of copyright law - and there could be a culling of intense proportions in the coming months if these React Andy's aren't more careful. Appreciate you calling out this lazy content, as well as taking the bullet for the ignorant streamers and their even more ignorant audiences. The whole "jealousy" argument is just so childish and willfully immature. Don't let 'em get you down, king! 👑
Honestly I kinda like the move to UA-cam cause it forces Ludwig to do more cool, and interesting streams. I don’t really like react content so I’m so down for Armageddon to come to twitch.
What I find interesting is that stuff like this has been around for years already, especially in terms of anime react content. The different is however a lot of the people that do anime react, or even manga content generally cover/censor what they're viewing, meaning the best experience is to still watch it yourself. There's varying degrees of this of course, some people show more, some people show less, but in the end they are making an attempt to cover it. This situation meanwhile is just blatantly showing the show like you're watching it yourself, no need to go get a better experience on the streaming platform its on, its right there. So, one way encourages people to watch the content legally on another platform at the same time to get the best experience, and the other (in the video) doesn't, which I think is the issue.
Ludwig left twitch and the whole platform is going to shit. Just goes to show that he really is one of the most genuine and kind hearted people on the internet. You can tell he feels bad for talking about people he considers friends but he has to otherwise it'll bite all his friends in the ass. Lud you shouldn't have to worry about what people are going to say about you right now, you see the dark path we all see twitch going down and you're calling what you see. Keep up the good work ludwig you're doing the right thing no matter what people say
It's not the same thing with games. A lot of games have it in their TOS that you can create content with that game, so letsplays, streams, it's all allowed. Not all games have that, but even very big one's like GTA5 do. So if it is stated in TOS of the game that you can play it with an audience watching then it's in no way illegal.
Nope. They do this so more cautious streamers and streamers in countries were they need/should get permission first feel secure streaming it, but it is totally a 'with our permission' type thing which they can revoke at any moment. This means in practice that you could be streaming their game, get your permission revoked for any reason, and then get hammered. This is partially what hit gaming so hard last adpocalypse on youtube, companies didnt want their games associated with content they thought was risque, which led to a bunch of corporate purges of people as well. The other half being advertisers not wanting to be on "violent" games.
^ i remember there was a huge fiasco between a youtuber i used to watch and the devs of the game Firewatch, where the devs decided to take down live streams and videos of the game because they believed it would hurt their profits, since Firewatch was like 90% story. the youtuber had to take down a majority of their videos about the game. a lot of people were pissed because at first it was totally fine, then i guess the devs got panicky about money and decided letting people stream/record their gameplay wasnt worth it. so yeah, it's happened before.
@@rainyclockuno3135 Yup, it is super common and hope this person didnt think I was rudely correcting them. The reason that Nintendo and Square-enix are also like this is because in Japan you explicitly have to ask for permission from the copyright holder. Why Nintendo tried to implement their weird streamer system for instance. Most people don't realize they dont own any of their digital media.
I'm so glad you're talking about this and I'm shocked that people on twitch haven't realized this already. When I used to stream casually for friends, I remember someone coming into my chat, saying that I should play music on stream and asking why I wasn't. I told them because I don't have the copyright to any music, and I could see this being a big deal for twitch because how much copyright wasn't respected. And then a couple months later, XQC was banned for playing copyrighted music. And I thought that would've been the moment people realized. But it wasn't. I'm hoping this will be, because there's a lot of really great content creators on twitch, but they're getting lazy and I'm worried that they'll be in for a really rude awakening once big companies fully realize what's happening and take action against them. Also react content has always been weird for me. I've always seen it as copyright infringement because most of it is. When the series finale of gravity falls came out, I wasn't able to watch it, so I watched a reaction channel. The video started with the guy complaing that Disney was wrongfully taking his videos down, but then he just sat there, didn't say a word. About halfway through I forgot I was even watching a reaction channel because I just didn't notice him. The only thing that gave it away was that some words were backwards. Before poki's ban, I saw a lot of people complaing that people like poki would pause too much while reacting, which while it might not be true, to any outside looks like that the viewers are only there to watch the copyrighted material.
these copyright shits are annoying. I get copy right strikes nonstop from people who dont even own a material. Heck, Pewdiepie Bitch lasagna was even claimed by some one pretending to be pewdiepie. It will take a while for all platforms to figure things out because if it keeps going like this, this will just be a free for all. GL all content creators!
While I agree 100% with you and streamers having to do it. Maybe it was the fact as soon as it happened you said in hasan's chat, "im coming for you next. hahaha" got a few people upset lmao
The biggest problem with twitch ‘react’ content is that the vast majority of the people doing it are not creating anything new. Reaction videos are generally protected under fair use when they’re a necessary portion of a new work that serves the public interest. I produce a react series on another channel where I get to dispute pretty much every episode because we use clips from really big shows or movies, but it’s protected because the copyrighted material is used as examples for educational purposes. Same way movie reviewers can use movie clips, it’s necessary for their criticism and commentary to be able to use those clips, but the end result is a recognizably different work. Meanwhile, most streamers are not doing this, they’re using it as a lazy crutch to fill time during streams and make money with content produced by other people. That’s straight up infringement. You can remove the streamer’s webcam and the nature of the stream doesn’t change. Going into XQC ‘reacting’ to kitchen nightmares and his fucking chair is empty is not a reaction video, it’s lazy content theft. Big streamers know this, and they’re mad at Ludwig that they can’t milk this for as long as they wanted to.
Want to know something funny, it gets abused even when creators have licensed to use said music, Monstercat still claims me daily for music used even though I have owned and a recurring membership to their Monstercat gold licencing for over 2 years. My account is supposedly whitelisted but a third company claims it on their behalf. I have to manually dispute every single claim and it only processes 1 at a time. In the end the dispute gets thrown out because a resolution can't be solved within 30-90 days of constantly disputing back. This system is BS. I shouldn't have to fight till they give up for something I licence and pay for.
I really don't understand the hate on you. This copyright debacle was a bomb in the making anyway. Sure, you might've put more light on it, but you most definitely aren't the cause, and most definitely some streamers would've been banned either way. Also I personally believe the sooner this situation is resolved, the less the given punishments can be. Imagine "Company A" finds a channel with hundreds of VODs filled with their entire show catalogue, the given punishment could be devastating (although I'm not an expert on this, feel free to correct me here). Or like you said, Twitch someday implements a content ID system and suddenly all of these *accumulated* copyright violations strike entire channels down. These retroactive takedowns/punishments have been happening on UA-cam, so I believe it'll be similar on Twitch. All in all, it just boils down to the question of whether these content ID systems are implemented correctly, and how these systems can determine the transformative from the non-transformative. Right now it's horrible on both of these fronts in my opinion.
I can't people are blaming you, for something that was going to obviously happen. The problem lies with the streamers that abuse the system to the max just to see when it's enough. And it could have already been much worse with copyright claims. It is just a matter of time, if things don't change.
this is such a good take

