  • With the great Cyrus gone, the world holds its breath as the next generation of Persian rulers step onto the stage; great men leave big boots to fill, after all - and Cyrus was the greatest man the world had ever seen. Would his successors make the most of their inheritance, or would the Persians tear themselves apart? That was for time to tell, and the next generation to find out.

Another video by Serapeum, another topic I've not really heard much about before. I mean, other channels spamming Ceasar's conquests are great, but these videos are special.

I love this video and came across it while trying to understand the strange story of Bardiya, Gautama, and the Magus or Magi who played a role in Darius propaganda. Somebody should make a movie or a Netflix series about it!