When ludwig talked about how hot tub streamers and asmr and shit were getting out of hand people were all "let's go Ludwig, saying what needs to be said" or something.
I'm trying to take Lud seriously, but its hard when his ass is one ascot away from being Fred from Scooby-Doo.
Now that you mention it, had to do a side-by-side. Hopefully, nobody links him to an actual costume, his hair is almost on point as is.
It _would_ mean that he has a deep, extensive knowledge of traps, so he obviously understands what the content creators are walking into.
AeonAir in the Ludwig comments, good stuff
The unsung hero of let’s play/ streaming games. We salute Chuggaa.

Chuggaconroy the realest nigga on the block, still waiting for him to play spirit tracks on the channel tho
chuggaaconroy was making the highest production pokemon lets plays a decade before the rest of youtube moved away from just 'watch me play'
seems like Lud is the only content creator who is actually aware that this is what every other media industry goes through.
FYI Toast said in that stream absolutely do not blame Ludwig.
Yeah, it's just their fans doing that.

Lud it sucks that you’re getting so much undeserved hate and being used as a scape goat but good job not letting it get to you
This honestly should’ve happened a lot earlier, they cannot blame Ludwig for what the top streamers on twitch who are always on the front page, with thousands of viewers do.
Like if they watched some random shit from Japan and had an English romanization of the title they could probably watch forever without getting caught
I’m definitely surprised toast wasn’t banned first, Naruto is probably the most recognized anime in America
It's usually just their fans blaming Ludwig because a lot of them have zero understanding of the world.

It just seems like he came in right before action was taken that made him the scapegoat for these viewers who want to blame someone for their favorite streamers getting in trouble.
lud, honestly your probably at an advantage here. you are having to learn what does and doesn't fly not with the strict copyright rules of UA-cam now, so by the time twitch has implemented those rules probably a little different but still strict i imagine) you will have already gotten used to it. hell you might have some tips for twitch streamers lol.
id be cool if there was a website or app that streamers could use that would allow you to watch copyright content with ads. it could connect to the stream and process the number of people watching as actual viewers of the copyright content, and maybe take a small percentage out for bots and such. then the ads that play over the vid would pay the copyright content creators the amount they would have payed if that many people had actually watched the vid on there own.
maybe code in a system that allows certain ads to only play for streams with smaller viewership so they can have an idea of how much they will be paying rather then suddenly having to pay for 50,000 streams on their ad.
this lets the streamers watch what they want and have fun and the original content creators get paid. idk I'm spit ballin here lol
wish i knew how to make that happen... it would take a lot of reaching out to companies and stuff. maybe advertise it as a new way to make money for the movies/tv show/ anime creator. you know, make them come to you or whatever. idk
Thatd be incredibly difficult to setup but a pretty cool idea i havent heard before.
There should be a system that UA-cam or or twitch pays these companies a certain percentage percentage each year to use the copyrighted videos and be ok.
Short and sweet, it absolutely isn’t Ludwig’s fault. Anyone who did the infringement is 100% responsible for what they did, and do deserve punishment.
I'm never in the loop with current Media Issues but this was very well made for informing those like me. Thanks Lud, Much Love!
He’s not to blame for ‘telling on people’. Streamers actively say that they know they are poking the bear
Thinking that Twitch wasn't aware and only found out after Ludwig's vid is laughable

He said the worst of the symptoms have already passed. He's double vaxxed too, he'll be fine
But yeah. I’m glad you stood your ground even if it ruffles a few feathers.
completely agree, that really rubs me the wrong way
To be fair, Poki is also part of OTV.
I don't even watch the guy and wow you're really reaching here.
Idk man seems parasocial
Just got off of XQCs stream. Mans was watching Hunter X Hunter 💀💀💀
Preach it lud, play stupid games win stupid prizes. Just because you can abuse a system for your gain doesnt mean you should!
I have enjoyed these copyright discussions over the years from many creators over many periods of times. Sadly I predict less than year or bit over a year that Twitch got before it gets bad. I hope one day copyright gets solved in these platforms, but the future will decide what can be and what can happen.

I personally don't enjoy reaction streams. I find that rarely the streamer "adds value" and I as the viewer feel scammed because I support and enable someone who can't be bothered to put in a basic effort despite all the money they make off of that.
I find it very ironic that seemingly every streamer always talks about "making great content" and then this is the "meta"

Agreed. My watch time of streamers decreased a lot once they started stream reacting. If I wanted to watch any of these shows, I would do so on my own. Unpopular opinion but 🤷

Other streamers after a Ludwig prediction, “we don’t talk about Ludwig no no no”
I feel like there is a very easy solution to this.
As Winston would say "Rules… without them we live with the animals" .

my main issue with these streamers watching thigns is its not like htey are just reacting to a funny or weird 3 min clip from the episode, they are watching ENTIRE episodes of shows which has been against twitch TOS for years. And they know they are breaking the rules but they dont care becuase like you said its easy content for now, but they just continue to make thigns harder for smaller streamers who may not have the money or ability to do some of the things bigger streamers do to get around these rules
The name drop on Chuggaaconroy
My reaction when I heard of Poki's ban was "damn Ludwig is a fricking psychic"
someone is so gonna get sued. idk y streamers r thinking that a 2-day ban is the worst thing that could happen to them. they're distributing copyrighted content w/out authorization, which is a felony if they are ever prosecuted criminally. And it's the copyrighted content of large media companies who are very protective of their ip, so it's even worse.
I enjoy how Ludwig always pronounces Valorant like Valor-Ant.
At the end of the day morals and opinions aside reacting to copyrighted content is illegal and people need to be careful

4:50 that's a false equivalence.
The main experience of a game is the actual experience of playing it while the actual product of a movie is just the visuals and sound which can be recreated on streaming sites.

They can be glad we live in a world where copyright holders usually don't sue people anymore, because it takes too much time and money.
Do still make that Online Lore video. It would be interesting to see representations of what you are talking about.
So, one way encourages people to watch the content legally on another platform at the same time to get the best experience, and the other (in the video) doesn't, which I think is the issue.
ludwig has to accept its the viacom excutive's children watching him.
Lmao of course that was obvious all along

Ludwig left twitch and the whole platform is going to shit. Just goes to show that he really is one of the most genuine and kind hearted people on the internet. You can tell he feels bad for talking about people he considers friends but he has to otherwise it'll bite all his friends in the ass. Lud you shouldn't have to worry about what people are going to say about you right now, you see the dark path we all see twitch going down and you're calling what you see. Keep up the good work ludwig you're doing the right thing no matter what people say
Well put Lud. I like these new style of videos on this channel. Kind of shows a new side of you, and it’s very interesting.

They used to have a similar clause in digital music licensing agreements for your reference.
You predicted it 🥴
these copyright shits are annoying.

The plan is simple.
Ban every streamer so only Lud remains.
Mogul Moves 🔥
Let’s go!!!!
Excited to hear that there’s potentially more online lore videos coming up and it wasn’t just a one time thing.
Not your fault clearly, blaming you is Just childish
The kids of corporate executives watch Ludwig, who then tell their parents about the DMCA issue. I'm one of those parents!
